The property was in poor condition. AC/heat did not work. They had to put a small heater in ther room. ,,( Winter time). I would not stay there again.

Tried 3 different rooms hoping to find something close to the pictures. Room 1 - holes in the wall from a recent heater replacement left unpatched. Room 2 - no thermostat at all, just an empty casing where it once lived, a rickety window unit AC (in November) thats accordion wings rattled in the wind. In addition there was peeling paint falling down on the ceiling, dirty, chipped and dinged up walls, suspiciously stained desk chair (had to put a towel down) and very dated/damaged furniture. In the bathroom the ceiling vent was COVERED with a sweater worth of dust, the shower handle fell off when turning it on, the grout was either missing or moldy, and the toilet was stained. I stayed in room 2 because room 3 was across from a mechanical closet with a constant alarm going off, and no better state. I did attempt to abandon my reservation and move hotels but ultimately stayed put due to the hour and high prices for last minute booking. The rest of the hotel is about the same. The rugs through the hallways are stained/bleached/torn up. The elevators are small and VERY slow which gave guests time to commiserate over the state of their lodgings. Every ride I took someone brought up the poor state of their room unprompted by me. The pluses: the staff are warm and accommodating (it's not their fault, and they try!), the bed was clean and comfy, and the location is great. Just know you are getting what you paid for and go in with clear expectations. This is a place to sleep.

Staff were nice. Room had paint falling off walls and no amenities. Was a room for two but no mini fridge, only one small trash can in the bathroom, no water provided, shower had only half all glass door by design so water spilled out on the floor, all see through so no privacy, dirty blinds, elevator stopped at every floor (15) going up and down even with no passengers, so sometimes 10 minutes on the elevator, tiny closet, only one dresser and no food of any kind offered, coffee machine but inadequate number of cups and no spoons or creamer. Overall a very uncomfortable experience.

The Gallivant's room was pretty bad paint chipping and light fixture where brokenn and it was in bad shape. I wouldn't let an animal sleep in a run down place like that

It a nice enough hotel, friendly staff. The room are a touch smaller as they dont have rhe desk that many do. But the beds are fine, bathroom and shower good, drawers and closet. Only drawback is the elevators. One or the other is constantly on the fritz though thry said the overhaul would be done soon. Great location withnrestauranta close.

This place is kind of a dump but if you want a cheap place near Times Square, but not all that cheap, it's not bad. Just not very well maintained. A little bit of attention to fixing some things that were kind of dirty/nasty would have gone a long way. There was just one ice machine and it broke while there. The other ice machines had not been operational for a long time. Great location close to Times Square, but that's about it. Ask for a low floor because elevators were very difficult to operate.

I will be very honest. This might have been the biggest disappointment in 50+ years of hotels. Sheets dirty. Soap dispenser not working. Day flies or whatever those insects are called flying out of the toilet when I opened the lid. Noise so loud that only the white noise from air condition helped. Then when I complained to the manager he offered me a smaller room. Sure, he changed the sheets and sent up a bottle of soap. But my God! And the elevator is almost certainly the worst in town. Expect a 5-10 minute wait. Just a terrible experience even for a 3-star property (oh, I paid over $300 per night).

The hotel wasn’t bad at all but we had to get new room keys daily because they stopped working.. the elevator situation sucks, and the air conditioning was bad and they broke off the switch to change from AC to heat and I had to use a straw to turn my AC on because they had the heat on in the summer.. the bathroom also smelled funny I assume it’s an issue with the pipes idk.. I will say housekeeping was lovely and always wanted to clean our rooms even when we said it was fine and they would just replace our towels

I only stayed here one night and chose it because it’s close to the Manhattan cruise terminal. I was not impressed with this hotel, though. I paid $50 for the early check-in, but found my room was not fully cleaned. I didn’t have any hand soap or body wash in my room, and ended up using shampoo for everything. At night, the ice maker in the hallway was malfunctioning and beeping for hours. I had to call twice to the front desk before they sent someone to unplug it. The elevators kept malfunctioning and the hotel had a strong “burnt plastic” smell. Lastly, the room had no thermostat and was freezing. It got the job done for a single night, but I would not stay here again.
