A delightful, comfortable stay in the heart of Manhattan. The Empire Hotel’s location is unbeatable—nestled near Columbus Circle and the Upper West Side, it offers easy access to Central Park, Lincoln Center, and Broadway. The lobby is a visual treat, with striking artwork on the second floor and plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing or people-watching.
Our standard room was compact but manageable for two travelers. While the bathroom door handle was a bit finicky (closing it required a noisy bang), and the carpets showed some wear with a faint mustiness in the hallways, these were minor quirks in an otherwise pleasant experience.
What truly elevated our stay was the staff—bellhops, housekeeping, and front desk were all exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Having convenient access to the Empire Rooftop Hotel and Bar (with a reservation) was a bonus, offering a stylish spot to unwind above the city.
Overall, a solid choice for anyone seeking a central, character-rich hotel with great service and a touch of old New York flair.
