30 minute wait for a room. When I got it, 2 cleaning people were still in there cleaning. Refrigerator was missing a foot - and was wobbling. only 1 of 3 elevators working. LONG wait to go to or leave the room. TV had no cable service. The couch had a big stab mark/hole in the middle of it. The bathroom didn't look clean. I have stayed in other Element hotels before and loved them. This was very disappointing.

It has been about a month and my deposit has not been returned. Staff is not very friendly . Will never stay there again

So disappointed by our stay on Friday Sept. 8th, Room was insanely expensive on Orbitz, room was in disrepair, dirty, Dirty Boogers on the tiles in shower, Hairs on the walls around the sink... Elevator didn't work, which hotel informed us of, but still we were waiting for 20 minutes before we gave up and walked down 16 flights.... Check in was more than 30 minutes late, so frustrating after having had a good experience only a few weeks earlier... wont return.... orbitz, I rely on you for the lowest prices... quite a shock to see the room was more than doubled what was being charged by the hotel themselves... I will never use orbitz again as well...

I really enjoyed my trip to NYC the staff was very friendly. The room was standard but clean. I was disappointed that during our full trip the elevaters did not function. We were placed on the 37th floor and with only one elevator kind of working I had to take the stairs more then once. I did not intend to spend that much time in a stair well of my hotel.

Hotel is A Okay. Decent breakfast, clean room well mostly clean room. Bad part is one elevator is out and have been told now that it has been out for over 2 weeks. I had to take the stairs 3 times going down from the 17th floor which I can live with but my wife is unable to do that and therefore she sometimes waited as long as 20 minutes just to get out of the building. If it was not for that we had a pleasant stay.

Great extras - wifi, breakfast, happy hour; very "green". Comfortable room, nicely appointed. Bathroom could hsve been cleaner. Very helpful and attentive staff. Overall great experience and I would stay here again.

Elevator is terrible. I was on the 12th floor and actually only took the elevator ONCE. Good thing I'm fit! The elevator is unreliable and guests on each floor were waiting...and waiting...and waiting. Most gave up and took the stairs. I had my luggage with me one day and after over 10 minutes of waiting for the elevator, I took my luggage down 12 flights of stairs. Utterly ridiculous. Other than that, rooms are not bad. Hotel staff can be both wonderful and incredibly rude depending on who you get. A mixed bag.

I enjoyed my stay as long as I avoided the lobby.

Incredible customer service and great location. Check in guy and James the baggage handler are pros!

Very convenient place close to everything. The staff members are nice and friendly. Breakfast is super good. Room are clean appliances are new. The lobby needs improvement to make it the perfect place to stay

The moment I walked in I felt welcomed The gentlemen that took our Luggage Great crew

I've stayed here a couple times and highly recommend it for the service, location and ammenities.

Great hotel ! Exelent location staff was very helpful and very close to all major attractions!

The hotel was perfect! The room was clean, breakfast top notch and service was better than any we've experienced. The staff remembered my 7 yr old's name each time we came and left the hotel and would ask her about our trip and tell her how special she was. We would recommend this hotel time and time again to anyone who likes top service, modern stylish rooms at a great value.

Walking distance to everything you want to see. Had to pay $40 a day to park our car though. The hotel website didn't mention the parking situation at all.. silly me thought parking would be at the hotel.

Wonderful view wonderful area complimentary champagne nyc love

Work in manhattan every month. Never tried it. Forums the room clean and adequate. Decent size room and bathroom along with a kitchenette with furnishings and a dishwasher. Complementary breakfast was better stocked than any of the other 3star hotels I have stayed. Will be booking again next month.

Our room on 37th floor had a great view. Beds were plush and comfortable. Bathroom had the latest shower equipments. Breakfast is decent

The Element was a very comfortable and clean hotel. The breakfast was ample and good. The rooms were by New York standards--large. We had a small kitchenette that was great and we were able to have leftovers from a meal that we heated in the microwave. The only complaint was the elevators! We were on the 35th floor and each morning it was a 15-20 minute wait to try and get an elevator to stop on our floor. We WALKED DOWN 35 flights of stairs MORE than THREE times--just to get to breakfast each morning. So, stay at the Element--it was great, but don't stay on a higher floor!

Not in prime location. But hey! It is New York City. I found the element to be our private oasis. Literally! Walk in off the street to nice staff, hot coffee and tea at all hours and a very clean room. Small but hey, its the city! I would definitely stay here again. Free breakfast great bonus. Just two blocks from subway. Good choice!
