When I stayed there a few years ago I thought that it was clean and well maintained, but the management has really let it go. The paint on the floorboards in the hallway and on the elevator door was chipped and the paint was peeling in the bathroom. Also, the furniture in the lobby was worn and dirty. I also was surprised when i was charged a facility fee at check in because I thought I had already paid for the room in full. I think that this is a deceptive practice and Orbitz should require hotels to state the entire cost of the room up front.

We specifically requested a queens bed (as per the options) and were given a room with a bed smaller than a double, the lampshade was ripped, marks all over the wall, door was chipped, and 0 walking space - after talking to staff we were moved to a different room ( but only the next day) with more space but still had issues with chipped walls and doors and unclean grout in the bathroom, and the small bed. Wouldn’t recommend. The room did not match the pictures- and didn’t match the ‘newly refurbished’ description on the website- only the foyer did

The only good part of our stay were the bellman and housekeeping team. The building is run down and dirty, and the amenities are non-existent. We got a larger room but it was completely empty and bare — not even a closet. Looks nothing like the photos, and the hallway and elevator were extremely dirty/run down. The elevator was also tiny and took an extremely long time to operate and call.

The room we had was a king, AND there was not even a chair to sit on.. The room we had should not have a king size bed in it… over all it was clean and kept up daily.. there was not even a coffee maker of any type in our room….. or free coffee in the lobby.. we would not book a room here again…. I guess the price was right!!!!! and the location was good to Times Square ….

It was a wonderful time in New York- the hotel was close to everything;however, the highlight of the stay at the hotel was “Maria” front reception staff. She was full of love, concern and was over the top accommodating. Sure is great when you are away from home- when you walk into the lobby and “Maria” makes it feel like home❤️❤️

Very basic

The staff were friendly, but this hotel is very tired and there is little comfort in the rooms. Mine was clean enough (although dusty) but a colleague got a terrible room. Only in New York could they charge this for such a basic room. Location is lively but easy enough to get all over Manhattan from.

Room 901. Door was LOUDLY grating. Hot water issues during our stay. Bed(s) were squeeky with even with the slightest movement. Previous guests left a full drawer of clothes that housekeeping did'nt bother to clear/remove.

The front desk in the morning were very welcoming and helpful. The location of the hotel is great. It is near Times Square. However, the bathroom was way too small. I would prefer a coffee station in the front lobby. The elevators were too slow.
