Overall, the staying in Chelsea Inn was good. The location is very centered (nearby restaurants, MTA stations, etc.). I just didn’t liked when having an accident in the linen sheets, you don’t have a housekeeper to change it because they have the Policy about asking for housekeeping service the night before. I think it was an excellent quality-price relation.

This property does not have an elevator. I think this something Orbitz should disclose in bold letters. The stairs are old and very steep. Definitely do not book a high floor if you don’t like climbing. Also no service after hours. No vending or ice. Basically no services at all. Rooms are very small. I don’t recommend sand would never stay there again

Chelsea Inn for the win!

This is my new favorite place to stay in NYC! The cost was amazing, as long as you don't need your room cleaned or room service. You take your own trash out and get your own towels, but I loved that. No elevator but we were only on the 3rd floor so it wasn't bad. I love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

The staff are so nice and understanding. Very good for someone who wants a quiet space in a busy city. I loved the low maintenance needed for the stay, I have no complaints. It was a quaint and cozy hotel, perfect for even a weekend stay.

I liked that it was easy to get to by subway and the neighborhood was nice. I gave my kids the bed and slept on the futon. It was horribly uncomfortable. The room was also right above a night club and was fairly noisy. If you stayed upstairs I suspect it would be much more quiet. I thought it was very clean and there was extra bedding to sleep on the futon. I liked that the room was not disturbed by maids during our stay. We had what we needed and were left alone. It was also nice that they held our luggage until 3:00 p.m. so we didnt have to pay for it when we wanted to explore the day we checked out. That was a life saver. The staff was very kind as well.

3 people in 1 bed and 1 couch, fridge and microwave included. The towel handle was loose and fell off, I emailed and within 10 minutes I had someone knocking on the door wanting to fix it. They said there wasnt a front desk but there was someone there for us from the normal 8-5 hours.

For the price I paid, I expected a tiny room. It was fine for me solo. Right in union square Chelsea. So central to all. My toilet handle wasn’t working and someone will have to fix but it was fine for me for a night. The noise and smell of weed from the street permeated all the way to my 5th floor room with a private bath, that was annoying, but I can’t fault the hotel for nyc noise and smell. The room was a fifth floor walkup, I got my steps in, but again I paid less than 200 bucks. It was very clean. Bed was comfy and clean. Staff wished me a nice day. It was like having my own tiny nyc studio in a 5th floor walkup. It was a solid deal for the price I got and I would definitely stay here again.

All well except that I was on the 4th floor and there was no elevator! It was late at night so the night guard kindly helped me with the luggage that first night of arrival! At departure I moved them down the stairs separately as I took them to nearby storage for the day so all worked well, but people with disabilities etc. beware the lack of elevators!
