our stay room 842 for 10 days... all the staff were friendly and knowledgeable...nonetheless these folks were standouts we watched the hardest working and most polite housekeeping staff in nyc... the folks behind the counter at "herb n kitchen"...never rattled, always polite, efficient, and sometimes sympathetic...like when i almost "fainted" at paying 4.75 for a cup (8oz) of cow's milk

Had good times except in house restaurants.

We booked way in advance but we got there early was able to check in early, the security was great and we felt incredibly comfortable here. Short walk from time square easy access to subway lines and short walk either way. For it being for New Year’s Eve it was just a few blocks to Marriott marquis where we celebrated ! Overall everything was perfect and comfortable would stay here again!

Fourth time to stay here. Last year stayed at hotel in Times Square which was great for broadway shows but came back to the Hilton this year because location convenient to so much more.

You can't beat the location, especially for the price. I'd give the hotel 5 stars if there was a refrigerator in each room, the beds were queens instead of fulls and there was a real restaurant, not just a grab and go.

Very easy check in and out staff very nice Rooms clean no complaints at all this is second time to stay there very highly recommended

Great place to stay if you want to be near everything.

The room service was quick and the food was delicious from Herb & Kitchen. Friendly housekeeping team and the room was spotless and very comfortable. Always a great stay at the New York Hilton.

Good place to stay. Convenient location Recommend staying there

First of all, I don't know if this is a New York thing, or just at this hotel, but I have never stayed at a hotel that charged $4 for a cup of coffee. There were really no offerings for guests of any kind. The only thing the room had to offer was a refrigerator. Not even a microwave. There are no vending machines available, so something minor like a soda requires going to the on site restaurant and paying $4.25 for a 20oz soda. There was no view from our room. All we saw was the next building. One of the beds was not comfortable. The mattress was high on one end and sinks low on the other end. I'm not sure when was the last time these mattresses were replaced or even turned down. I also felt like we were considered second rate guests because we were not part of a corporation. There were several corporate events going on, and they seemed to have the staff's priority. The hotel also failed to notify that in order to get a shuttle to the airport, we had to give them 24 hours notice. When I tried to get a shuttle the morning of checkout, the transportation department tried to charge us $150 for a ride, and she told us that there was "no other option except for a taxi." We had to go to concierge to make other arrangements and luckily were able to find a shuttle for much less.

Me and my family stayed here from 12/6/17 - 12/13/17 and very pleased with the hotel and location. The lobby is beautiful, clean and nicely decorated for Christmas. Staff was helpful. I was pleased to have a security guard at the front entrance asking to see room keys after 10 PM every night. The room was a decent size, enough for 4 people. Housekeeping was very generous on stocking us up with lotion, shampoo/conditioner and shower caps. Would have been nice to have a small coffee pot in our room, maybe I stayed in a room without one but no big deal. We were pleased with the hotel overall.

Nice location with close walking access to Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center and Broadway

Right over Macy’s Parade ! Best breakfast ever ! We were able to get a early check in and a late check out ! Great friendly staff !

I pretty much liked everything except for the beds that look a bit dated.

The shower/bath water control was so tight that we can't turn the water off and the handle bars had streaks of rust stains. There was a fire on the lower floors and the staff didn't issue an evacuation order rather just advised that there's an incident that NYPD was looking into. Guests in the upper floors decided to walk down due to smoke and smell of burning electrical.

I made a booking for 6 people. When I checked in I found only 4 beds in the room. I complaint to a manager who told me that the number of beds are assigned based on room type instead of number of people. I asked him then what I was supposed to do with the extra 2 guests. He agreed to send me two rollaway beds. Over 30 minutes later someone showed up with one rolloway bed only! In addition, one of the beds (queen size) is coming out of a sofa bed. It had dirty linens from a previous guest. Completely unacceptable!

We loved our hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was very nice. My husband and I had to share a very small bathroom. We were not happy with that at all. Also, larger trash cans would be nice. But all in all, when we come back to Manhattan, wen will definitely stay at the Hilton.

The hotel was comfortable but I was surprised that a hotel that size didn't have a proper restaurant. They did have the Herb-n-Kitchen, which sold prepackaged salads and sandwiches, but no proper restaurant. The room was comfortable but the view was just other highrises.

We had an excellent experience on our stay in Manhattan. This hotel was in very good condition, friendly staff and was in the perfect location, the heart of Manhattan.

Very convenient location. We were able to walk to just about everywhere we wanted to go.
