When it comes to convenience and affordability, The Stewart can't be beat. As everyone in my party was taking the train into Penn Station, we were a two minute walk away! That said, at night time the area felt a little grittier. The rooms were spacious and clean. Can hear a lot of the city noises, which didn't really bother me but a few of the older members of my group had some trouble with the noise level. The shower didn't really get hot and smelled fairly musty, and I ultimately went for the dry shampoo route. It was efficient and affordable, and that's what we were looking for for our very short stay!

Location and the valet parking was a breeze. In and out was easy.

The best thing about this hotel is the location, location, location! The lobby was very nice but the rooms inside were old and weren't updated. We were a family of 4, with 1 bed and a sofa bed suite. The bed seemed like a full instead of a queen. The sofa was impossible to sleep on. It was a very thin, old mattress, with protruding springs, absolutely uncomfortable. The bathroom sink was leaking inside. Nevertheless, as soon as we informed about the situation to the lobby manager they immediately send a person who brought a new mattress and fixed the bathroom issue. They offered us a credit for the inconvenience as well, but only after we reminded them twice. The hotel could be a lot better with minors repairs and maintenance but also with more attention, care and professionalism. The effort would be worth it.

Really nice people working there. Its a great location and busy place and the staff are total professionals.

Amazing staff, authentic New York feel. Will stay there again.

The location was great, we were really close from almost everything in the City of Manhattan. Traffic is awful but the Hotel location was good.

stained towels, window didnt seal so caused noise, no environmental controls, shade stuck down so i had no view, housekeeping continuously didnt replace washcloths, soap and bathmats.

Refrigerator defrosted and damp the carpet I enquirer a charge $250 and I haven’t heard from billing or costumer service

Many structures in NYC are older but they put a nice facelift on our room/suite

I liked the location, lobby, and restaurant. My room was not clean and reminded of a dorm room. However, I was in a basic room so maybe that’s why.

Book this hotel because its rated 4 star. Entrance and the lobby is good. Booked the one Bedroom Suite because the pictures look amazing. The conditions of the suite is pretty bad, feel like a 2 star hotel. The receptionist who checked me is is not friendly at all. I was standing there for about 2, 3 minutes waiting for her to finish chatting with her coworker. She did not greet and asked straight open-end questions, like Last name? How many nights? where did you book?.. My credit card was charged with $255.00 without asking me for authorization; she didn't tell me its for security deposit until I asked what's the charge for. Extremely disappointed at this hotel.

The location was great. The front desk at check in was not friendly but at check out was very nice. The room was clean but the temperature was warm and stuffy. The bathroom had an odor that never went away.

Loved our full kitchen. Shower pressure very good.

The Lady at the front desk wasn’t very nice and helpful when we checked in. Otherwise everyone was very nice and helpful. Would go back there, great location.

Hello Anonymous! Thank you for your very frank review of our hotel. However, it is unfortunate we weren't able to get a 5 out of 5 in your opinion. Our hotel is located in a great location and thank you for mentioning that. I hope that you'll choose our property again for any future NYC visits.
