really great place!
I’m sure there are a lot of nice rooms in this hotel, mine however was not one of them. I paid extra for king with a nice city view and a terrace. From the room, my view was another building that looked incredibly run down. The terrace was covered in construction materials, metal beams, and wooden boards. It was also littered with garbage, beer cans, cigarettes and joints. It wasn’t until you got to the very end of the terrace that you had a sliver of a city view, mostly obstructed by more metal beams. Inside, the bed looked like the sheets hadn’t even been changed as they were wrinkled, the reading light was broken and hanging by a wire. The shower was nice however the handle to change the temperature was sitting on the floor. When speaking to the staff about this, at the front desk, they were relatively condescending and basically said it’s too late now, here’s a small credit to our bar, there’s nothing we can do. I booked this months in advance for my girlfriends birthday, I was embarrassing and felt terrible as this was such a disgusting room and disappointment overall. The only positive experience in the hotel was with the bar, as that area was nice and the staff in there was incredibly friendly. I will not be going back to Arlo. I hope your stays are better than mine was.
I've stayed a number of times and will continue. Can't beat the location
Couple staff was courteous and sweet. Alex was nice. Rooms are small. No table in our room. No microwave. Small fridge, just enough for maybe 10 soda cans. Don't bring a large luggage, it will not fit. Our room was given away because we didn't check in on time. You do know it NY right? Construction season, lots of street closure & detours for little rally, no parking, Beyonce's concert, traffic was horrible. They won't take payments on the phone to check in. They said have to be face to face. Someone stuck in elevator, we had to call it in to corporate office because front wasn't answering phone. We came back an hour later, the guy was still stuck in the elevator. The valet guys was nice. Still cool to experience boutique hotels, but I think we'll stick to commercial hotels.
Bathroom shower leaked outside, cause the floor to be soaked.
Very cool vibe and had all the amenities you could want.
Fantastic staff. Clean room. Nice and quiet. Would definitely stay again.
Great location and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
Stunning view in our 19th floor corner room! Thank you for that! Upon arrival, we were greeted and checked in within a few moments. I was taken back by some additional charges not expressed on Orbitz price description of the property. But nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to hotels located in major metros! The roof too bar was closed during our stay but the lobby bar more than made up for it with the attentive staff, and great drinks! Rooms were clean, bathroom was spacious and the lobby was clean even during minor renovations. Be aware that just around the corner, you will find a dispensary so marijuana smoke will be smelt within a block of the hotel. But nyc does allow for recreational use so it’s something you get use to very quickly if you are a tourist. On that same note, food options within a block of the hotel are incredible! Easy walks to major train hub, couldn’t of asked for a better location and hotel. We are already planning our next trip back
Great staff, very clean and great place. The elevator is so unique and fantastic. You will not be disappointed staying here
Staff was great. Room with terrace and fabulous view. Only negative was no coffee.
Clean, great view. Friendly staff! Felt safe the whole time
