New York Marriott Marquis

The hotel is older and it shows. The location is great but I expected better facilities.

Right in the center of everything - close to shows

The hotel was great! Very helpful staff! So close to restaurants and shopping!!! I would recommend the hotel to others!

This hotel is right in the heart of all the tourist action at Times Square so it was easy to plan a day of tourist options like museums, shopping, theaters etc. I recommend upgrading your room to a room with a view of Times Square, it's truly mesmerizing to watch it throughout your stay. During my experience the staff was super friendly and very helpful. During our checkout there was also a large convention that was departing at the same time and even amidst all that confusion and mayhem the staff ran the valet and bag service like a well oiled machine! Kudos ! Room service was fast, tasty and and priced competitively with dining options outside of the hotel. I also recommend that you plan to dine at the restaurant located on the top floor of the hotel, The View. It's a rotating restaurant so your view changes over the course of about an hour. There is both a Lounge and a Restaurant, reservations are required for the restaurant so we chose the lounge and had a very enjoyable "happy hour" of cocktails and small bites from their menu.

If you want one of the best views of Times Square, this is your hotel. Remember this number: 4540. That was the room I stayed in. It's a large hotel that's run with efficiency. It's a great location if you are seeing plays. You can walk to all of the theaters and there's plenty of restaurants close by.

The check in process was O:K. I think they may be understaffed as I tried to call the front desk on 2 different occasions and never got an answer......

Excellent Hotel close to everything! Beds could have been better, but overall Great

Very efficient staff and quick check in and out. Hotel surprisingly quiet for the location and room very clean and roomy enough for three. Center of Times Square location makes it very easy to explore all areas of the city with minimal switching of trains etc.

Great and rooms were big in NYC standards! We had a view of time square and the staff that we dealt with were awesome.

the lication was perfect, restaurants amasing and room comfort was the best.

Nice size room with two double beds and single sleep sofa. Very comfortable beds. Great location in Times Square. Roof top revolving bar/restaurant fun.

Very convenient to all shows we attended. Great breakfast in hotel restaurant with the most efficient and entertaining waiter I have ever experienced!

I scheduled through a third party, felt great about it all until I realized there was a daily destination fee. What a rip off. I will not stay at a Marriott again until the fee is dropped.

Loved the location, the view, and will stay there again next time.

Nice and close to everything. Location was good. Staff were nice And helpful.

Just took a guess as to which hotel to use for this vacation. Boy did we luck out. Right on Times Square with all the action Food on the 8th floor restaurant was wonderful with the view. The restaurant on the roof called "the view" was top notch. Location was centered to many attractions and only 1 block from the parade. We will visit the city again and use this hotel.

We were allowed to check-in early which I appreciated, but the room had blood stains on the bathroom floor which was disgusting to look at. The shower itself was dirty and had stuff stuck all over the bottom of it while showering. As for the view it was amazing. This is definitely a family hotel at best. I don't think I would stay here again if given the opportunity as I was thoroughly disappointed with the room being unclean.

The only issue was when too many guests converged on the hotel after the parade. The staff did a remarkable job of handling the convergence of a multitude of individuals entering the hotel.

To wake up and see Time Square....Then New Years Ball... and BROADWAY.... To walk out of hotel and across the street to the theater...Tkts Booth...The Marquis made us feel like we were living the life in New York...Oh the 43rd floor view and the One Bedroom Suite helped... But seriously, this hotel rooms are large, location is great and David at Front desk went out of his way. We were also quite impressed with Room Service.

We arrived to the hotel well before check-in time, the check-in host was very gracious, gave us several suggestions on what to do while we waited for a room, in addition to offering us breakfast. Unfortunately, we did not get a room until more than eight hours later due to late check-outs. During this time, we were told more than once that our room was "being cleaned", which would lead one to believe that we'd have a room within a reasonable amount of time. After the shift change, the story of when we would get our room was much different. Honesty is always the best policy. Don't make promises you cannot keep, as it is frustrating to the customer, especially after a long travel day.
