We wanted a fun place to stay with a view so we opted for the view of Freedom Tower. We called to confirm our late check in but the room we reserved had apparently been given to another guest when we arrived. There was a plumbing issue in the first room and no A/C, so we asked to be moved on the second night of our stay to the room we had booked. We had to check out and check in later that day, leaving our bags with the bellhop and disrupting our plans for the day. After getting our new room, we were disappointed because it was not the size of room that was advertised nor did we have a view of Freedom Tower as described on the booking site. I had expected a room that was the square footage and a better view than we had. I called to try to remedy the situation but was placed on a long hold. I will stay elsewhere on my next visit to New York. I would advise against trying to book an upgraded room at this hotel. Just get the cheapest room. The hotel staff told me all of the rooms were the same size, so I’m not sure why Orbitz has different square footages listed. It is quite possible that I never got the room that I had booked on this website, but I was definitely charged for it.

Great place to base a girls' weekend!
Check-in was lovely. I reserved the room for myself and a friend. She arrived a day before me and, by calling ahead to make arrangements, she was able to check-in without me. That was soooo convenient and wonderful! Plus we enjoyed meeting other friends in the lobby and the rooftop bar. Very peaceful place to be after playing in the city all day. Great fun!
