So it started bad. The room i originally had was very small and very dated.. They went above and beyond to correct it. I upgraded for a little more money and went to the 38th floor! We got the best room in the hotel! 3808! We had a balcony the we could see Central Park AND One WTC! It made Al the difference in our trip. This is an old school property. Know that going in. But the staff was amazing.

Our stay itself was lovely, people were helpful and great location, however a deposit was taken at the start of the stay and was promised to be returned if no charges on the room when leaving. No charges were applicable and were told the payment would be returned, however this charge then appeared again. After multiple messages, emails and international call, Finally received 1 of the payment amounts back but still disputing the 2nd still. The hotel was great, however afterservice and communication needs considerable improvement and an apology would have welcomed.

The location was great and walkable to most of the attractions we had on our list of places to see. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, small but manageable. Bathroom could use some additional shelving to keep toiletries nearby. Nice bar, drinks were good and food was delicious. Overall, a good stay.

The lobby was beautiful, the check in staff were super nice, and the luggage check man was super nice. Everyone else we talked to seemed annoyed to work there. The room and hallways are run down, the bathrooms are old with mold along the floor. No counter space in bathroom. The faucet and shower dripped consistently.

While not the most modern rooms in town, there was so much old New York charm to this hotel from the Art Deco fixtures in the lobby to the charming Tik Tok diner so convenient for a meal anytime of day! In the center of everything. One block from train station. Traveling with an elderly person to and from the Amtrak station was so easy! Plus, they allowed me to check in before 4pm. The double room was large by New York standards, had great beds a small seating area and a bathtub!! The view from the room was amazing.
