If you are looking for a classic Midtown experience, you might be tempted by the Warwick’s storied history and central location. However, be warned: the "Old Hollywood" glamour has faded into a frustrating, high-priced exercise in patience.
For the premium price point, you can find significantly better accommodations in the immediate area. Here is a breakdown of why this stay missed the mark.
The Room Experience: Small & Tiny Cramped Quarters:The rooms are remarkably small, even by Manhattan standards. Navigating the space feels less like a luxury stay and more like a puzzle.
The Elevator Bottleneck: The elevators are tiny and slow. Expect to spend a significant portion of your morning waiting in the hallway just to get to the lobby.
Maintenance Woes: The infrastructure is struggling. In our case, the lighting was non-functional upon arrival—we literally had to wait for an electrician just to turn the lights on.
Service & Housekeeping Failures
While maintenance issues are an inconvenience, the housekeeping service was genuinely problematic.
