Four Seasons Hotel New York5.0 out of 5.0

Get a tall floor, the windows are big and you overlook the city. Bvlgari shampoos and soaps with their unique scent, the bathtub fills up very quickly and is very restful. Concierge is always nice and breakfast is ample. Don't see any reason why I wouldn't recommend this.
For convenience, service and style, the 4 seasons is hard to beat and as a business customer I've enjoyed this hotel on and off for a long time. More recently I've become acclimatised to a more conveniently located, slightly less expensive, 5 star mid town hotel which has a nice friendly and busy vibe, but on my most recent trip this was full for my dates so I was happy to revisit 4 seasons. I have to say, though, I was underwhelmed. Staff friendly, accommodating, and solicitous but the hotel seemed to me to lack a certain warmth. There's been work done to the interior entrance, restaurant and bar. But It feels dark impersonal and foreboding, like a Tim Burton Batman movie. I had to use my iPhone torch to select a glass of wine from the menu. My secretary made a booking via a booking agency, so not directly, and on arrival I distinctly felt treated like a second class citizen in terms of room allocation, being assigned to a perfectly ok room on a lower floor but with no obvious view (one of the pluses of staying at the hotel). Breakfast Menu poorly configured and expensive, gym disappointing. And a last bugbear of mine , 5 star hotels with air conditioning in the summer really should provide plenty of free bottled water as a matter of course. This was grudging. Still a very nice hotel, but not outstanding. An anti-climax. Complacent, It needs to work harder
I've reviewed a number of 5* hotels in NYC and finally, I have found my NYC home. The junior corner suite (Gotham) was light, bright, well equipped and beautifully decorated. (A bit scandi 80s but light bright and clean) What sets the Four Seasons apart is the service. Each member of staff provided exemplary service - efficiently and accurately and politely delivered. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were fabulous value for the quality, the food and beverage is desperately expensive, but you have other options if you set food outside the hotel. Expect no more reviews of NYC 5* hotels until I try out the currently being renovated Waldorf. This place is officially NY home.
There are few if any properties around the globe and in the USA that match the service that this property and its staff deliver. This is the place to stay if you want to experience the best service in the world!!!
I have always been a big fan of the four seasons hotel in hing kong. Not only am I a member of the spa I also spend most of days there. I naturally have a vey high expectation of the four seasons no matter where they are located. Other words, I planned my New York City summer vacation with my daughter staying in hotel. However, I was beyond disappointed.
We often stay at the Four Seasons. It is a wonderful hotel. The hotel has a remarkable staff. We don't come often enough to matter to them, but they make us feel like we are royalty. (They remember our dogs who haven't seen them in over two years.) We love the modernization they've done. We love the location. Mostly we love the staff and the service.
Great location, walking distance with lots of resteraunts, shops and attractions. The only con would be that the rooms were smaller than expected, but very clean! We would stay again again for our next visit
The staff at this property is so attentive. Extremely professional. Everything was perfect. Even the time I requested my coffee in the morning. The door men recognize you right away. Feels like a better version of home.
The beautiful corner room offered a perfect view uptown and west. Well appointed with a sofa and desk, the accommodation was perfect for breaks between business meetings. The front desk staff, bellmen and front door staff provided every courtesy and assistance to make 3 days in the city productive, comfortable and enjoyable.
Not coming back due to a super low quality of service from the guest relations manager. Michele was by far the most unprofessional hotel services personelle I have ever encountered in my years of travel and luxury hotel stays.
