First off just want to say the staff is extremely helpful. We had booked a room with a King size bed only but upon check in was moved to a room with a queen size bed + foldable twin for the first night and into a room with 2 double beds for the rest of our stay. They had also added on a complimentary buffet voucher for breakfast. Secondly, getting around to the subways, times square and other major attractions was really convenient. It's about a 15 min walk to times square and 5-10 minutes for most subways. It cost about 8-10$ depending on the time of the day to uber to times square. Overall, no complaints with the staff or location.. wish there were more elevators. It can get pretty busy sometimes and coming down from the higher floors would take a bit.

Room was small but very comfortable and cozy. I enjoyed it. I find no reason to have a big hotel room as we do not spend alot of time in the room. Our bathtub would not drain, but was taken care of immediately. One negative, which the hotel could not help, is the other people on the floor were very loud sometimes out in the hall. I would definitely stay here again

Great location. Super super tiny hotel. Many floor (27) and only two elevators.

Very friendly staff, close walk to times square and other great attractions. They welcomed us with warm chocolate chip cookies and check in didn't start until 4 and they had our room ready at 12! Loved this hotel and experience. The room was a great getaway from an awesome day of activities.

The rooms are on the small side, but it's in the middle of Manhattan-there is no space! The staff are great, very accommodating and welcoming. The room is clean and maintained. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent service from all staff we encountered. Rooms were spotless cleaned everyday. A domestic occurred in one room on our floor. Security straight on to it.

We stayed overnight 11/29 to 12/1. The rooms are clean and updated, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom, while on the small side, is also clean and bright with good water pressure and all the expected amenities. Where this hotel stood out for me was the exceptional staff. From the moment I first made contact over the phone to ask about early check-in, until the moment the stellar Bellman put us in our cab back to the ferry, this was the best my family and I have ever been treated by a hotel staff. Kudos to DoubleTree Chelsea. As long as you keep hiring people of this caliber, I will be staying with you.

Close to everything. Clean and comfortable. Staff was amazing!

Experience was great. Hotel staff was very informed regarding restaurants and transportation. Everyone was professional and very courteous. Food was very good.

Pros: Location is good, subway is very close by Front desk is friendly and nice Cons: No bottled water provided No luggage storage service under any circumstances (due to their own policy, not even doubletree or Hilton's policy) Fitness center is really small with limited options Overall: I booked this hotel for my parents when they came to visit from Taiwan to attend my graduation. Even though they didn't enjoy the hotel due to the cons I listed above, I do understand that hotels in midtown with this price are all having small rooms and space. However, one thing I cannot stand is that they don't provide luggage storage even when my parents just checked out for one night and would re-check in one day after. Instead, they recommended us to use storage company which was located on 37th st (that's almost 10 blocks away). My parents were getting old and it was too much trouble for them to carry their luggages all the way to there. At the end, we put the luggages at my place (on 34th st) instead, but it was still troublesome.

We had a room with a broken toilet and was told not to use it.

Won't be staying here again. Our heat was pretty much nonexistent. Cold air was blown even though we turned it up. We eventually had to turn the whole unit off so we didn't end up with frostbite (joking, but it was freezing). Housekeeping came to the room starting at 6:30am even with the do not disturb sign on the door. When asked to come back they just went to the rooms next to ours and made so much noise it was IMPOSSOBLE to get any sleep. They came back 4 more times before we got fed up and checked out at 10:30. Not worth it!

Met expectations friendly staff. Morning coffee great and Jamal very nice at front desk. Pleasant experience a little bit of a walk but able to cab it. Would stay again.

This was not a four star experience. It began at check-in when we passed through an outside entrance which consisted of dying shrubs and broken tables. It continued with an assignment to a handicap room which did not have the bathtub which we requested. It ended with the the realization that the chamber maid picked up the make up case along with the used towels.

The hotel was centrally located in the area we desired to be. close to penn station ( 3 blocks ) and close to times square ( 20 blocks ). The rooms were smaller than expected, but had enough space for the two of us.

We stayed at this hotel in late August 2015. We came home to realize our bodies were covered in bug bites! On top of that, Hilton Customer Service treated the incident as a non-event. I filed a complaint with Hilton Corporate upon my return home, and to my surprise, no call back, no follow up, no nothing from either Corporate or the hotel. Since the stay I have been following up to get some sense of what happened and some compensation for the incident we experienced as a result of their negligence. The only thing they've acknowledged, Hilton Corporate that is, is that a response has not been provided within the 72 hours allotted. Beyond that they have stayed surprisingly mum.

Service was good. The room was nice and clean. It was a great experience.

We got upgraded immediately upon check in, great view and good size room for NYC. Hotel was close to Penn Station and easy to get to.

Overall the hotel/room was fine, with the exception of the bathroom which smelled rank. I expect better from a major chain.

The area was nice, hotel location not we wanted. Day time staff was very accommodating, however the service in the evening was very slow. Room was a little small, but expected for the area. We left the hotel after our second of seven nights stay due to service, poor Internet service and TV freezing up often. The Management was very nice, yet we still left. Having stayed a other doubletrees I was disappointed with this one. Do like the area around the hotel.
