The Bernic was cute, albeit a bit hard to locate. Unfortunately the shower in our room was broken, which we did not realize until the morning, about 2 hours before check out. My fiancé and I were getting ready for our engagement photos that morning, so we were in a bit of a rush. The hotel staff said they would “look into it” after we left. Not super helpful, I feel the one night stay was far too expensive to not have access to basic amenities. For this reason, I would not recommend The Bernic.

The Bernic will be my go-to for trips to NYC from here on out. The room was incredibly spacious for Manhattan and the bed was very comfortable. The location cannot be beat - within easy walking distance of the theater district and subway and bus lines, but far away enough from the noise and chaos of Times Square. The room was very clean and the in-room Nespresso machine and mini-fridge made it even more convenient. They also offer access to a full-service gym around the corner that was excellent! Really a perfect place to stay in Manhattan.

This was a clean and quaint property! The room was spacious and the balcony that came with it was a nice feature. There are no amenities and there’s no lounge space aside from the rooftop and restaurant so keep this in mind in case you arrive a bit early for check in, as you may need to go elsewhere in the meantime.
