We were quite disappointed with our 2-night stay at Hyatt Place Long Island City. Though the room itself was clean and spacious we had to spend a night in a freezing room because the heat wasn't working. Would have expected this to be on someone's checklist when getting the room ready for us. This was a sub-zero degree night and so this was especially hard travelling with children. Upon notifying the front desk of this the next morning, they seemed non-nonchalant about it and offered to have a mechanic take a look and move us if the issue could not be addressed. This whole inconvenience was made worse by the fact that we were offered no empathy or apology for the situation we were in. I would think this would be hospitality 101 but sadly that wasn't the case.

We chose this as it was close to my family's home. It was great and well situated and another hotel had closed up. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The cleaning crew freshened up the room when we would lewve for the day. Great place to stay and will hopefully stay there again in the future.

Excelente hotel . Buenisima ubicacion. Fácil de llegar al JFK y a Manhattan. Varios terminales de trenes cerca. Excelente desayuno. Lo único que se llena y no hay mucho espacio para comer pero aún así todo de este hotel fue excelente. He estado en varias hospederías en Manhattan y Long Island y esta ha sido mi favorita !
