Wonderful style. lifted from a bygone era. Beautiful bars, excellent dining. Impeccable service. Perfect location for enjoying all NYC has to offer. Impressive to friends, clients who pay a call. On business, throughout a trip I send e-mails to confirm/follow-up appointments. (Not talking about exchanging big files). After-the-fact I learned the no-additional-cost WiFi was inadequate. Connection came and went, error messages. Wasted much-needed re-setting, re-sending, keeping devices connected, wondering what messages had reached destination or didn't, whether or not inbound messages had made it through. In this respect, a return to the 1990s. Make allowance for this hotel having been constructed long before internet age (hence much charm and comfort) but in today's world even a basic "free" connection needs to be fairly strong and continuous.

Hotel was great, cannot find a better location ! Staff was helpful . Only problem is information provided to guests re: hotel policies . I was charged $40 for a coffee when full continental breakfast was only $26 ! The person taking my order did not offer me the choice nor advice .

We had some hiccups when we arrived as our room was not ready but they put us up in another room until they got our ready. The staff is unbelievably helpful and attentive and very friendly. This is the place to go to be pampered.

The staff were friendly and helpful, getting us a room 5 hours before our check in. The little things were done right: you can turn off the room lights right from the bed, the shower seals perfectly keeping it warm, the HDTV is actually HD, the elevators are fast and responsive. My only knock against this place is the food (even breakfast) is expensive, but you are staying at 5 star hotel in NY, so it's kind of expected.

Over priced for what you get. Rooms are adequate and clean but not anywhere close to what you expect from the description in the advertising and the pricing. Seating is limited because the rooms are on the small side. The best thing going for this hotel is location.

The Pierre was just right! The room was great, the hotel is beautiful, the staff were all helpful and pleasant and the location is the best.

This hotel is located in the perfect area to shop, see shows or go to fabulous restaurants. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are spacious for New York. Highly recommend it for the discriminating traveler.

Hotel was very nice but Front Desk staff missed the mark. I expected much more from this class of hotel. Examples: Friend called to have champagne and fruit delivered to our room. He was told that the hotel had already sent up wine and fruit so would be overkill. All that was actually delivered was 3 pieces of fruit with a note from my fried. He was VERY embarrased. On checkin, they took credit card for incidentals but neglected to process so I ended up getting a letter under my door indicating a payment problem. VERY upsetting. Due to this process issue, front desk wanted to send up bottle of our favourite wine, but instead of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay was delivered which we do not care for. Lastly, they graciously agreed to late chekout but neglected to mention that they could not update their computer system, so we returned from our activity hot and sweaty and couldn't get into our room --- and minutes earlier I had been at the front desk delivering a thank you gift to the staff. We still had a good time but Front Desk staff is just not on the ball the way they should be at this level of hotel.

Base for visiting our son in Murray Hill. Great for shopping. Room was great, service very good. Super.

STAYING AT THE PIERRE WAS A DREAM COME TRUE. NEVER HAD BETTER SERVICE AT ANY HOTEL IN USA OR ANYWHERE IN EUROPE. SPENT 4 NIGHTS THERE WITH GROWN CHILDREN AND THEIR WIVES. CELEBRATED MY 60TH AND MY DAUGHTERS 31. WE WERE THERE OVER NEW YEAR'S AND WE ALL HAD WHITE CHOCOLATE TOWERS WITH HAPPY NEW YEAR ON IT WHEN WE GOT HOME THAT EVENING. [...]MADE IT POSSIBLE TO STAY AT A 5 STAR HOTEL FOR A 4 STAR PRICE.

You can't do New York without style. The Pierre Hotel the epitomy of that. Its elegance and the top service beat everything else I know in the city, particularly the unsettling vastness of the Plaza, which is across the street. The rooms are gorgeous and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The Concierge staff is superb; they were very responsive to all our needs and organized dinners and other outings in the most effective way.

From the moment I arrived to the time I left, service was 5 star. The entire staff exceeded my expectations. The room was spotless and spectacular. Will definatley stay again. Due to a late departing flight, they allowed me a late checkout of 4pm !! Wonderful. My New York favorite hotels are the Mandarin Oriental, Four Seasons, The London and the New York Palace... If you like any of those, you will LOVE the Pierre.

Great experience! They even have an elevator operator...AWESOME!!!

The location could not be better! Friendly staff except for the concierge desk. Always busy and not so helpful. Also the room service takes forever. 10-20 min. Later than the longest promised time. But excellent park view room! Shopping at high end boutiques and department stores etc. I think ours was a comedy of errors but did expect more for the money.also close to theaters.

Excellent staff throughout the Hotel. We could not have been more pleased with the service and the room. Sunday breakfast was delicious. Right on 5th Avenue and across from Central Park. This was our first visit to NYC and we will be back to stay at The Pierre very soon. The people of NYC were very helpful. Our entire visit was outstanding.

One of the best hotel experiences in NY. Great staff, lovely hotel, real character, and an unbeatable location. Highly recommend, if you are seeking a 5 star with old world first class experience.

I think we initially got the "[...] special" room...the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in a 5 star hotel.. Fortunately, we spoke up and were moved to a larger room for the rest of our stay.

Wonderful experience, made even better by discount at the newly-done, club/light lunch/tea/drinks area Two-E! Entire staff highly attentive; smiles and graciousness all around. Only one run-in with front desk over access to Business Center on a Sunday am marred this otherwise perfect vacation experience. Would return in a heart-beat--close to everywhere you want to be in NYC, or at least proximate to subways/taxis to make transportation happen quickly.

The hotel was really nice in all respects.

Nice location,great hospitality.
