Needed a one night stay for a convention. This hotel had one of the more reasonable prices. Easy access to subway, walking distance from theater district. Comfortable room, clean. Staff was very friendly, upgraded us to a room with two beds for free, with complementary wifi. Very pleased.

Good hotel for a short stay. Recepction area big enough but people had a bored attitude. They did not clean my room one day and after calling for help, cleaning people were very rude. The lobby area and bar alwayd feels crowded. Needs a makeover

Nice hotel good location clean rooms and very welcoming

Horrible, check in staff was rude and I was woken up by the smell of marijuana smoke in the hallway. Had housekeeping knock on my door at 9 am to tell me about my checkout time.

Didnt like this hotel. Not reccomende. Staff is rude. Location is okay.

I know it is New York, and we are all expected to just fork out the cash. But for what they charge for this place they should do a better job on maintenance.

After a busy day... all you need is a place to sleep if you get in at 11:00pm. Easy walk from grand central station. Bar opens at noon. Two bags for holding as we arrived early is 2$... then another 2$ when you get them back. Lots of hot water and water pressure for bath/shower. No refrigerator in room. No ice machine on 8th floor. Late check out is great for the sleep in... give yourself time to catch taxi if you have an appointment.

Three rooms in two days. Staff non responsive. Rooms had MOLD and we're not clean.

Stayed here for an extended NYC weekend and thought the hotel was well worth the price. Great comfortable bed, conveniently located close to a subway station, and within reasonable walking distance of Times Square and Grand Central Station. Standard rooms are relatively small, especially the bathrooms, but it was all clean, functional and worked for us. Would definitely consider staying here again.

This is a very busy hotel. But even with all the activity the staff was able to take care of business and get people checked in efficiently. I arrived at about 12:30 in the afternoon and my room wasn't ready. I was early for check in so I wasn't surprised. I was told they would put a rush on getting me my room and within an hour it was ready. The room was on the Hilton Honors floor (16th floor, south east side of the building) and was clean if a bit smaller than I'm used to. I was staying alone so it didn't have to be spacious (single queen size bed). There wasn't much of a view from the window except for the rooftop of a building being renovated. It looked like a scene from from a movie; I expected Daredevil to run across at any second! The room was very quiet with no traffic noise. The staff was very helpful with information about the area. No, they weren't the most cheery or happiest of people but they did their jobs and did it well. The room was always clean for my 3 night visit. The staff was always attentive to my needs and I enjoyed my stay. The hotel location is right in the heart of Midtown and easy walking distance from major attractions; Grand Central, Empire State, Times Square, Ed Sullivan Theater, Radio City. I was traveling for business so I only had a half day to take a quick walk around. Be ready to walk. It's the most efficient way to see everything. As for the Double Tree, I would stay again the next time I visit.

We stayed there for three nights and rooms are very clean. Good location, easy to get to other places. Wish they can provide free wifi.

The hote is in a good location. Close to time square, and easy to explore the city. There's a train station directly across the street. Only downside to the hotel is the fire department right across the street from the hotel. It can be a bit noisy. Other than that, no big complaints. I would stay here again.

Hotel at excellent location in midtown and right off metro stop. We were able to walk to many places from the hotel. I reserve a queen bed and was given a double which isn't that big of a deal but probably shouldn't have been missed. The room was relatively nice and clean. We were woken up by people running up and down the hall at 2am screaming, slamming doors, and obviously drunk. This continue to 4:20am. The walls are paper thin as well as the doors so do not expect to have a quiet night. Of course you can't impact the other guests behavior but for it to continue this long and the fact that you could hear every word clearly tells you a little about the sound proofing in the room. The people at the front desk were also slightly rude when I asked them about using my loyalty card and later for a receipt. I was explained that since I booked on Expedia, I couldn't do either. If that's the case then fine, no big deal but the manner they said it was rude. I stayed in hotels for close to 100 nights last year for work an can say this was the worst overall experience I had.

Our experience at this hotel was very good . I would definitely stay again .

I went to visit my sister for her birthday and stayed there, close to the subway station and at a great place

Overall good value, great location! The only issue is lack of room service. The one restaurant was okay for breakfast. Appreciate NY is not lacking for other food options so may no be an issue for you.

The hotel is located in a prime location--near the trains and offices. Very safe and nice area. I stayed to be close to work early. I requested a quiet room at check-in. My request was accommodated, and I was very happy. The hotel seems quiet, and based on my observation guests tend to be upscale. Would definitely stay again.

I read positive reviews on the Double tree Hilton Metropolitan. I am so happy this is the hotel I booked. We stayed one night to sight see in the city. The warm chocolate chip cookie was a yummy treat upon arrival. I also thought this hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to many sights and shopping. The subway is directly across the street! The Metro Cafe is next door and open late friendly staff great for late food and drink.

Great stay in a great location. Will definitely recommend.
