Great expirience..very clean rooms..great friendly and helpful staff..specially jose in helping with our luggage n valet parking simply the best! i highly recommend this hotel..great area too..44 and 8th ave...love it there!!!

Everything was great. I don't like that the guys outside push the more expensive Suburban rides. Feels a little cheesy as they admitted to getting kickbacks from them

It was a great experience staying in this hotel. Room is spacious and very clean with free wifi. What's more important for us is the close-by parking with reasonable price. I'll go back!

I spent a week at the hotel. Every interaction with the staff was very pleasant, and my room was very comfortable. During my stay I had the opportunity to interact with front desk, housekeeping, concierge, room service, bar tender, and bellman. All were perfect friendly professionals. I'm not sure there is a better location. The subway station is next to the hotel, and there is an endless choice of restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. Pay extra for a room with a "view". I loved my view of the Hudson River, looking north, on a higher level floor.

We picked this hotel because the website said it had a fridge. Well guess what! we couldn't use it because it was full of $6 sodas and $20 liquor that was rigged with sensors that is would charge us if we so much as picked them up. There is only a small 2x6 sign that let you know this info and if you missed it, oh well, sucks for you! It's already added to your hotel bill. There is also a small accessory tray with condoms, candy and cell phone accessory kit that is also rigged to charge u after u pick something up for longer than 10 sec. The view isn't great unless you like watching the people in the next building work on computers or watch little girls dance in the dance studio below that. There are some soap scum issues on the glass shower door and some water damage spots on the ceiling. Other than that it's a decent size room that looks nice on the surface and it's really close to time square and Broadway hotspots. Also, the guy that checked us in was kind of pretentious, well, not kind of. He WAS pretentious. On a side note, the bell hops were always nice and helpful and seem to care about the quality of our stay. one night we called down to the front desk to ask for 2 spoons and were told it would be a $7 charge because technically that's room service. Um, let me think... $7 bucks to rent 2 spoons or go out the front door of the hotel and walk to the corner and get 2 free plastic spoons from one of the hundreds of halal food carts on the street. ridiculous!

Great service and the location was perfect for seeing a Broadway show. Right next to a subway stop. Couldn't have asked for a better location

I enjoy staying at this hotel with the exception of the horrible stench that greets you the minute you step outside the front doors. The rooms are comfortable (especially after you set the thermostat to your liking). The elevators are clean and fast.

great service overall appearance close to theatres, shopping

They dont have any spare anything like that in the hotel. Thats the only minus.

I could not have asked for anymore from the Intercontinental. The room was top notch and very spacious by NYC standards. I loved it.

unkind front desk staff!!!!!!!!!!! unkind front desk staff!!!!!!!!!!! unkind front desk staff!!!!!!!!!!!

Over the years I've had to take many trips to NY, I like staying in the Times Square area. Almost all the three and four star hotels are similar. The amenities are configurations of the rooms. So what it comes down to is simply location and possible view.

Spent a single night in NYC meeting friends to enjoy a Broadway show a dinner. Front desk personnel were especially friendly and efficient. Check in process was swift and efficient. Baggage arrived in our room minutes after we did. After arriving back home...received a phone call informing us that we had left two umbrellas in the room and confirmed our home address so that they could mail them back to us.

Great location, close to time square. Valet parking is overpriced, but can park next door for half price. Didn't have good experience with some of the hotel's employees. Unprofessional and disrespectful. For some reason sent cake in my room with a happy birthday inscription when it was not my birthday.

Last minute booking for Valentine' s Day. Location was perfect . Service was lovely. Rooms were elegant very clean . Bar very nice. Just off 8th so less bustle than normal.. Check In was a breeze . Will stay here again

Good location, near Central Park, Time Square. Shopping, good restaurants are just around the corner.

The location was perfect, it was well worth it. The room was really nice. Thank you.

Always stay at this hotel. It's at right by times square, which may or may not be the best location, depending on what you are planning on doing in NYC. Rooms are always clean and nice, staff is friendly. Try the steak and frites in the restaurant downstairs.

The hotel is located right on Times Square which you can view out the window if you are lucky! No, the noise and lights do not seep in so even if you are bombarded by numerous groups rushing towards the square around the hotel, you do have peace and quiet in your room. I stayed here when on a business trip and quite enjoyed my stay. The room/bathroom was large and very convenient. The fitness center seemed well equipped though I only used the pool during my stay. If you're in NYC as a tourist or have a reason to be this close to Times Square I'd definitely recommend this Intercontinental.

pleasant staff, nice spacious room and great location
