Bentley Hotel

The staff could not have been nicer. The room was clean and comfortable. Many "upscale" amenities are in the room - though most come with a surcharge. View was lovely (East River & the Queensboro Bridge). The Upper East Side is more quiet than many other areas of Manhattan. Trains are about a 4 block hike through upscale neighborhoods. Only negative was a $75 "damage deposit fee". A full refund was given, but it seems rather unwelcoming. 4.5/5 stars

Great hotel with great views! Upgraded to a suite and it's totally worth it

The staff, facilities, room and view were all amazing. We had an issue with the heat, but the hotel fixed it. Quiet end of the street walkable to everything. Nicely updated with a cute little bar in the lobby.

The shower never got warm. The lighting is poor. When I tried to complain the staff wasn't interested. Look elsewhere.

Would stay here again due to location/proximity to family but would not come on a vacation. Room was large; furnishings and bathroom tired.

Would have been nice if they had breakfast . Lots of construction ambulance, was noisy

We have stayed in this hotel many times over several years and were very pleased with our accommodations. At our most recent stay, we found the hotel room to be clean and the staff to be pleasant. Unfortunately, the lobby was drab and in need of a make over. The furniture was worn out and some of the couches were torn. The furniture in our room was shabby and in need of replacement. While, there is free internet in the lobby, it is not free in the room. We found this to be an inconvenience and not acceptable. Most hotels offer free access in each room.

We arrived earlier than check-in time (around 1:00), so they held our luggage and took our number while we got a bite to eat nearby....which by the way, there are a lot of decent places to eat one block west on 1st Ave. While we were having lunch at the Ritz Diner (been there forever...great for bfast or lunch, not expensive), the front desk called and told us there was a room available now on a low floor, or would we prefer to wait for a room higher up. That was very nice to offer. The lobby is urban, industrial, chic. The room was well appointed, with very comfortable beds, all typical amenities of a good hotel, though was surprised that they charged for the coffee in the room...no matter...don't drink it. Bathroom is small, with little space for your things, but big enough...Overall we were very happy with our stay. Oh! One other thing. The battery in our safe was dead. Called the front desk, spoke to the manager, who agreed to lock our valuables in his office while we were out and the battery was replaced. Less than an hour later we returned to the hotel where they had replaced the battery AND cleaned the room already!

The hotel has excellent customer service from staff.

Staff very poorly trained. One of them was very unprofessional and rude, besides ignorant in her job. Sad, because the location has great views of the water and bridge.

AC did not work, room changed from riverview to cityview, parking payment did not charge, they charge for everything even water and coffee in the room, not easy to find taxi at this hotel

Bed was the best. Super cozy and the view was gorgeous! We got to check in early and have a nap which was great. We will be back soon :)

had a problem with dry cleaning but hotel staff dealt with it seemingly appropriately!

room nice and clean. nice view. Great location and nice staff

always a pleasure to stay at this Hotel. The internet is farmed out and can accommodate one device! I think that the access should be for the room and not one computer. My companion was not able to use her phone's wifi because of that. This is not a Hotel problem however I believe that a solution can/should be worked out with the provider in order to accommodate the client who pays much for the connection. I do and would recommend the Bentley to friends and family.

I had a horrible stay in the hotel. The next door neighbor brought a lot of people in the room to have a party, they were so loud and out of control (shouting and banging of the walls) in the middle of the morning. I had to call the FD 4 times yet they did not stop. I went down personally to the FD around 300am and wanted to move to a quiet room but FD was not even apologetic and did not care about my request to move he just told me i will call the authorities.

The rooms do not have enough electric outlets. I asked for an extension and was told repeatedly that I would get it but it never came! Still the Hotel is great and will stay again at the same location in a couple of weeks. The staff is very courteous and try to make your stay very pleasant. It is my favorite of the New York Hotels.

I stayed at this hotel PRIMARILY for the kosher steakhouse at this hotel. Not many kosher meat places are opened on Saturday nights after shabbat. I called this hotel before making my initial reservation to confirm the restaurant will be opened the next day on Saturday. They confirmed it will be open at 10pm. Great. I went online and booked my room asap. The next day when we arrived, i was told that the restaurant was closed for a private event. So i didnt have a birthday dinner. Thanks for ruining my birthday Bentley Hotel! And to top it all off, a random alarm clock in the room kept going off throughout the night. You guys are lucky i didnt throw it out the window

I just want to say it is the worst hotel in NYC. I do not like the staff in the front desk. One of them is so unresponsible. Also, the phone in my room was broken. I can't dial any number.
