Main disappointment was that I left a garment in my room upon checkout. I called the next day and spoke twice with security (first person said they had found my items, second one was clueless four days later). I have left a message for the new hotel desk manager (three hours ago) and have yet to hear back. this doesn't include hangups and transfers to no where. Also, on a side note, how could the bar (a lovely place touted on their web site) run out of rye and proper stemware? And no snacks because the upstairs restaurant is closed -- for reasons unknown -- but it does make you wonder. Help!

The room was biggest than the kind of room that you can get in the area. The staff was friendly and very profesional, even the late night shift employee Rudy, who was very helpful and friendly: sometimes the night shift personnel isn’t customer service oriented. The bed was amazing... Definetely I totally recommend this hotel as one of the best on the area: subway 40 mts away, close to CP, Lincoln Center...

We had a good experience at the Empire Hotel. The lobby is welcoming and the mezzanine is a great place to meet and visit with friends, have a drink, or just relax. We had an upgraded room that was spacious and comfortable.

Disappointed by this hotel, I used to hit their rooftop bar back in the day and made the mistake of staying here. One good thing, my crappy room with a view into someone else’s room on the sameness floor wa s at least quiet!

One towel in room. Housekeeping never responds, bed hard as a brick, restaurant reservation not honored. Terrible.

I enjoyed my experience at the Empire, as always. The desk personnel were so helpful and friendly. They go out of the way to make sure your stay is all that! A perfect place to stay for those interested in the arts.

Excellent hotel, conveniently located next to Lincoln Center.

Great place and comfortable accommodations. I have been coming here since the 1980’s and it is still a great place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of museums and shopping

The Empire Hotel is stunning in appearance but fails to function well. Loud generator in light well, shower didn't work well, tv didn't work. The hotelier said he would comp the small bottle of wine I drank in the room since tv didn't work, but I was charged for it anyway. There are better hotels in NYC.

Room was good size and bed was very comfortable, so were the pillows. Unfortunately on day 2 and 3 room services did not replace all the towels or the floor mat as in the previous day. Also only one pair of slippers and bathrobe. Room with King size bed for two should really have supplied two. Also breakfast buffet was rather expensive at $28.

This hotel is right next to Lincoln Center and some very good restaurants. Buses and subway are close by. The rooms are okay but nothing special and wifi is only available for free in the lobby. The good news is Starbucks is right next door. I would probably not stay in this hotel again. It's expensive and there are hotels with better value not too far away. But, if you in town for performances at The Lincoln Center, this is an ideal location. Roof top bar is nice but expensive.

We stay at this hotel due to location, but have started to consider alternatives because a majority of the time, the room has trouble with Heat or AC. This has happened two or three times over the past 5 visits or so. It's not very convenient to be getting ready for sleep -- and needing to wait for maintenance to try and fix the problem.

Best service from the staff. Everyone was super friendly and genuinely nice!!!

This hotel was convenient for our stay in the area and had a Starbucks and pharmacy store in the same building just a few steps outside the front doors of the hotel. There are great restaurants across the street as well (Cafe Fiorella is a must for Italian). The hotel bathroom sliding glass door was missing so every time we showered, water poured into the floor. We notified hotel management and they said that they removed all of the glass doors because people would break them off the tracks and some domestic violence situations ended with broken glass doors. We found this very odd. The sink was overly caulked and barely connected to the wall. It was not centered and had pulled away from the wall. This hotel needs some work to bring it back up to 4-star standards. 3 stars at best.

Air conditioner could not be adjusted -- stuck and too cool. Electrical outlets near floor and behind furniture -- difficult to plug in chargers. Bathroom small, no vanity. Clothes rack and towel rack very high -- I am 5 feet 8 inches and had to stretch. Unusual charges: only tea or coffee from Keurig and charge of $3 for each K cup used. Internet access $12.96/day for each device. Perhaps standard in NYC but new to me.

Love this hotel, has a boutique hotel feeling which I love. The location is great as it is right by Columbus circle and Central Park. The staff from the moment we exited our car to leaving the hotel were so friendly. My only con would be rooms are a little small and bathroom is small, not much room to put things for ladies such as makeup and toiletries. Other than that love the hotel. Make sure to check out the rooftop! I will definitely be back.

Nice neighborhood. Roof bar is nice as is lobby bar. Room is not too bad for Manhattan. Loved the bed, very comfortable. Noise level Okay, once again, for Manhattan.

Elegant. Quiet. Clean. The front desk staff was superb.

Comfortable, convenient and close to Broadway and Times Square! Great Restaurant and Bar!

It was a wonderful location with perfect amenities. Love the decor and the helpfulness of the staff.
