The bellman (I think named Chris) was amazing and so nice/helpful. That being said, the room was definitely not what I’d except for how expensive this was. The bed was one of the worst and most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. I have a video of a bug in the sheets as well but I was so exhausted I didn’t feel like switching rooms and it flew away. The first morning all the lights came on by themselves at 7am and again at 10:15am so I was woken up. I did tell the front desk that. It was also so noisy. Not only with delivery trucks and outside noises but housekeeping every single morning was banging into walls and super loud too. They also show an outdoor space on their website and fail to mention the picture is a suite’s personal outdoor space. It’s completely false advertising. Overall it was over a thousand dollars for a place I wouldn’t stay at again.

The experience at this hotel was very disappointing and far from what was advertised. The photos on the website did not match reality. Our first room smelled strongly of weed, had a ceiling barely 2 meters high, and was practically windowless. When we asked to change rooms, we were shown two alternatives none of which matched the pictures online. I requested an upgrade or at least some form of compensation, but was told there was nothing available. When I mentioned to the front desk manager that the rooms didn’t match the online photos, I was met with a dismissive attitude and told, “Well, this is what you signed up for.” The new room we received had a gloomy, basement-like feeling the only small window was positioned so high up that all we could see were air conditioning units. The shower head was broken and sprayed water everywhere, and even after reporting it, no one came to fix it. It also took 10–15 minutes to get any hot water. The overall condition of the room was very poor: the walls were dirty and scratched, the furniture was worn, and we even found long black hairs on the bedsheets. The fridge wasn’t turned on, and when we asked about it, we were told it was “only for storage.” Another misleading detail — there is no public rooftop terrace as shown in the photos. It is only accessible to guests staying in suites. To make matters worse, we were given breakfast vouchers that the restaurant staff refused to accept. My family & I traveled to NYC for a few days & am so glad we stayed here. The location is amazing- walking distance to many attractions- and the neighborhood is very quaint & pretty quiet. The hotel itself was perfect. We had a decent view of the Brooklyn Bridge. The room itself was spotless. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The shower was one of my favorite things. It had a regular shower + a rain shower and the toiletries provided were top tier. We all loved it here and will absolutely stay next time we’re in town.

Only quibbles is lack of minibar and lack of in hotel dining on Mondays and Tuesdays. Also, for safety, the stairs between the elevators desperately need railings. I nearly fell twice. Having said that, this hotel offered the best service I have ever experienced at a hotel. Incredible staff. And the dining was exceptional. Lovely wine hour. It would be my first choice if I ever need to return to NYC.

Our most recent stay was excellent. Very pleasant staff. Great afternoon snack menu and drinks. Location to Pier 17 is superb. Our room is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is gorgeous. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and look forward to our next stay. Parking is a short block away and the hotel validates. Nice breakfast menu, avocado toast was delicious and the breakfast sandwich is also a good choice. The balcony view of the Brooklyn Bridge is special. Thank you to the staff that provided us with excellent service.

Filthy, filthy room. Not at all as represented. Chipped, crumbling dresser, filthy dresser handles, ripped and stained shower curtain, dirty night stands, ill-fitting door knobs, paint drippings. Staff and manager were nice and helpful. Had to check out early due to condition of room. Hotel manager made aware of problems and worked with us on a resolution and promised improvement.
