The staff was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful. The room was tiny---no closet---one small chair, The pool area was lovely and comfortable. Very limited food on the premises--thank goodness for the deli across the street.
Great hotel
I had wanted to stay at this hotel in July 2020, but the initial opening was delayed due to COVID. So I stayed during the 4th of July weekend in 2021, and it did not disappoint. The level of attention paid to the design and decor is impeccable and everything looks new and fresh. During the weekend, there is (high quality) complementary coffee and tea every morning, and a complimentary continental breakfast during the week. The food and drinks available at the hotels' bars and restaurants was great (items like ceviche, seasonal spring vegetables, fresh fish, steak with different sauces and preparations available, a range of craft cocktails, etc.) The outdoor pool is great and as long as you get there early you should have not time finding a spot. There was also live music every day I was there including a reggae band on 7/4. It was evident that the management truly cares about the guests' experience. On 7/3 when it was cloudy and rainy, management heated the pool up to 90 degrees to ensure guests could enjoy the outside and allowed me to use the sauna (I believe the spa will be opening within the next few months). On 7/4 there was a complementary barbecue for hotel guests during the evening hosted by management with a view of the fireworks. The management team I interacted with were friendly and genuinely passionate about making sure I had a great time and making the hotel a success. And all hotel staff were polite and friendly as well.
