Location and price of room was outstanding. In fact while there, a friend who is a local condominium owner came to look through the room to tell her friends to stay there since my partner and I bragged about how lovely it is and the reasonableness of the price. One area needing attention in the room (207) was the shower door wouldn't fully close, resulting in water on the floor outside the shower. I did report this to management. FREE coffee from the breakfast would have been a treat.

Liked family atmosphere and cleanliness. Would like to see automatic thermostats that turn off and on when needed to prevent it getting too cold or hot and the noise that the unit makes running constantly.

I don’t normally leave negative comments, but as a very experienced business traveller I will not stay here again and I would not recommend it to others. First, the check in time is no earlier that’s 4:00 pm. They will not even check to see if a room is available or contact you if a room opens up prior. There is no place to wait for a room. There are several chairs in the lobby that are full with people waiting for hours for a room. Second, the reception staff clearly don’t care and will make no attempt to help or share information. Have to wait 2+ hours for a room and need to use the single bathroom available that has been locked for 30 minutes? They won’t tell you that there is another one (on the 26th floor) that is your only other option . The room was larger than normal for a NYC hotel, but there were several problems. The tv is old and the speakers were blown so the sound was terrible. There was also something mechanical in the wall behind the bed that buzzed intermittently every 3 to 7 seconds which is not conducive to a good night sleep. This place is good on paper, but I will actively avoid it in the future. .

The place was great, the room was clean that was friendly plenty of amenities. I was upgraded to a suite. I couldn't ask for more.

The location and value are incredible, staff was always helpful and friendly. All of our special requests were satisfied. The lounge was also a nice perk, especially on check in/out days.

Room was outdated and smelled. Furniture was worn, uncomfortable, and stained. Carpet was old, stained, and soiled with black mold. When you close the restroom and sit on the pot you can see everyone outside in the room and they can see you through the big gap that is between the door and the door jam. The pictures online do not accurately depict the condition of the room you may be renting. Over 3k to stay for a week--Never Again.

Very good location, one bedroom suite has nice size with two bathrooms, staff are very nice and they give us feee upgrade so we can stay next to our friends at same floor.

Clean, comfortable room with a great sized bathroom, nice linens and good location. The only disappointment was the breakfast. The staff at breakfast was lovely and helpful. The food was mediocre at best!

Wonderful stay. Only complaint was bathroom was small and the shower kept leaking through the liner and curtain onto the floor despite the fact that the liner was in place and the shower curtain outside. It was obvious that both liner and curtain were too short so water escaped.

This hotel was a fantastic value and really nice to stay at. It was possibly the largest room I've had in New York, and all of the staff were great. The bathroom fixtures were pretty old and some of the furniture was showing a little wear, but the shower pressure was great, plus the couch and bed were very comfortable. Also close to all the train lines I needed for my meetings throughout the city!

Looks and feels like to just a place for a tourist to lay down. So ordinary & clustered. Lobby not inviting or welcoming.

My wife and I recently spent two nights at The Manhattan Club. We were very pleased with the suite and the hotel in general.

We stayed one night for a conference, wished we could have stayed longer. Location is great, staff is friendly. We had a free upgrade to a suite (small kitchenette, 2 closets, and a small living room/dining for 2), so the amenities were above a usual for a hotel in Manhattan. Staff were available for questions. It was a great value for what we paid for.

IT WAS GREAT!! MINUS THE SMALL OPTIONS FOR BREAKFAST

We booked this hotel the day before arriving at the Manhattan Hotel, at 10:30pm. When we arrived there the following day, we found out that we had paid for the wrong night, the one before our arrival. It was our mistake but, considering that the payment and the reservation was done at 10:30pm for that night, the chances for the hotel to occupy that room were extremely low. Plus, the hotel was not full at all that weekend. We tried to explain to the front desk manager and tried to get any special rate (since they charged us $258 for nothing some hours ago, for a room that we obviously did not use). Mr. Spera, the front desk manager, was unkind to us, made us wait with our toddler for more than one hour for NOTHING, ruining our short stay in New York. On top of the $258 we paid to the hotel for nothing, he promised to give us their best rate. On the contrary, he lied to us, offering rooms at a higher rate than what we could find online. He did not contacted any of his superiors (who were not there, and even worse, not reachable) and he took advantage of our situation, not showing any understanding or trying to satisfy us AT ALL. The hotel charged us with two nights full price, did not provide us with any reasonable compensation and did not show any willingness to help. I have contacted the managers and will update this post with their exact response.

Comfortable and cozy.. Good experience with the Staff.. helpful

Great experience. This hotel is close to everything you want to do in NYC. The staff is very helpful to get you where you want to go.

The staff were nice, but it was not enough to make up for the condition of our room which was a total letdown. We felt completely misled with the type of room we could expect. There were bugs in the shower, the in window heating unit was more than disruptive and sleeping in the floor, if it was cleaner, would have been more comfortable than the bed. To top it off, the systems were down when we checked out and we were not able to voice our concerns.

If you have a late check in like we had and arrive to New York after 10:00pm , please do not go to the AppleJack diner you are goin to ruin your stomach!!!
