I really liked the design of the building, especially the lobby in which it made me feel like I was in a boat in the 1800s.

The staff was incredible and the design was unique and fun.

Staff: Most of the staff were great. Besides one individual the doormen were awesome and the desk staff was quite good. For example, when I first arrived a doorman was there to quickly bring my luggage to my room. Additionally, I was impressed that one of the receptionist was able to remember my room number from days ago and quickly give me my mail upon me asking. Internet: One of the main reasons, the hotel loses a lot of points is because the internet was just absolutely awful. It was ridiculously slow and I had to work outside of the hotel to get anything done. Quality of Room: Room was cramped and in a very loud area. The toilet was in a very small area, so much so you could barely lift up the toilet seat without it being at an angle. Also, on most nights it will be very loud due to the street traffic. The bed was not the most comfortable and having stayed in the Dream New York right next door, I can say that the Dream has higher quality rooms for a lower price. However, the staff at the Maritime were overall better and more friendly.

Great hotel conveniently located to shopping, great food and walking.

Cool place Great attitude Good location This review requirement of 50 characters by orbitz stinks though

Got a great advance rate in a great neighborhood, near subways and everything else. Staff and general atmosphere of the place was top notch. They care about the little details.

Friendly staff. Fun atmosphere. Nice Breakfast. Great location.

Hotel was cozy and warm. The lobby feels like a library - quiet and surrounded by books on the shelves. There is a business center (room big enough for a meeting for 2 people). The room was comfortable, quiet, and clean.

The hotel is in a great location and was very clean. Hotel staff were extremely polite and attentive. My only complaint was the bed and pillows were not comfortable, but that is my personal preference. Cleanliness is more important and the room was spotless. The complimentary breakfast was a nice plus as well!

The experience was ok.. I do believe the hotel was over priced but that is to be expected when booking in downtown nyc I guess.

Enjoyed the cozy nautical theme. Rooms were exceptional and the lobby very comfortable. Restaurant next door was accommodating while sitting in the lobby’s having drinks and appetizers. The corner of 9th and 16th is extremely loud with taxis using horns all night long. Tao and other clubs along 16th make it noisy. The hotel provides ear plugs in the room! Other than that, highly recommend!!

Windows in every room. Great service. Our favorite location in Meat Packing district with Chelsea Market and Highline right across the street. This will be our new go-to.

The Maritime is a great hotel. It's reasonably priced for NYC, conveniently located and comfortable. I thought it was extremely quiet compared to other NYC hotels I've stayed in. There are numerous great restaurants in the immediate vicinity as well as the Chelsea Market. I would recommend The Maritime and will plan to stay there again on my next trip to NYC.
