Grand Hyatt New York

Perfect central Manhatten location. Connects to Grand Central so when weather is inclement you don't need to go outside. Staff were very friendly. Room was moderate. Clean with friendly staff. Bed was uncomfortable. Linens weren't scratchy. I would rate this hotel due to location, safety, and quality staff very high.

For a 4 star hotel I expected a little more amenities in the room and a little more space I also felt the rooms could be more spacious and have better decor.

Located adjacent to Grand Central, this is a very convenient midtown location. Unfortunately there seems to be significant problems with the lifts. Between the logic being wrong, cramped size, insufficient lifts in the building given the numbers of floors and rooms and two being down for maintenance, queues of 15 minutes up or down were not uncommon. Maybe this was a one off, but it made for a frustrating experience.

No real problems with staff or hotel accommodations. Bathroom sink was slow draining and needed to be "drano-ed". No other concerns.

Needs an elevator from the main floor to the Lobby to load lugagge! I did not see one.....

I thought the price was great for a hotel like this. The rooms for NYC were BIG. So was the bathroom. It is right next to Grand Central which makes it convenient to get around by subway and Metro-North (if you plan to head to Connecticut). The only bad thing was we could not control the heat in our room. It was mid-January but low 50s out (warmer than usual) and so the heat was on and no AC option. We turned the heat off but couldn't cool down the room enough by opening the window. We even left our door open to get some cool air. Also, no hot water to shower in. It stayed lukewarm the whole time. We were only there one night, so we couldn't switch rooms, even though we paid to upgrade to this specific room. When I complained, they couldn't even waive the upgrade fee. A sour end to an otherwise pleasant stay.

Great location and VERY quiet inside the rooms. Did not hear NYC sirens at all. Great restaurant with solid menu and good drinks. Highly recommended!!

Cheaply renovated Poorly cleaned Hairs everywhere , in the bed / bathroom

Decent hotel..recieved a free upgrade. Wish we had a city view. Bathroom is quite small

For NYC standards it's hotel was good for the money

One of the best hotels in the city Professional staff friendly great accommodations

Very good experience with the room. Right next to grand central!! Wonderful experience

We have been to NYC for 3-day trips several times in the last ten years and stayed at the Hyatt each time. We haven't been disappointed. This stay was no different. Quite, comfortable room. Convenient to the Subway. Quick access to any place in NYC. Walking distance to many great dining spots.

The rooms were much smaller than I imagined them to be. Overall was a clean environment but the fact that we arrived at check in time we still weren't able to have a valet spot.

The hotel is in a great location, the room was a good size and clean. The only drawback was that when we are trying to leave the hotel in the morning we had to wait about 20 minutes for the elevator as there are so many rooms and people in this hotel

Nice hotel. Room was small but fine for just a quick one night stay. Bathroom small and looked a little worn. It was clean and a modern room. Very convenient location. Was happy for the two double bed option when traveling with teens.

This hotel is in the perfect location to walk to most landmarks in Manhattan. The hotel staff were all pleasant and helpful. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was awesome. The room was small, but understandable for NYC. The room floor was not vacuumed prior to my check in. Dust covered to nightstand and fixtures. The bedding was clean and the bed was moderately comfortable. Overall not a bad stay

Having lived in New York and was visiting, the location was perfect. Subway practically at your door step.

Overall below average. the faucet to fill the bathtub was broken and when asked the staff to check it, the answer was all bathtubs in the hotel are like that and we were not offered another room.

I took my daughter and her friend to New York for their 16th birthday. When walked into the lobby of the hotel they were amazed at how beautiful everything was. The view from our room overlooking the city was gorgeous. We enjoyed our time and our stay at the Grand Hyatt New York. The staff was friendly and the rooms were nice.
