Overall, my experience at the hotel was average. The cleanliness was satisfactory, and the location was convenient. However, I encountered an issue with the lack of hot water when I wanted to shower. Despite calling reception for assistance, they were unresponsive initially, and when I went down to the lobby, they assured me an engineer would investigate the problem. I recommend the hotel management to promptly address such issues and ensure guests have access to basic amenities like hot water.

I’ve stayed here for 26 years. I love the people and location. Bobby at the door is the ultimate in caring!

I didn't like it. Probably won't be coming back if i have to. Not worth the high prices.

Great property and location.

In the last 3 years we've been to NYC about 4 times and always stay around the same area because it is very conveniently located near the theaters. Of these 4 times, we've stayed twice at Hotel Edison and personally I find this hotel to be my favorite. It has that historic old charm, with all the upgrades and conveniences. I always book rooms with terraces, which makes me feel a bit less caged in, and square footage in this area is a luxury. I find the rooms at Hotel Edison very roomy and for those that have said the rooms are small, well...you must not have seen some of the other rooms around this area then. There are plenty of elevators and never much of a wait to get in and out (ahem, ahem Alliz Hotel?). I've never had issues at this hotel. I like that they check for keys at the entrance. Housekeeping is respectful and discreet. Breakfast is included, though we didn't take advantage of this, as we are on vacation so sleeping in as much as possible. The hotel is literally just steps from Times Square, and steps from all the major theaters. It's always bustling and bright and lively around this area and it feels safe. For the price, Hotel Edison is your best bet. The only con is that because it is so close to all the action, the noise level can get pretty bad and compared to some of the other hotels in the area, the soundproofing needs a bit of work. With that said, if given a choice, I would still pick Hotel Edison for the room size and convenience.

The rooms are out dated and extremely small!

Great location

The hotel is located right in the heart of Times Square…the staff are excellent especially Jean, the manager. Marco the doorman and Bobby the doorman! Real New Yorkers

The property was dirty and very outdated. The rooms were very small and the beds were uncomfortable. Hotel staff had like 50 people waiting in the lobby because they had no rooms cleaned for check in. Ive stayed in motel 6's that were nicer than this place.

Room given at midnight already had some body else in the room. Big chaos and waste of 2 hours to get alternate room Rooms are below average

The hotel itself is great. Customer service was on point as well. Location is right by Times Square and the only reason why it’s not a 5 star rating is because you can hear everything especially in the evening when trying to get some sleep. The windows are obviously older so no noise reduction there.

I stayed here with family and friends , group of almost 15 people. Love Everything about the hotel. It's safe location is great. Check in smooth. We checked online a day ahead

Historic Hotel right in the heart of NYC! So much to do and see right outside the hotel. Rooms and bathroom are on the smaller side but we knew that from the reviews and managed with it just fine. Lots of elevators with very minimal wait time. Times Square is not a quiet place but this hotel provides a haven from the hustle and bustle from the area. We did have some street noise on the 10th floor. People are heavy on the horns in this area. The $5 breakfast special with hotel vouchers at Friedman’s was fantastic! We would stay here again! :-)

The rooms are old. The bathroom has no place to place toiletries. The hair dryer did not work. The shower was a drizzle - no pressure at all. It also seemed that there were only two elevators working at a time - and during rush times it took forever.

Great experience except the very low water pressure in the shower.
