Location, location, location.. enough said.. Perfect for walking to Broadway shows, dining and bus station, subway..

The guy at the door was very helpful with my luggage and very pleasant. The guy checking me in rattled off instructions so quickly and without emotion and he was as unwelcoming as a person can by. I found that terribly unpleasant. When I got to my room, it was clean but there were strings all over the floor and the wall, towards the ceiling, near the vent was COVERED in dust, but to be fair to the housekeepers, I am terribly OCD when it comes to cleaning. The room was okay, nothing special and nothing for you to be impressed by. We ordered room service the first night, not much of a selection but, we just needed to eat. The person taking our order was rushing us and was quite snippish. When our food was delivered, the guy who delivered the food was very nice and polite. My burger was supposed to be medium but it was so raw that it seemed as if it were still alive and it would eat my lettuce. No flavor at all. The doormen, the guys storing your luggage, and the guy helping you with transport and luggage were ALWAYS cheerful, nice, welcoming. They were my favorite! The guy checking us out was nice, too. The bar is nice. They have an awesome drink called the Jetsetter...that drink is a must!!! If you get one, watch them make it because at the end, they spritz it with Earl Grey tea.

Everything was okay except for the fact that we were charged for receiving some packages, even when we had called in advanced and were not informed that there was going to be charges. One of the guys at the reception desk was rude when we were checking out, we asked him what were those charges for and the answer from him was as follow w "what do you expect, for the phone call to also be free?", not a professional answer since as a guest, we have all the right to ask for what we are being charged for. At the end, we ended it up paying for receiving those packages.

The price and location of this hotel was amazing. Right next to the 42nd street-broadway subway stop, just a few minutes from Times Square and a few minutes from Central Park. The rooms were great and our view was amazing! So nice to be able to leave your bags with the hotel staff and enjoy the city while they are getting a room ready for you or while you are waiting to depart.

Overall experience was excellent. Location is great for seeing Broadway shows. We walked to Central Park, Fifth Avenue, and all shows. Staff was very responsive to all requests. Stinger Bar was great place for a pre-show cocktail.

Orbitz has this hotel listed as a 5 Star establishment, and it's not even close in my opinion. Our room was tiny and had absolutely no view. Hotel didn't offer free wi-fi which is absurd this day in age. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful which made the other issues seem not so bad. Hotel restaurant/bar, Stinger, was nice and the food was good. Would only stay here again if all the nicer hotels were booked.

La habitación y el pasillo olían a aceite cocinado y la limpieza de las alfombras terrible

The hotel overall experience is wonderful. Had a 5 nights stay at intercontinental. The lobby is luxurious looking and the bellboy is friendly. The location is great. It is next to subway entry and exit. Plenty of restaurant nearby as well

I can't find anything that was negative about our stay. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Great expirience..very clean rooms..great friendly and helpful staff..specially jose in helping with our luggage n valet parking simply the best! i highly recommend this hotel..great area too..44 and 8th ave...love it there!!!

Everything was great. I don't like that the guys outside push the more expensive Suburban rides. Feels a little cheesy as they admitted to getting kickbacks from them

It was a great experience staying in this hotel. Room is spacious and very clean with free wifi. What's more important for us is the close-by parking with reasonable price. I'll go back!

I spent a week at the hotel. Every interaction with the staff was very pleasant, and my room was very comfortable. During my stay I had the opportunity to interact with front desk, housekeeping, concierge, room service, bar tender, and bellman. All were perfect friendly professionals. I'm not sure there is a better location. The subway station is next to the hotel, and there is an endless choice of restaurants and entertainment within walking distance. Pay extra for a room with a "view". I loved my view of the Hudson River, looking north, on a higher level floor.

We picked this hotel because the website said it had a fridge. Well guess what! we couldn't use it because it was full of $6 sodas and $20 liquor that was rigged with sensors that is would charge us if we so much as picked them up. There is only a small 2x6 sign that let you know this info and if you missed it, oh well, sucks for you! It's already added to your hotel bill. There is also a small accessory tray with condoms, candy and cell phone accessory kit that is also rigged to charge u after u pick something up for longer than 10 sec. The view isn't great unless you like watching the people in the next building work on computers or watch little girls dance in the dance studio below that. There are some soap scum issues on the glass shower door and some water damage spots on the ceiling. Other than that it's a decent size room that looks nice on the surface and it's really close to time square and Broadway hotspots. Also, the guy that checked us in was kind of pretentious, well, not kind of. He WAS pretentious. On a side note, the bell hops were always nice and helpful and seem to care about the quality of our stay. one night we called down to the front desk to ask for 2 spoons and were told it would be a $7 charge because technically that's room service. Um, let me think... $7 bucks to rent 2 spoons or go out the front door of the hotel and walk to the corner and get 2 free plastic spoons from one of the hundreds of halal food carts on the street. ridiculous!

Great service and the location was perfect for seeing a Broadway show. Right next to a subway stop. Couldn't have asked for a better location

I enjoy staying at this hotel with the exception of the horrible stench that greets you the minute you step outside the front doors. The rooms are comfortable (especially after you set the thermostat to your liking). The elevators are clean and fast.

great service overall appearance close to theatres, shopping

They dont have any spare anything like that in the hotel. Thats the only minus.

I could not have asked for anymore from the Intercontinental. The room was top notch and very spacious by NYC standards. I loved it.

unkind front desk staff!!!!!!!!!!! unkind front desk staff!!!!!!!!!!! unkind front desk staff!!!!!!!!!!!
