The staff was phenomenal. Professional, patient and courteous. The on site restaurant was well maintained and staff there was just as stellar as the rest. Room was a bit aged, but clean, comfortable and well maintained.

With reference to the property, everything was very good. However, with reference to Orbitz NOT knowing about the amount of seemingly extraneous charges so that one would know exactly what to expect, was somewhat disconcerting. I realize that it's New York. But, Orbitz should have the ability to know what some of the charges are. Noting on the Orbitz web site that there may be additional charges is insufficient considering that the 'additional charges' are substantial..

The Waiters & Bar staff were not very attentive, The rest of the staff was amazing. The rooms were outstanding. The location of the hotel was great. I wish we would have stayed longer

Rude and unhelpful staff at the reception. I simply requested a receipt and what I got was "you need to get it from your travel agent.... i'm going to put you on a hold ...." What? YOU are charging me. then she put me on a hold for 5min for this simple task, and then forwaded me to their accounting staff who was even more rude. Hey, I'm a customer.

Very nice hotel, wonderful staff, close to subway stations, mall, and a short walk to literally everything else! Central Park is across the street and was beautiful! I will stay here again!

Close to everything ... wonderful views ... great food... the best of a New York experience.

This stay was much better than my last. Despite the craziness of the city due to the season and the political climate, hotel staff were professional, calm, very friendly and competent. When I checked into my room my bathroom window sill was covered in (typical New York City) grit. It was late and I did not call but next morning housekeeping saw it and addressed it. Very comfortable and spacious room, nice amenities, and great room service. They also remembered free internet as a Marriott member and housekepping promptly brought me a kettle so I could make my own tea when I requested it. I will return.

We had the best time....the staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again on our next trip to the city. The restaurant was great very good menu. Room service was fabulous...very generous portions and great service. I have nothing negative to report. Concierge was extremely helpful, bellmen were so professional and doormen very helpful with cabs and such.

Loved the location. I will say, they didn't help with our request for a queen size bed and no bellhop offered to help with our bags. Room was clean and decently sized for NYC, but wish it could have been cooler. An okay stay at a Marriott, have stayed at better hotels in NYC.

Hotel location and concierge were particularly good. Dave Rahner helped us with a number of requests and he was simply fantastic! He made it a personal experience.

We were in NYC to celebrate our 50th. The hotel upgraded our room to a huge suite without our asking. Our daughter called to arrange for champagne room service and they graciously provided a complementary champagne bottle accompanied by huge chocolate covered strawberries (delicious) to the surprise of our daughter who expected to pay for the service. The only downside to the hotel, is the exorbitant breakfast prices. Unfortunately, the food did not measure up to the shocking prices. Oatmeal was watery, fruit unripe, muffins stale. Oatmeal, yogurt/fruit/muffin plate, one juice and 2 cups of coffee $75 (tip included)!

The room was spacious and inviting The hotel is well located and the staff was super accomodating Would definitely recommend

terrible experience at this $400/room hotel
