The location of this hotel is fabulous--in the theater district and just a short walk to Times Square--we could see Times Square from our room, but didn't have to deal with the noise and chaos! Our room was newly renovated and very clean. The lobby was also nicely decorated and welcoming. There is a daily happy hour (5-6pm) with free wine and cheese--nothing spectacular, but a nice perk if you want to pop down for a free glass of wine (or two ;-)). The staff was friendly & most days there was a doorman at post. Our return flight was not until the evening, so after we checked out, the hotel graciously stored our luggage for the day until we were ready to leave for the airport--at no charge (other than the tip we gave). The only negative things I would mention are: 1) the hallways look like they are out of a horror movie (picture included with my review). I was waiting for creepy twin girls to appear ;-). 2) The $30/day amenities fee is excessive for what is provided 3) The building is currently under renovation with scaffolding all along the front. 4) As is typical of many buildings in NYC, this is an older building, so the elevators are super small--esp when people are trying to lug suitcases, etc. There is nothing, I assume, that can be done about that without major renovation. It's just a bit annoying b/c there were several times where the elevator would arrive on our floor too full for us to get on. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!
