I booked this hotel because it had a pool. I was traveling with teenagers who really wanted to swim during their trip and that is the main reason I booked this hotel. Upon arrival we were told the pool was shut down for renovations. No where on their website did it mention this probably because they would loose customers but unfair to the customers who were looking forward to it. I got a sorry for my surprise and nothing else. Not happy with that especially because I had other options. If you pool is shut down should state that in your website when that’s a selling point of your facility.

Location was great, room was spacious. Decor was a little dated, Room was dirty - cleaning rag left behind. Cleaning staff did not leave washcloths, had to request. Room keys kept deactivating.

The property is really not showing that well. Water stains on the carpets and areas of the ceiling are open. The amenities are not what it states on the website-for instance the pool is not available. The wet bars are broken so they have been locked. No ice machines on the floors as they broke too I guess. The staff there could not be nicer though working through many issues.

First the good points. Location is excellent and within walking distance of Central Park, Radio City, Times Square etc. The bad points are numerous. First, I was charged $38 per night for use of facilities such as wifi which is free at most hotels. On top of that, the wifi reception was spotty. Also, the room was cold even though I had the thermostat set to 73. In addition, The bathtub pooled water after showers due to a slow drain. There is a popular breakfast spot located in the hotel whih is highly rated called Norma's but the prices are outrageous. Virtually every main menu was $30. Add coffee and juice etc. and the price including taxes and tip can easily reach $50. Now I would pay that for a lavish breakfast buffet but this was just your basic fancy french toast, coffee, and juice.. On the plus side there is a burger joint located off the main lobby behind a curtain that serves a decent burger at a reasonable (For NY) price. And across the street is a Starbucks that opens at 5:30 AM which is great for early risers like me. Overall, if you are looking for a truly luxury hotel this does not measure up. I have stayed numerous times for work at various Hampton Inn's and they were all superior to the Parker.

Location and staff was great, the entrance was very appealing

When we arrived at our room, it wasn't ready. Housekeeping was still in there, so after about a 20 minute wait we were given a different room on a different floor that wasn't newly renovated. It was old and tired looking. It also was very hot without any way of controlling the heat and not even a refrigerator to keep cold drinks in the room.

Too bad roof top pool is closed for renovations- such a nice view of the city

Hotel staff was nice. The room itself was clean and modern. Great view of Central Park.

Loved everything - the location, the place was gorgeous - we even got upgraded with a junior suite!!!had lots of room!!!

This is a great hotel - centrally located, decent sized room, clean and the staff were extremely helpful and kind. My only complaint is that the air conditioning wasn't all that strong. We set the temperature as low as it could go, and it was still slightly uncomfortable. It was over 100 degrees F outside, so keeping cool was a challenge everywhere. That said, the AC did not seem very strong in the room.
