Great location but you could hear the street noise all night, even on the 17th floor. The room was too hot but you have no way to control it personally. The staff were helpful and tried to fix the temperature for the whole floor, but it was too warm to sleep well.

I was in a room near the elevator. It sounded like someone was moving furniture next door all night. There was space in the room, but the bathroom was tiny, out of date, and inconveniently laid out. The a/c didn't appear to be very effective. Overall seemed to have a veneer of a redo on top of a clearly dated property (at least in the rooms, the common spaces seemed much nicer).

Room was great, just could have been cleaner that’s it

Staff was excellent and helpful. Refrigerator was broken so I was moved to another room. The bathroom is tiny. Very clean. Good location.

Not a 4 stars as claimed but OK. Had to get a different room for the second night on, many issues with first one.

The rooms are super old and the bed is beyond uncomfortable. Nice staff however

The Stewart is a nice, modern hotel almost literally outside the doors of Madison Square Garden/Penn Station. This isn’t the area we usually stay in when, but the location was perfect for the LIRR to the US Open. Check in was easy, which we appreciated with our delayed flight arrival at 1:30am. The room was comfortable, clean and well-lit. Noise level was fine with the exception of sirens on occasion and I’m not sure there’s a hotel in the city that can combat that! On our last night, we arrived back late, so I took my daughter up to pack, leaving my mom downstairs to speak to someone at the desk about airport shuttle transfers and checkout. She was told that we would have needed to book transfers in advance (which was what we were trying to do?!) and offered basically no assistance. Additionally, we wanted to handle the small bill due and were told we could just do that in the morning. We had an early flight, so we were trying NOT to have to handle it in the morning! As it happened, we got an Uber to the airport and as we were waiting for it to arrive, the airport shuttle was there and ready to take passengers who needed a ride. Sigh. One bad employee doesn’t ruin the hotel, but those were definitely issues worth pointing out. When dealing with checkout, especially with early morning flights, I want that to be seamless. It seems we got the employee who wasn’t really interested in making it so. Still, would recommend the hotel.

It was great to have a gym on site and it's in great condition and has everything I need to keep my routine while traveling for work. It was also helpful to have easy access to the computers in the lobby for any items I needed to print quickly. The hotel in general was nice and perfectly located close to a train station and with good restaurants walking distance in any direction. I'm happy there was a starbucks right across the street.

no pillows for the children and dirty sheets on sofa bed. called guest services several times over a five hour period and at 10PM given a blanket wrapped in a plastic cover and told to use that for a pillow!!! Also told the hotel ran out of pillows! The bathroom and shower was so small it was very difficult to navigate for thin people!

Went up to NYC for the weekend and this hotel was well located with an easy walk to Times Square. We also had Penn Station across the street which was very convenient. We recommend this hotel.

Agradable cerca de todo, excelente !! sin problemas repito mi estancia

The desk staff and luggage help were amazing. The hotel was close to everything which is why we chose it. Downsides were that the room had an overwhelming smell of urine that never lessened and the female concierge was absolutely no help with the two questions I had of her.

The shower was ridiculously small to the point we had to turn the shower off and open the curtain to take a shower. It was unbelievable. The refridgerater was broken. Valet was too expensive.

Our original hotel was cancelled at the very last second, while we were in the airport! The Orbitz staff went above and beyond to get us new accommodations, at no penalty to us! We were thrilled with The Stewart and their amazing staff! Jenny at the front desk was especially wonderful. It was my daughter's birthday, and she upgraded us to an AMAZING room with the biggest balcony I have ever seen!! She was so sweet. We were so happy with our stay, and I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!

Nicest staff I've ever seen from a hotel. Made our stay very comfortable.
