The location was perfect for me being that I was attending shows at Madison Square Garden all weekend. It's a very short walk.I would definitely stay here again.

Pro -Nice location, few minutes walk to Time Square. Room is in a good decent size. Cons- Resort fee: USD 35.00 per accommodation, per night. AC is very loud, you probably will get wakes up by the AC every hour. Right next to a fire department so you will hear that loudly as well. Shower is very small, half of a regular show, you will hit the wall and bang your head when you are taking shower, so make sure you asks them for a bathroom with a tub. No power from 7pm - 4am the second night when I was there, hotel didn't offer to give any compensation. They only offer that they give is that you can check-out and move somewhere else.

Difficult to get any peaceful sleep extremely noisy at night due to police sirens ambulances etc.

The staff was great and it was a good location. However, housekeeping definitely needs to improve. Over the three days we were there, the hall was not vacuumed at all (saw the same lint/bits of trash same place every day), and our room was only very superficially cleaned. Didn't even replace coffee that was used or clean the coffee maker.

Very satisfied customer! The location was perfect! Love the decor of the room. We were walking distance from everything! Madison Square Garden & Penn Station was 2 blocks away. Would I recommend, Absolutely! Only downside was the surprising $30 fee added for each day you stay, which you get the night before your check out. Overall I give the Stewart Hotel 4.5 out of 5 star.... :-)

2 months back, I stayed at the Pennsylvania hotel next door and hated it. This was a much better experience. It's kind of pricey, but you get what you pay for with a great location and excellent service. I'm definitely staying here again.

I loved this hotel! Us 4 women between 45 and 50 years old had a blast there!!!

Lobby very nice and rooms are clean and comfortable. Even a Bar/Restaurant that is great is attached the Hotel. Staff very good.

Staff are amazing ... hotel is fine .... but space is too tight ..

This hotel is under new ownership. There appears to be no working air conditioning in any of the rooms. Not a problem in the Winter if you are willing to open a window and put in earplugs due to the frequent police and fire sirens. But a complete show stopper in the Summer.

Every time I visit New York I stay a few days at the Stewart Hotel, although it has had a few name changes the friendliness of staff, beautiful decor and positive atmosphere remain the same. This last time more than most I needed a pleasant experience and the Stewart hotel delivered, starting with the complimentary water at check in, getting better with the upgrade to a Deluxe room and rounding out with FREE wifi passcode (normally there is a daily charge). I appreciate that there was a tub rather than a stand up shower and that the lotions and body wash gave off a soothing aroma. The amenities of a modest fitness centre and a small laundry room were also a plus. The upgraded room was a plus but I have always been pleased with the room size even at the basic level. I look forward to staying here not only because it is across the street from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station (therefore easy to get around),but also because it always feels like coming home because of the consistently warm way I am greeted and catered to.

I booked this hotel room and reciecved something I didn't pay for. I paid for a one bedroom with two doubles. I got there and they gave me a One bedroom with one bed. I had people sleeping on the floor because of this. They hotel just said oh well there's nothing we can do. There was no free wifi also. On top of that I wasn't given the complimentary water bottle like everyone. They just handed me the key with no directions. From I saw I was treated differently than other guess and I didn't like that.

It was a nice hotel and a great price, would stay again.

Urine odor, changed rooms 3 times. Wall paper had water dampness yellow stains and patches and was peeling. window shades And bed skirt dirty. Had leek smell. Bathroom pot and floor and wall tiles had cracks and fungus stains. Dirty carpet.

Nice size rooms ours had a balcony!

Was given a room that was too hot over the boiler system and could not cool it other than open a window.

Walkable to the Central Park (40-min), time square (15-min), 5th ave (10-min), 9/11 Memorial (65-min).

Ok hotel-- noisy street sirens old carpet and ok bathrooms needs more updating

I will alway book this hotel. I have stayed at many hotel in the city and for the price this is the best!

A package was scheduled to be delivered. Upon text message of delivery completion by shipper, contacted hotel staff. One staff told me the package was not delivered. Second staff told me that they did not have the employee who signed package upon delivery. Third staff told me that he would check and get back to me had never gotten back to me for four hours. Finally, asked to speak manager on duty and she confirmed the employee who signed the package was one of her employees, searched and brought the package back to me. - Not a pleasant experience.
