Park Lane Hotel

This is an excellent hotel to stay in NYC for either business or leisure. The location can't be beat. The rooms are in very good condition. The staff are all very friendly and professional.

Location is great. The building is old and the interior is dirty and dated. The fees they charge you are outrageous. I paid for the stay upfront with Orbitz. Once I arrived to the Hotel they informed me they charge a facility fee and resort fee plus taxes. For 3 nights this added up $470.00. Very dissapointed.

The fabulous location is the selling point of this hotel. Plus the very cordial staff made our stay very pleasant. The furnishings of the room could be better but the view of the park was spectacular. Definitely recommended !!!

property is very dated and in poor disrepair. Room was dirty had soiled towels in bathroom from previous guest and food on the sheets. The shower did not drain well and we were forced to shower in 5 inches of standing water. After the third request the hotel unclogged the drain. The hospitality hour from 5p to 7p is in a large room with a beautiful view of the park but it is a feeding frenzy! People push and shove to get free snacks, sodas, and wine -- food spilled all over the floor and all tables dirty.

I loved the view of Central Park. I also enjoyed the proximity to the Metropolitan. I was able to walk through the park to the Met. The staff was gracious and anxious to assist. It reminded me of the former times in hotel service. I would have liked a broader food service menus, all day. Breakfast was good. The refrigerator kept the extra food we purchased fresh. Also a microwave to reheat food would be useful.

Hotel did not have a record of our payment and tried to charge us again (nearly $2,000) took a call to my bank and then to Orbitz to straighten this out and cost us about 90 minutes of stress and caused us to miss an appointment.

We always stay in this hotel when we are in Manhattan, close to everything , beautiful view of Central Park, good size rooms

The 3216 is a lovely partial Central Park view onto its southeast corner and 5th Ave! I really appreciated the upgrade kindly by Miriam-one of the managers! it was my second stay and barely so for the night in-between travels from Europe, so I highly recommend the value per location of this hotel! Also appreciated the Orbitz VIP credit!

Old, not upkept. Way to much money only for the view

The last time I stayed at the Park Lane, the hotel had just had a room renovation. This was in 2012. The condition of the room left a lot to be desired. A door was off the closet, the wall paper peeling, the shower needed repairs and the air conditioner was so noisy. Maintenance came up and changed the filter. The old filter was really gross! Needless to say, the hotel is in need of another renovation. I would not have known that there was a Happy Hour which your room is charged for if the bellman had not told me.

This is a very tired hotel. This hotel needs a serious face lift. Old used furniture in the rooms. Old rusty bathroom fixtures. In addition, room service is only available in the morning. The rest of the day you’re on your own. There is no minibar in the room only a small refrigerator. It looks like they yanked the minibar from the dresser. The keycard system in the elevator is hit and miss. Housekeeping is responsive. In all honesty, I can’t understand why guests keep giving this hotel 4 stars. This is not a 4 star hotel. If you book a room you will be sorely disappointed.
