New York Hilton Midtown

I made a booking for 6 people. When I checked in I found only 4 beds in the room. I complaint to a manager who told me that the number of beds are assigned based on room type instead of number of people. I asked him then what I was supposed to do with the extra 2 guests. He agreed to send me two rollaway beds. Over 30 minutes later someone showed up with one rolloway bed only! In addition, one of the beds (queen size) is coming out of a sofa bed. It had dirty linens from a previous guest. Completely unacceptable!

We loved our hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful. Our room was very nice. My husband and I had to share a very small bathroom. We were not happy with that at all. Also, larger trash cans would be nice. But all in all, when we come back to Manhattan, wen will definitely stay at the Hilton.

The hotel was comfortable but I was surprised that a hotel that size didn't have a proper restaurant. They did have the Herb-n-Kitchen, which sold prepackaged salads and sandwiches, but no proper restaurant. The room was comfortable but the view was just other highrises.

We had an excellent experience on our stay in Manhattan. This hotel was in very good condition, friendly staff and was in the perfect location, the heart of Manhattan.

Very convenient location. We were able to walk to just about everywhere we wanted to go.

This hotel is still a landmark, though not new nor particularly fashionable any more. If you are looking for a standard business-class full-service hotel in midtown Manhattan, with solid comfort and all the required services, this is a good choice. It is just steps away from MOMA; short walk to Carnegie Hall; short subway ride from Times Square, Broadway theaters, Lincoln Center, etc.

Check in was super fast and easy. Our rooms were ready for our early arrival. Our daughter and husband requested to change their room to a king instead of 2 dbl beds and they were switched immediately. Housekeeping was excellent. I will definitely stay here again...real soon.

Excellent, would highly recommend! Beyond exceptions.

Facilities are older and in need of update. Wallpaper faded and peeling away in bathroom and hallway. Ceiling in bathroom growing mold, no vent system to remove moisture. Beds uncomfortable. Staff adequate. Excellent location which makes up for lack of updates. More reminiscent of a 2 star motel.

Got an early check in which was great. Nice room with large flat screen TV. Only negative was the ridiculous $4.00 per bag storage charge when I checked out. I have stayed at lots of Hilton hotels and do not remember ever being charged to check a bag for a couple of hours. Ridiculous, felt sorry for the family behind me who had four kids and about eight or nine bags..

Excelente service and staff was friendly and helpful

The location is perfect. Close walking distance to tourist attractions and subway system. Perfect for seeing a lot in a short amount of time.

Hotel was very clean and in a very convenient location.

Had a weekend getaway in Midtown, and the Hilton was the perfect spot, good price, and my stay was just what I wanted from the hotel - uneventful. Hilton Midtown was clean, professional, and the staff was kind, quiet, and helpful, which meant I could focus on enjoying my weekend, not worrying about my room.

It was nice and Clean- Why do I have to write more to submit this- that's what most people want to know

Nicely located and within walking distance to many tourist hot spots. Only complaint was hotel staff trying to convince is to take their $140 shuttle to the airport because it's cheaper than Uber. Uber cost us $74.00.

My expectation of the famous Hilton Hotel seemed disappointing. The 3 and four stars Hotels that we had resided looks 5 stars compared to Hilton, to include the current Military Lodges nowadays. My perception is that this, Hotel has been mismanaged lately. There was not even a courtesy drinking water nor other necessities being offered to the residents. The Herb and Kitchen employees have no customer related manners, rude and seemed bitter towards their jobs. Even the employees in the lounge bars seemed unhappy and bitter, could not even smile a bit. I feel bad to one lady who was yelled at by the cashier at the Herb and Kitchen for a simple mistake that she was not on the customer line. At the same token, a couple of oriental ladies were thrown out of the bar table because they failed to order drinks sooner.

We drove 5+ hours and arrived at the hotel around 2PM with 2 babies. We try to check-in asap so that the babies can get some proper rest. The staff told me the rooms are available after 3PM, which is fine even though I tried very hard to get a room immediately. However, when we come back later around 6PM they told me the room is not available until 8PM, which is ridiculous. Also, the staff at the lobby are not very friendly or helpful. We will definitely not stay there anymore.

Family trip to NYC. Clean, decent size rooms. Highly recommended!

Everything you need for a stay in NYC. Location and comfort are hard to beat. We enjoyed staying there very much.
