Absolutely Amazing

I absolutely loved this hotel. It’s historic and beautiful, super comfortable and the location couldn’t be better! We were literally a 10 minute straight shot walk to Central Park. I will certainly be staying here again next time I’m in the city and I’ve told pretty much everyone I know about how amazing it is and suggested they stay here as well!

The hotel is lovely and we appreciated the vouchers to Mille Fuille and Allure (restaurant was closed however). The reception staff were not at all friendly. One was very inexperienced. Room and view ok. Bathroom unspeakably small, but with good facilities. Walk ability was nice. We did book a 300 sq ft. King room, but were given a 200 sq ft. room.

Convenient, no-frills hotel in renovated old building, with friendly, helpful staff. Near local and express subway stops, buses, French bakeries, great delis & groceries, discount shopping. Elevators, key cards. Private bathrooms, some adjoining rooms for families. Good closets but no mini-fridges or microwaves. Showers lack grab bars, anti-slip strips on floor, and seats--should be added.. Sinks have sharp corners, narrow rims. Good value for the price but multiple layers of taxes.

Loved it all BUT there was no vanity room in the very lovely bathroom. No place to put anything there. Also would have appreciated an electric kettle for late evening tea. Otherwise extremely enjoyable.

I've stayed here for business in the past and enjoyed the accommodations. I love the breakfast vouchers provided and the stay is exactly what is needed. On this trip, I was upgraded which was a lovely surprise but upon entering my room, it became clear that the space was not cleaned. The floor was filthy, like really dirty and the carpet was full of stains. There was also other questionable staining on the ceiling and bathroom, but the obvious floor filth was the most off-putting. My room on the 9th floor could use a good clean...ASAP.

Spacious room for NY and the coupons for the French Bakery are a great breakfast option. Staff was very helpful. Although there were tiny little flies all around. Only one tiny elevator was working for the 5 days I was there. No coffee/tea/hot water in the room. It's NY and everything is a short walk but I would still like to be able to make some tea. I will stay there again.
