Let's face it, New York ain't cheap, and you get what you pay for. My expectations were not that high when I booked Courtyard by Marriott in Chelsea - we chose based mostly on location. But they were exceeded at every turn. First off, we arrived around 12:30 to drop off our bags. The clerk informed me that our room was ready and they'd be happy to check us in - even though the official check-in is not until 4pm. Public areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean. The hotel is reasonably secure and elevators work based on key cards. Personnel seem very sharp and alert and recognized us as we came and went. We chose a room with two double beds. It was reasonably appointed but not lavish. It was a nice oasis from the hustle and bustle of NYC. The bathroom was excellent - the shower stall appears newer, with great water pressure and a nice selection of soaps and shampoos. One caveat: the hotel is located across the street from a police station, so you may hear loud sirens at night. Still, it can be a blessing to have New York's finest so close at hand.

Great stay the only recommendation I have is to get all three elevators working. A little slow during peak hours with only two elevators working. But the excellent staff and great location allowed made up for it!

I've stayed in a few NYC hotels and this one was perfect! Very close to the Highline, the subway, and nearby restaurants. Trust me for NYC the rooms are quite big! We stayed in a room with a king bed and it was spacious enough for two. The hotel lobby has a nice, quick to go breakfast cafe and a 24 hour mini market. Mini-fridge in room was also clutch given that many NYC hotels don't have one.

This hotel was a short walk from the concert we were going to at Madison Square Garden. It was also clean and comfy but was lacking a few things. Breakfast was not included which would have been nice. The cable was horrible, with many channels scrambled. The room was very small (that may just be a NY thing though). And it annoyed me that my room wasn't available until the exact minute of check in time, even after I had went up to the desk two hours earlier. Other than that, if you're looking for a decent place to sleep near all the action, this is it.

Clean, great location, staff is very friendly and great overall stay. The only recommendation that I have is that the hotel improve the wifi signal somehow; access to free internet offered by the hotel was very slow, you could purchase upgrade to make it faster but a guest at a hotel shouldn't have to pay for usable access to wifi. Would definitely recommend.

When arriving without leaving with our Uber driver each time, there was no place to pull off of the road in front of the hotel. It is a bit dangerous since there is constant traffic there. there is also only a cafe and no in house restaurant. The hotel was very clean, with a great view and spacious accommodations .

Each one of the staff is extremely customer service focused offering friendly greetings and quick responses to any questions. Highly recommended to anyone traveling to the Manhattan area.

We had a good visit during our 6 night stay the only bad thing was our room had a connecting door to another room and we could hear everything next door.

What really helped was being on a high floor, with an open view. The room was a bit small, but very comfortable. The staff was low key, but also available. It was a great place to come back to, after a day out on the town.

Very accessible to everything, the room is nice and clean. The staff are very nice.I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

If you are going to the Garden it is a good location. Otherwise - not great.

We only stayed in the hotel one night, but it was enough to leave a good impression. Excellent location, close to everything. The room is small/but perfect size for a NY hotel, very clean and comfortable. Hotel is bigger than it looks like from the outside. Will definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel, excellent location. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were very clean. Loved the ambience.

This hotel was amazing for our family trip to NYC. The hotel is immaculately clean and having an easy breakfast place downstairs was amazing.

The location is perfect. Rooms are clean. But that big rooms, but enough for the money.

The location was very convenient. The room was billed as a king bed with a "twin" pull out chair. Which I thought would be perfect for our group of three girlfriends. However the "twin" pull out was tiny, not a true twin, and very uncomfortable. The actual bed was quite comfortable. If you are traveling as a couple and just need the one bed, then you will be fine. But don't count on a comfortable sleep on the pull out bed.

I'd rather take another hotel at lower rates with a more quite atmosphere. I was expecting a "how was your stay" question but the staff thought otherwise.

The staff was very nice. Location good. Near what we wanted to see (Times Sq). Very modern and clean. It was the most expensive of the hotels we stayed at and the room was much smaller than the other two hotels. I took my grandchildren to Chicago and Philadelphia first.and stayed at other brand hotels. The one in Philly had an indoor pool, a large room with separate living room and kitchenette and was a lot cheaper. The Courtyard was a very good value for NY though.

We came to NY for an event at MSG. This hotel was perfect for it.

We stayed at this hotel after seeing a Knicks game at MSG. The hotel is newly renovated and the staff was amazing. Very central location and only a block from MSG. I would stay here again. Only downside is room was a little small.

Dear valued guest, I want to thank you so much for choosing to stay with us, and for your important feedback. I know that being in New York, you will find a lot of congested areas due to traffic, or road construction, but is not constant, but I wan to reassure you that it is safe since right next door we have a NYPD precinct that keeps this area safe. I know not having a restaurant is challenging for us, but I hope you were able to enjoy one of the many recommendations the city has to offer. About there not being space available at front of the hotel, I will address it immediately since there should be at least 2-3 spaces for when our guests arrive. We hope that you enjoyed the rest of your stay with us and the staff service. Kind regards, Daniel A
