Great Hotel. Was able to store my bag before checking in so I didn't have to lug it around the city with me

The check in staff has horrible customer service . They dnt look like they are happy with their job. The elevators are super slow. The housekeepers slam the doors very loud when they are cleaning. Also they opened my door while I was in bed before I even checked out without my permisson . I felt springs in the bed. The lise goes on . This hotel is cheap for a reason

Hotel is literally in Times Square but there are bad things about it. Hotel relooks old and fake nice. The rooms are tiny and not very clean. The first room they put us in still had toothpaste in the sink and other people's socks by the radiator. When we first got there, the radiator only blew out cold air so they switched us to another room. The next room was dirty and smelled weird so they upgraded is to a bigger room with more beds and it was LESS smelly and dirty. Even though it was wayyy better, there still could have been some improvements. Loved the wallpaper though. It had the names and addresses of popular tourists spots around New York.

When I booked the room it was described as having self park for $45 per day or valet park for $55 per day. This was confirmed over the phone the day before arrival. When I arrived one hour before check in I was turned away at the parking garage as having no room. The next garage had room but cost $70 per day. I decided that I may as well go back to the hotel and accept the valet parking. They told me we don't valet park anymore. An hour and a half later I had to settle for the $70 per day garage. They wanted to charge me $85 and said that they did not promise $70. This bothered me through out my stay and I discussed it with the manager at check out. He was very nice and was sorry it all worked out that way. He explained that they have no control over the paring garage. He split the cost with me and refunded $35. He really did not have to do that but it certainly made me feel better. Very nice man.

Excellent Hotel, Great staff, Great location.been staying there for over 10 yrs, since it was a Best Wester, Tryp By Windham and now The Gallivant.

Always treated well here. Great location to Broadway shows and midtown sites.

Good location and great food spots nearbye. The rooms are a little small but hey it's New York!

Just like I image it would be beautiful light and good food on every corner.

the oom was uper smail and billing did not charge me correctly. No one wants take the blame n even Orbitz.

I'm a female business traveler. I was disappointed that the bathroom sink had no ledge. There was no room to put my toiletries to get ready in the morning. It was very cramped in the bathroom and the half shower wall design caused massive amounts of water to spill out onto the floor. The bathroom was also dark and I had trouble seeing in the mirror to put on my makeup. Additionally, the bed was either very old or very cheap and worn out. There were significant body impressions on both sides and it felt like sleeping in a swell. New mattresses are definitely needed. The dust ruffle was also filthy and the room was on the small side. There was no desk either. I've stayed in better places in NY for the same amount of money.

Tiny room, but perfectly adequate. A table would've been nice for eating snacks and using laptop, but there is no room for one. My only complaint is the add-on $15/day charge called an "urban fee". They said it was for the "business center" and "fitness center" and wi-fi (which is advertised as free). There's no mention of the business or fitness centers when you check in, and they are nowhere to be seen. Apparently they call the computer on a table in the lobby the business center. So whether you use it or not, they take $15/day extra. I never saw a fitness center. It was not on the one page of hotel info they provide at check-in. It's a great little hotel in a prime location, but that "urban fee" left a bad impression. Just be honest and put it in the cost of the room! Otherwise, it feels like a scam that you're hit with as you checkout.

Very nice and helpful staff, central place, close everywhere

Just a block away from most of the NYC attraction. Love the location and the staffs were very helpful. I will visit them again.

great hotel and location..stay there and you won't regret it..

I stayed there for work last week. Location for tourists is excellent. The room was tiny. The shower was very small- when I ran it, the bathroom floor got wet. The bed was a full, I think. Comfy but small. The floor coverings were attractive, but no carpeting. Temperature regulation in the room was an old window unit. The hotel hallways were dirty. Laundry bins seemed permanently perched in the hallway. Housekeeping was oblivious to customers. In the morning there was a line at the bell stand to drop bags, causing me to wait 10+ minutes to drop. In the afternoon, no one was at the bells rand to pick up. I had to wait again. Certainly nicer than some places in Manhatten, but not 4 stars.

great value, location was perfect. Was within walking distance to broadway, every major theatre, Times Square, and countless restaurants. Did not use a cab the whole weekend in NYC since location was perfect! Room was small but clean and tastefully decorated. Perhaps wasn't as soundproof as I'd have hoped for, but then again, we were sleeping in late after being out late, so was fair enough others were up at a reasonable time. overall, great stay, would come again

the Rooms are like a cage in which you can barely even walk freely. the view is almost nothing as if you are living in a cage. TV does not even work and there is no valet parking offered. In my opinion rather pay few bucks more and enjoy the stay somewhere else

Clean and convenient. Contemporary styling. Overall it's a solid choice although my room was very small.

Great location and the staff was very friendly. Still in the process of remodel so I'm sure things will continue to look better as they finish this process. The WiFi was hit and miss at times but that is my only complaint.

Our room was so small. The first night we got no sleep. The air conditioner sounded like we had a helicopter in our room. Went down to hotel clerk at six am and told him. He apologized and put us in another room. This was much better and quieter.
