I've stayed in a lot of hotels in NYC. The room was way bigger than I expected, nicely decorated, and the bed was comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. Also, hotel is in a great spot to communte easily on subway or car. It's definitely a nicer, newer hotel.

Customer service was awesome, especially the guys in concierge. Room was a bit small (welcome to NY) but very clean. Hotel was within about a mile or less to attractions such as Central Park, Madison Ave shopping and Times Square - me, my wife and toddler son had no problems walking anywhere. We enjoyed.

Amazing stay, beautiful room. Loved the attention to detail regarding decor throughout entire hotel. Hotel staff is top notch. In a convenient location for catching a Broadway show!

The hotel met our expectations. Everything was good.

Nice location, great hotel one of the better ones in nyc. I loved it!

Great location, but the hotel was a bit tired and in need of updating/renovation. Decent price, though with a little bit of work, you could surely find a nicer boutique hotel at or near the same price.

Friendly customer service throughout my stay. In town for business, and some light exploring. Walking distance to main attractions. I would stay here again.

When I made the reservation I was told the hotel did not offer room service or mini bars since the hotel was closing for renovation at the end of August. However, they failed to mention that the hotel also did not have in-room entertainment. The hotel its self is in an ok location, and the lobby is stunning. However, the rest of the hotel was a total disappointment. The hotel rooms were what I would expect from a two-star motel. I was so disappointed. That being said, I will try the hotel after renovations and see if it rises up to the standard that their name usual conveys

This was our first stay at the Barclay and I booked it rather late so was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was for the price. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and it was quiet. The TV, shower, etc. were all up-to-date and worked well. No long waits for elevators, and staff were helpful and friendly when asked. The city maps available at the concierge desk made navigating city transportation a breeze. I would definitely return.

We heard the couple next door going at it all night. We thought that for $300 a night we'd have better sound proofing but no.

Beautiful hotel with spacious room, but the bathroom is a bit small- but it was built in 1926! The location was close to the family we visited but also close to Grand Central Station, 30 Rock and the American Girl Store. Room service was 24 hour and breakfast buffet was open at convenient time.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Barclay at mid town east. It was close to Times Square and we walked to Central Park, Rockefeller Center, the theater district, shopping on 5th avenue. The staff was helpful with suggestions on restaurants. We would stay here again.

Hotel's check in time is at 3 pm. I arrived for check in after 3 pm and the receptionist informed me that i was on a "waiting list" for check in. She asked me for my tel # and informed that she will call me when a room was available. Upon inquiry, she stated that since the housekeeping was falling behind, my room was "not ready". To add to that, she could not give me any time frame when my room will be ready. I waited for almost an hour in the hotel lobby without any courtesy shown by the hotel authorities for their inefficiency. I had to re-approach another receptionist who finally got me a room. It was a very unpleasant experience, considering the fact that in spite of charging top dollars for my room and after a tiring trip, I was kept waiting in the lobby. The hotel staff were very inefficient and did not show any courtesy to correct their lack of professionalism. I will not recommend this hotel.

Very classy and clean NYC location! Just a walk, cab ride or subway trip away from everything!

You could not ask for a better NYC location, the service was impeccable, the room was lovely, and breakfast was a delight. Faboulous experience. I was visiting friends and taking a class at NYU (great combination) Strongly recommend, great price

Nice room with good amenities, the toilet was awkwardly placed in the bathroom however, kind of wedged between the sink and the door. Walls were a little thin, I heard way too much going on in the room next door. I got a weird cut on my hand from something poking out of the mattress topper! But all in all I'd stay there again.

Great location close to Grand Central Station and subways, walk to 5th Ave, cozy diners within 2 blocks, Starbucks across the street, the Concierge Domenic is the go to guy, other staff also very professional an courteous. There is no vending machine, but gift shop is open until 11pm. Bad: I woke up with back pain every morning for a week because the mattress was too worn out. It sinks in the middle and leans to the left. The doormen sure can whistle for taxi because I hear them loud an clear from 10 floors up and from 7am to 11pm. We got free wifi internet for being IHG members. Print boarding pass for free at the business center downstairs. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.

I loved this hotel the locations was fantastic when you walk inside you can certainly see it's not an ordinary hotel. The only things that will keep me from coming back is that for 300.00 a night I expected more of the rooms. The rooms were pretty but nothing special not for that price. I can get a 150 dollar hotel here in the US and Italy and get a very clean hotel with a nice vestibule and have a kitchenette and living room. You have to pay for wifi, I couldn't believe it. No microwave I know it's small and may be cheesy but I had a friend come with us and she's on a special diet so instead of being able to heat her oatmeal and special prescription type diet food we had to comb the city looking for a place where she could eat. I enjoyed my stay but knowing what I know now I won't stay here again or recommend it. You just don't get what you pay for.

We went for my daughter's 21st birthday to nyc. the rooms are really nice. The location is great and the staff very nice and helpful. the hotel lobby is a little dated but that is a very minor issue. Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it.

The experience was excellent.. The only issue was having to pay for Internet service.
