The staff was great and the location was fantastic with being able to walk everywhere.
Great location. Close to everything, quiet at night. Clean hotel and rooms, comfortable beds. Great staff, friendly and helpful. Definitely stay there again!!!
I would have rated Luma 5 stars, but unfortunately there was an issue with the heat not working in our room on our second/last night of stay. Staff offered extra blankets, we didn’t want to argue with the hotel since we were leaving in the morning.

Location, staff, beds, and everything was amazing at this Times Square and Bryant Park gem. We will definitely stay here again for our next New York trip! We loved that it was close to so much writhing walking distance and also metro stops nearby too for farther adventures to other parts of NYC.
It was in a perfect location-walking distance to Bryant Park where there were great restaurants options. The building was very quiet. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again when we return to NYC!
Convenient
Our first night at the hotel, the AC did not work, and it was 87° during the day outside. None of us rest well and all woke up with a headache. The hotel offers free drinks at the bar every day, but there’s no water in the room for drinking. I called the front desk and asked about bottle water, and was told that it would cost seven dollars a bottle. So my husband had to leave the hotel and went across the street to CVS to buy three bottles of water at midnight . When I questioned the gas service person that why the hotel offer, free soda and alcoholic drinks to guests, but the hotel would not offer free water, got a really smart answer and said that’s our policy. Second day, our AC was fixed and the room temperature got a lot better. But in the middle of the night I started to smell really strong, smoking smell in our room. Not sure if, someone smoke in the hallway or in the building somehow the secondhand smoke smell got to our room. Overall, it was not a pleasant stay at all, but when we share that with the property staff, nothing was offered to accommodate our bad experience. Will not stay or recommend to anyone for this hotel .
Modern, sleek hotel in a great location. Typical NYC room sizes but two KING beds. Would absolutely stay here again.
The staff was wonderful and attentive. Made sure we had what we needed and nicely offered free printing. The area was terrific, Bryant Park, Whole Foods, Times Square and subway lines in close proximity. Quiet, small boutique hotel. Would stay there again.
If anybody plans on visiting NYC LUMA Hotel Times Square is an amazing hotel! They have provided excellent customer service the whole time and have good size rooms considering it’s in NYC. Also, it is very clean and updated! Honestly it’s at the top of my list for hotels we have stayed in and that’s saying a lot bc I’m extremely picky! It’s affordable and in the heart of time square! They have robots that deliver stuff to you and they have a restaurant and bar with complimentary sangrias (delicious) each night. Highly recommend! 💗
