Nice place. Love the attached cafe that is open 24/7 and the coffee shop in lobby.

Very nice Hotel, great location, friendly staff, good views!

Very happy, great place, its my second time in the hotel.

Close to all transport in NYC. Clean but older hotel, nice architecture.

The convenience of being so close to the Big Ten Tournament venue was a treat. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Cable tv in room did not work on second night. Both printers in the Business Center were broken so had to have reception staff print my boarding pass.

This hotel is one block from Penn Station (easy walking distance!), and has a 24 hour diner (good breakfast) and two restaurants. If you don't want anything super trendy, or think you might want to eat at a location in which you can just walk in and eat, this is the place for you. Trattoria Bianca had a great Crab Cake appetizer and Lemon Sorbet dessert. Hotel bathrooms were old and small (green tiles). I stayed in a room with 2 double beds. The room was much smaller than the pictures, but perfect for what we needed. Pillows were super comfortable as well. If you want a reasonably priced accommodation in New York, I recommend this hotel! Also, fun fact, Nicola Tesla lived at the hotel for a long time before his death, and the two rooms (bedroom and study) that he occupied are still available for normal guests. They are on the 33rd floor and have signage to denote those were his rooms.

Good location, room was very small and thin walls. There was a very loud argument going on in a nearby room very late. Clean which is very important.

Amazing ! You would a hotel of this age to be run down. But this place is in amazing condition. Plenty of elevators never had to wait for one. Extra staff on hand at all times very clean. Got a nice upgrade and a large room with a view

I love the location stuff also nice close to time square

Purposely chose the New Yorker for its history and location. Love the art deco styling and commitment to keep it that way. Super clean room and friendly staff. Only complaint was that the water in the shower would go from crazy hot to crazy cold without warning but it was in the middle of January so assume everyone was using hot water. Will totally go back again. :)

Have stayed at The New Yorker many times and this was the smallest room I have encountered. Adequate for one person but certainly too tight for two. And we had "upgraded" to the Metro View thinking we'd have more room, but alas no. I will stay with them again because of their convenient location. Having the TickTock Diner attached is also a plus, especially this year during the Grayson storm/blizzard. Perhaps getting a room with two beds is the trick to having more overall square footage. I will remember that for future references. After checking in and leaving the same type of review I was contacted by management, but since we were already unpacked, we chose just to make the best of the situation. We aren't your usual complainers so just tried to make the best of the "small" space.

terrible...........................................................................................................................................very bad experience. Lose window frame, dirty, old mattress, AC malfunction......avoid this hotel

From the moment I checked in, I felt welcome. The concierge that assisted me was friendly, helpful and very professional. She was so sweet that made me feel special when she found out I was in New York for my birthday and to top it all off she surprised me with sending a complimentary bottle of wine to my room for me to celebrate. My stay was amazing, the location great!!! close to everything. Every staff cared about the safety of the customers before entering the elevators. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friend. I rate it 10. Thank you to all the staff. And an special thanks to the wonderful concierge. Happy Holidays.

The staff was very friendly and checked us in quickly. Room was ready and clean. Very thin walls, so you could hear everything that was going on in the adjacent rooms and outside in the hall

I have stayed here a few times but probably not any more. The rooms are nice enough and clean, but the bathrooms are tiny and look like still in the 1920’s. Water heater issues so bad that when you take a shower it is alternatively scalding or freezing every few seconds. Not a great way to start or end the day.

The New Yorker was very close to the activities we were visiting. The staff was helpful and answered all questions. The diner was very good. The hotel is older, so of course there were some issues with the plumbing. Our room was quiet, the cleaning staff was wonderful. We felt very safe at all times.

First, our reserved queen view room was not available and my wife and I had to sleep in separate beds in a shabby double on the first night of a romantic long weekend. Second, the replacement room was far below Wyndham standards. The bathroom should have been gutted. Old nasty tub and leaking bath fixtures. Third, we had purchased a late check out and full breakfast option via their pop up text marketing teasers. These never showed up on our reservations despite me asking twice at check in and upon being switched to the correct room the following day. No one could answer where these additional service should show up. Fourth, After confirming a late check out the last day, we were locked out of our room by the deactivated room key and had another 20 minute hassle to get our bags out as our group waited to leave. All in all, I would not stay here again, whcih is a shame as this could be a lovely property.

Walkable to Javits Center, Theatre District, Times Square. On top of Subway. In the heart of the city!! Great staff. Quiet rooms. There are no negatives to the New Yorker and Wyndham is doing a nice job sprucing things up. You cannot make an old building new. Wyndham is playing to the strengths of this property. Great place to enjoy the city.

Great location. Hotel is old and very small rooms.
