The lobby gives you a modern updated feel. Once you step into your room its like a step back in time (about 40 years). Seems like any upgrades in the room were shodily done. Not enough room in the shower to turn around. Windows are drafty. Room was spacious though. It's location, be prepared for all lot of street noise throughout the night. Staaff there is very pleasant.

It is a very convenient and nice hotel across from Penn station.

Not so good !! Very old place

The property is directly across the street from Madison Square Garden. The hotel is very old. The room was warm at all times and the AC unit couldn’t get the room cold or even cool. Bathroom is very small and shower head didn’t work well at all. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.

amazing service -- this has been my nth time being on this hotel == it feels so eerie when you enter the hotel and its too quaint === but the amenities are still amazing

No vents in the bathroom and the bathroom walls have wallpaper on it! The room smelled like mold! The room was dusty and dirty and was triggering my family and my allergies. You could visually see the dust bunnies on the wallpaper and the curtains. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures posted on the orbitz site. I feel like I was robbed. The only reason I didn't leave and go to another hotel was because I had a full schedule and didn't have time to address this. If I had seen pictures of what the room actually looked like I would have chosen another hotel! This hotel is a 1 out of 5 rating for me!

The staff was gracious and helpful. However, the room was old and tired. There were several cigarette burns in the carpet which seems odd as smoking hasn't been permitted in years. The room was plenty large but the heat was stuck "on" and we had to run the air conditioners simultaneously to get an adequate room temperature. Speaking of the A/C units, the air intake portion were covered with dust and dirt - likely being redistributed throughout the rooms. The kitchenette was large and updated. The bathroom, however, was tiny and outdated.

Construction work outside a lot of banging and noise

The Photos Lie, no Microwave, the Refrigerator does not work, they did not Clean the Bathroom and not even the Trash was taken, Saturday Night the next Room was with Loud Music and Smoking Weed. It was not what i expected 😔❌

Excelent Service

I liked the overall stay as it was walking distance to everything.

I had 3 pizzas in my hotel room, came back after going up to the crown of the statue and my pizzas were goneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Very unpleasant. Very hungry.

When it comes to convenience and affordability, The Stewart can't be beat. As everyone in my party was taking the train into Penn Station, we were a two minute walk away! That said, at night time the area felt a little grittier. The rooms were spacious and clean. Can hear a lot of the city noises, which didn't really bother me but a few of the older members of my group had some trouble with the noise level. The shower didn't really get hot and smelled fairly musty, and I ultimately went for the dry shampoo route. It was efficient and affordable, and that's what we were looking for for our very short stay!

Location and the valet parking was a breeze. In and out was easy.

We are extremely sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. Were you able to tell a member of our team about the AC and shower head so that they could send an engineer to take a look. We hope you will consider giving us a second chance in the future.
