New York Marriott Marquis

We had a very pleasant stay. We flew in from Houston to attend an event at MetLife stadium in New Jersy. Chose to stay here as it was in the middle of all the action at Times Square. Great view from hotel room and restaurants.

Stayed 3 days with family at the hotel. It's big and right in the center of the time square. The elevators are in the mid and you need to key the floor number outside before you step in. Several minutes walk to subways and to lot of restaurants.

Marriott Marquis has an excellent location with ease to Broadway and beyond. I was expecting more nuisance from tourists, but was pleasantly surprised by the clientele, as I was there for business and pleasure. There was a certain disdain for booking through a third party (Orbitz) even though I am an Elite member, as evidenced by the front desk staff. Other staff was very friendly. The room was more spacious than I expected from 2 double beds. Overall wonderful experience, other than the front desk blip.

The hotel has a great location and nice room. My problem was that after checking out I left 3 phone and computer chargers in the room. I called and left a message shortly after. It took 2 days and multiple messages to receive a return call. Then the answer was no we did not find them. I saw the housekeeper that was going into the room on our way out the door and know it would be easy for the staff to know whom this was. However there was no effort to do anything about the loss. It is a large hotel and customer service gets lost in this.

We were able to get in room early. Not cleaned good M and Ms all over the floor in various places. Don't think it was ever vacuumed. Next day after being out all day came back to room at 3:30 on and room wasn't even cleaned at all yet! Out of EVERYTHING!

Very comfortable bed and bedding! I highly recommend this hotel. I don't have a single complain. Wish we would have stayed longer. You can walk to any restaurant or entertainment because everything is so close by. All the attractions are in Times Square!

High price for what you received. Location is great.

The location of this hotel couldn't have been better. Right in the middle of Time Square. Lots of restaurants around and great shopping. All the nice places seem to be within walking distance. The only draw back some of the regular restaurants are a bit pricey

The room was very clean, pretty, and very comfortable. Comfy beds! Their room service is more affordable than many luxury hotels, and it's fast, nice food, delivered in disposable to-go containers very quickly. Wifi is not free, but you can cross your fingers that your cell phone reception is sufficient for your needs. (I opted to risk an extra data charge versus $20/day for wifi (plus you never know if it'll be good wifi). A couple more fun things: you can check your bill and check out from your room using the TV. Then the key drop is in the lobby. Also you can login to your Netflix account on the TV. Awesome! If you struggle with heights, half of the elevators are glass and face each level coming up and down. There are over 40 floors, so this could be a deal breaker for some. But you could try for one of the elevators with no windows. It's close to a ton of theatres (all the theatres!) and restaurants. 2 of our 3 shows were less than a block away. That made for easy returns with my teenage daughter after hanging out at the stage door. Happily, it's very well situated, which made my daughter and I feel pretty safe. It's a lovely hotel if you can afford it. You get less for your dollar in NYC, but if you go with that expectation, you can still enjoy yourself. My husband and I went to a much cheaper place on our previous visit, and I was turned off enough that I just didn't enjoy being there. I'd rather save up for the Marriot Marquis each time.

It was very comfortable. We had a great time The service was excellent.

Perfect location. Best experience in a NY hotel so far. I will definitely continue to stay in Marriott.

Lily our check in clerk was beyond helpful!!! Gave us excellent shopping tips & Broadway txs purchase help!!! Offered reasonable upgrade w wine pkg!!!

Loved being in Time Square close to all attractions.

Celebrating my granddaughter's high school graduation with a three night trip to NYC! She chose to return to NYC to see the sights missed three years ago on a previous trip. The Marriott Marquis was the perfect location for our purpose of seeing Broadway shows, and in the midst of the Times Square action! She was the navigator for all of our adventures using the subway system. Uptown to Central Park for a two hour bike tour, to downtown to the One World Observatory and lunch. An evening performance, and then dinner at The View, the only revolving restaurant in NYC on the 48th floor of the Marriott. Ending our stay with a delightful "breakfast in the room" treat on our last morning. Fabulous service, friendly advice, and helpful information from all staff throughout our stay! A wonderful trip filled with memories to remember.

The Bellhop Greeters did a awesome job and very professional!! Would definitely recommend to friends and family! Kid friendly clean atmosphere for all ages!

Everything was good except for a few minor irritations--bloodstain on a towel, cobweb on ceiling & no clean glasses on second day. The room was remarkably quiet for being in the middle of Times Square. Overall a very good experience.

Stephanie S checked me in and she was awesome! She was very friendly and so helpful with all my questions! Made the start of my NY experience perfect!

It is a wonderful location for theater and the hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful . The room we had was a little tired -- rooms need updated.

Only a few word, "EXCELLENT" Everythings at the Marriott's style "Excellent"

A++ Good location but a bit outdated.
