The hotel is unique and the dark, old feel of the place charming. It was an ideal winter hotel in many ways. The location could not be better. That said, it is an old hotel -- the heating was uncomfortable -- noisy, too hot, too hard to control -- the internet was spotty at best, the bathroom cramped and old. Some basic amenities that one finds in newer high-end hotels like a kettle or Nespresso are not there. While it was a nice stay, I doubt I would return.

Beautiful room, great service, wonderful restaurant and bar, excellent location.

While the hotel itself is quite beautiful, the staff really ruined our experience. The management seems utterly non existent. Perhaps my expectations were high due to the price of hotel, but the staff they have at this hotel would'nt be hired at a gas station in CT let alone a nice hotel. The housekeeping was actually pretty friendly. The front desk and any phone reps all seem to have the same horrible attitude as if speaking to them is an inconvenience. I honestly can't believe anyone would hire any of the front staff at this hotel. Incredibly disappointed.

Uncomfortable bed, non existent staff, rooms are very stuffy. The only good thing about this hotel is location! Close to everything.

Utterly awful service - waited 25 minutes to check in. Had reserved a queen room and was given a two-double room without notification. No apologies. After spending 15 more minutes talking to the rudest manager ever, got a king room that had a crib in it. Completely disappointing experience for what is supposedly a high-end hotel. Stay far away! Update: 30 minutes later, at 12:30, after we had finally fallen asleep, the manager called our room to apologize for his behavior. At 12:30 in the morning. Unreal.

The hotel was pretty and staff were awesome. I was disappointed in the comfort of the bed which felt like an old style of a spring mattress. I would have thought the bed would be comfortable. Another family member in a different room had the same complaint. If the beds were better I would stay here again but not with the beds the way they were. We didn’t sleep well for 2 nights.

Conceige service at hooted exceccent but queen size bed rooms are way too small

It's ok. Not a five star to me. Staff are cold. I wound not come back.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, great location, good service and nice food/bar

Cute boutique hotel. Love all the small touches of funky throughout. Very convenient to subway! Lots of great restaurant choices within walking distance. We will stay here again should our travels bring us back to NYC.
