The location is excellent , next to the park and half a block from the metro station In the middle of NYC The hotel isn't outdated , rooms are old. All rooms had safety box but not my room we call and they kindly say that it was weird but the were going to put one as soon as possible Well the soon as posssible never came , when we call the third time , they told us that they had a safety box downstairs , which the let us use after the second night We order something from amazon , the things arrive and they said there was nothing , so we had to call amazon and they said who received it and when we call concierge the found it So it was little things but still for me that is why my review was like that

Great hotel is really close to central park has a nice view

Hotel is charming and best you can have for midtown location. You can walk across the street to Central Park and also walk to best NYC shopping or finest museums.

The hotel was great overall, staff was kind and good hotel's location was also great we walked everywhere and 10 meters away there was a subway station. However, hotel was charged us 35 USD per night as a facility fee and 2.93 dollars as a tax per night which is noticed in the confirmation, so know you will be asked to pay that amount.

Maximum three stars hotel! Over priced ! The carpets is dirty everywhere! Breakfast is cold and pure, but will cost you 40 dollars! Stuff at the breakfast area is unwelcome! Never will stay here any more!

I live the park lane hotel. Me and my husband always choose to stay here because it's location, fantastic view, confortable room and bed. Good cost benefit!

The room did not have heat in January in NY! We'd gone to the city for an Anniversary celebration which was spoiled by this stay. We checked in at 5pm and the room was cool so we turned on the heat. After a dinner/symphony evening, we returned at 11pm and the room was still cool. By 6am it was simply to cold to stay. We alerted the front desk and checked out. Every hotel at every level should offer heat in the winter. If there is a failure in that area, full compensation should be made. Certainly a NY hotel in the Central Park area should at the very least be offering heat! Additional resort fees were removed at our request. In writing I requested a comp'ed night in lieu of a full refund. That offer was refused. And so our Anniversary weekend in NY was a loss. We will not stay there again and I do not recommend any hotel that refuses to correct it's mistakes.

My husband and I loved our experience here at the Park Lane Hotel. The location was ideal and the customer service exceptional. Our room was quiet, cozy, and a nice view of the city and partial park. We will definitely return!

Very friendly staff. The room was a nice size and clean and quiet. This is not a trendy hotel. It's elegant, which is so much nicer.

1st the hotel arranged for a car to pick us up---went to wrong hotel 2nd wrong hotel was a sister hotel were told to take our luggage and walk at 11pm the 10 blocks to the right one 3rd upon check in the front desk told us that they had different info. so it would be an extra $200 per nite, even though we had the paper work from orbitiz 4th we were told by the hotel itself (not some 800 number ) that they had 24 hour room service, I have to eat at specific time "oh yea our kitchen is closed PERMANENTLY has been for weeks 5th no heat in room NY in DEC

This Hotel isn't as nice as the Holiday Inn for far less! Very disappointing!

It is near wonderful things to do in NYC starting with Central Park. It is also near the most exclusive stores in America as well as Rockefeller Center. The hotel room was spacious and the staff very friendly.

Our room had an amazing park view, it was a good size (three closets!) very comfortable bed and clean. But the bathroom in particular is very tired. Some cracked tiles etc. But we gladly traded that for the view and park front location. The only other real negative was the lack of bellmen when we wanted to store and pickup our bags. We had to wait 20 minutes!

Be careful not to get a room near the elevator shaft -- the up and down of the elevator car will keep you awake all night. Also, don't be surprised by the $150 charge on your credit card before you reach your room after checking in -- They pre-charge for expenses you have not made, and say they will return it to your card if unused-- Have not see that return yet -- Also, there is a "Facilities Fee" that you have to pay no matter if you use the facilities or not. So heads up on that additional expense.

As a Gold member I'm entitled to free wi fi and breakfest in VIP Hotels Park Lane belongs to VIP, when I asked in the hotel they told me they are not aware of it.I called Orbitz on 10/15/16 until now no answer . So where is the truth about that benefit is real or not ?

I was disappointed when I walked to the room. very old mattress that you could see it's sucked in. Carpets are even older with stains and toilet bowl had black water stain (not removable) as soon as I rated on Orbitz site, Management called me and they moved us to another room, the only different with this room was the stains in toilet bowl were lighter. Air condition unit was noisy. it's is a old hotel and it need a major renovation very helpful and pleasant staff and best location.

Location is great Views pf the park are recommended, especially a high floor

Comfortable and convenient to everything we wanted to do!

Being a 5-star standard hotel, it is so close to the Centre Park and Met Museum which is the reason we love NYC so much. It was great to take a walk in the Centre Park and enjoy the quite & sunny morning in such a morden city. After a traditional american breakfast at the corner of 6th ave, it was a nice walk alone the 5th ave to the famous Met Museum and stay a whole day there browsing the great arts all over the world. Watching the sunset through the window of an italy restaurant next to the hotel, I was enjoying the delicious steak before I went back to the lovely room of this hotel. I loved my stay in NYC and I'll be back again.

My recent stay at the Park Lane Hotel in NYC was terrific thanks to a fabulous view of Central Park from our 31st story room, and wonderful, helpful staff. In particular, we found the Concierge staff to be terrific in terms of helping plan out the day, getting terrific seats at a B'dway show, and overall suggestions and planning.
