Nice room with good space. Can hear noises from other rooms and outside.

Such a pleasure to stay here! Friendly staff, great room stocked with goodies such as robes and food and bar. Loved it!

Hotel is walking distance to MSKCC. The staff isn’t very friendly. The room aren’t maintained.

The hotel rooms aren’t new. There are maintenance issues. Hallways aren’t bright. Housekeeping doesn’t fill any of the stuff again.

It's a good thing the room was spacious enough to do other things, because sleeping in that lumpy, too-soft bed was impossible. Including earplugs with the toiletries was an appreciated touch. Supply this room with a new mattress and it would have been near perfect.

The staff was very helpful and friendly (Gabriela, et al.), however, we weren't real big on the actual room... in particular, the bathroom. The shower was the biggest issue: half of the shower was not covered by glass or curtain, getting water all over the floor, the toilet was right next to the door (which swung inward), so it was quiet difficult to close if you were already sitting. But again, the biggest issue was the shower. So much so that during or 3 night stay we only showered once. It just became too much of a hassle and we hated getting water all over the place. Luckily they stocked up on the towels, as we needed all but 2 to put on the ground. No free wi-fi unless you're in the lobby was a huge thumbs down. And we were on the 2nd floor (not recommended) and could hear EVERY horn, yell, and goings on outside, even with the ear plugs. If you're offered room 211, don't do it.

Although the interior of the hotel was somewhat dated , This was more than made up for by the friendly and courteous staff. It was raining outside and they offered us umbrellas one morning. The room was small but adequate

Staff was mostly nice. One lady was a bit unfriendly, but the rest of them made up for her.

The hotel is convenient . Restaraunts within walking didtant. Transportation easily accessible however pipes and air conditioner loud.

Location and staff of hotel was good. Need to fix extensions and electrical outlets. They were all too loose, made it hard to charge phones. Even nightstand clock and lamps, if they were slightly moved, they would come loose from extension. We had to ask for wash cloths, housekeeping would not replace after cleaning room for whatever reason. Shower leaked all over floor with half door, water ran along the sides of tub/wall/door on to floor when using shower head IN ANY POSITION. Only one light switch on wall of the three we found worked. Not sure if these problems were unique to our room or other rooms had same problems.

Loved this hotel! It wasn't too close to the city which was great for noise control and not being so crowded.

The staff could not have been nicer. The room was clean and comfortable. Many "upscale" amenities are in the room - though most come with a surcharge. View was lovely (East River & the Queensboro Bridge). The Upper East Side is more quiet than many other areas of Manhattan. Trains are about a 4 block hike through upscale neighborhoods. Only negative was a $75 "damage deposit fee". A full refund was given, but it seems rather unwelcoming. 4.5/5 stars

Great hotel with great views! Upgraded to a suite and it's totally worth it

The staff, facilities, room and view were all amazing. We had an issue with the heat, but the hotel fixed it. Quiet end of the street walkable to everything. Nicely updated with a cute little bar in the lobby.

The shower never got warm. The lighting is poor. When I tried to complain the staff wasn't interested. Look elsewhere.

Would stay here again due to location/proximity to family but would not come on a vacation. Room was large; furnishings and bathroom tired.

Would have been nice if they had breakfast . Lots of construction ambulance, was noisy

We have stayed in this hotel many times over several years and were very pleased with our accommodations. At our most recent stay, we found the hotel room to be clean and the staff to be pleasant. Unfortunately, the lobby was drab and in need of a make over. The furniture was worn out and some of the couches were torn. The furniture in our room was shabby and in need of replacement. While, there is free internet in the lobby, it is not free in the room. We found this to be an inconvenience and not acceptable. Most hotels offer free access in each room.

We arrived earlier than check-in time (around 1:00), so they held our luggage and took our number while we got a bite to eat nearby....which by the way, there are a lot of decent places to eat one block west on 1st Ave. While we were having lunch at the Ritz Diner (been there forever...great for bfast or lunch, not expensive), the front desk called and told us there was a room available now on a low floor, or would we prefer to wait for a room higher up. That was very nice to offer. The lobby is urban, industrial, chic. The room was well appointed, with very comfortable beds, all typical amenities of a good hotel, though was surprised that they charged for the coffee in the room...no matter...don't drink it. Bathroom is small, with little space for your things, but big enough...Overall we were very happy with our stay. Oh! One other thing. The battery in our safe was dead. Called the front desk, spoke to the manager, who agreed to lock our valuables in his office while we were out and the battery was replaced. Less than an hour later we returned to the hotel where they had replaced the battery AND cleaned the room already!
