Great place to stay in NYC.
My 3rd time at Conrad and I will continue to return each time I need to stay in the city. Friendly staff, great room, and close to everything downtown has to offer.
Great place
Having just stayed at The Conrad New York Downtown Hotel for my birthday. I must say that I’m pleasantly happy that I chose this hotel for this special occasion! From Doris Fong at the reception desk checking me in, to my room and panoramic view of the Hudson River! The sleek, modern lobby is inviting and comfortable; I had the luxury of having dinner with my mother at ‘Atrio’; which was wonderful, great ambiance with warm service. My room was clean, even the cleaning lady on my floor was helpful and attentive. I fully enjoyed my birthday stay here! Took a lot of great pictures and short vids for all my social media pages; nice friendly staff and great variety of guests as well. All around ‘5-stars’ indeed 👏
Very nice facilities and a great stay
Best hotel Ive ever stayed in. They deserve every star of the 5. Staff was professional and very friendly. Even the younger guys were very professional. One gentleman even got me some ice (i was only asking where I could get some). He got the ice, walked me to the elevator and set it up so I coukd get back to my room. The hotel is in a great location...10 minute walk to 911, World Trade Center, and the Oculus and Subway options. Nice mall is right across the street with food courts and expensive stores (ouch), as well as Starbucks. Twenty minute walk to Battery Park to take the ferry to Statue of Liberty. Bagel shop right outside the back is delicious. As far as the room, best designed room I've seen. My 12 yo likes privacy and this was perfect. There was a sliding partition that separated her side (sofabed. TV) from the our side. Our side also had a sliding partition. Bathtoom was in the middle where there was a completely separate, really nice, really big shower. Such as great design and had alot of space. Go ahead and book...you WILL NOT be disappointed. Get a room with a river view...nice view.
Really spacious ,loved the robes and slippers made us feel comfortable.overall perfect!!
A friend recommended this hotel for our first trip to NYC, and I was pleased to find a good air fare/hotel deal on it. The hotel is a gem, in such a great location. They are finishing up a renovation, but we weren't inconvenienced at all. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. The suites are small, but very pleasant. It's nice to have a couch and living room area to use for reading or drinking coffee or whatever. We didn't go see any movies, but the movie theater is right there in the building, and could be a nice distraction. The restaurant was very nice, and the staff there were also very kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Access to shopping and the WTC and Oculus were ridiculously easy. In the winter, when it's bitterly cold and windy, you can cross the street from the hotel, and walk the rest of the way to the new WTC indoors and underground.
Great rainfall shower and very functional overall suite layout.
It’s a lovely property. The rooms are so spacious and clean: that’s the best part about this hotel. The on-site restaurant and bar has great food and drinks. The location to battery park can not be beat! I went on daily walks along the pier: It is truly 5 stars.
Awesome location, very attentive staff. Concierge was great.
The hotel itself was beautiful. Bedding and showers were among the best quality I've experienced. The food was very good. Waterfront rooms feature a great view; but they are somewhat noisy at night. Our major issue is that we had reserved a deluxe king bed suite with sofa bed, specifically because we were hosting another couple for the first night of our stay. We called the hotel the day before check in to verify sofabed was in a separate room! When we arrived, we discovered they'd overbooked, and no rooms with sofa beds or king beds were available. Our room had 2 double beds in one room and a plain sofa in the other. We had to scramble to find another hotel for our friends to stay at that night. The room we booked and paid for was more expensive than the room we got, and we were stuck with it for 2 nights. The hotel manager did offer to move us to a different room for the last 2 days of our stay, and upgraded us to a river view. We were upset that they would overbook and not let us know in advance that the sofa bed rooms were not available especially since we called to verify details in advance. They said they didn't know till the day of check in that they'd overbooked, and thought 2 double beds would be OK In our case, they were totally inappropriate..That said, the hotel itself was so nice and so close to the places we were visiting and dining in, that we would stay there again. This time, however, I would call the day before to be sure I got my room.
