Gild Hall, A Thompson Hotel

The hotel is really elegant with a touch of fashion. The rooms are with a lot of comfort . It's a pity they knocked the door twice to clean the room, early in the morning the first day .

Wow. This place is easily my favorite hotel in the city. I've gone to the city plenty of times, and this has to be the most spacious one I've been to that's affordable. it's just a tad more expensive than others but you can see how. We stayed in a kingsized-bed room. high ceilings, big screen TV, Bluetooth speaker, ambient lighting, large shower, great lighting, body mirror, vanity mirror.. good view. It's also a 5 min walk to the 9/11 memorial.. 15 min walk from the Brooklyn bridge. It's also very close to the subway stations. The only thing I would say is that they had to bring us a space heater cause the room heater wasn't working as well but it worked after. Also, there's no microwave.. not a big deal for me at all. Other than that, best hotel experience for me :)

Quick stay in the city with the kids and this hotel met all our needs. The staff couldn't be more accommodating! No complaints just alittle tight with 3 teenage kids and myself in one room but overall we were comfortable! Highly recommend this hotel for this part of lower Manhattan:)

this is a gem for meetings downtown near Wall Street.

The girls who were working at the desk were young and gave me a terriblely small room after spending over 400.

I was stock in NYC due to a winter storm and my previous hotel was sold out. I liked the Gild Hall website look, and decided to check it out. it was an amazing place. Great in-room dinning with great service and food.

We came to NYC to see an NFL game and Broadway. Where we stayed in Manhattan wasn't as important as the price and how it was reviewed online. Gild Hall had good reviews and was coming up on the low side price wise for Manhattan hotels. The staff was great and accommodating. The room wasn't huge (NY hotels aren't), but nice and clean. I would stay here again.

Cute, hip place with great service. We were rushed and didn't have time to try out the bar but it looked great.

We got to the hotel a couple hours before check-in and were pleased to find out the room was ready! The room (King Superior) was definitely smaller than we're used to in the midwest, but was adequate and probably spacious for NYC. The hotel itself was very nice, although we didn't stop for a drink - the hotel bar looked really cool. There were a couple wedding groups having drinks when we checked in... they seemed to be having a good time. All in all, for the value - we'd definitely stay again. The location was really convenient, staff friendly and rooms were really nice - just be prepared they are NYC rooms, not Indiana-size rooms...

This was a lovely boutique hotel very convenient for lower Manhattan, and close to plenty of transit elsewhere. Highly recommended.

The hotel staff was very kind and extremely helpful. From the lobby to the hotel room, it was very clean. I will be back in NY at the end of August and would live to stay At the Gild Hall again, but it's very expensive so u might need to look elsewhere.

We needed a place to crash after a night on the town and got more than we bargained for. The hotel is super nice and comfy. Staff was helpful and welcoming. Would stay again.

Very nice place to stay, our family likes it a lot, even my 4 year old daughter.

The staff are friendly and the location is OK. Rooms actually reasonably roomy and the amenities not terrible. I'd probably not stay here again but in an emergency at the price we paid, I would.

We have stayed at thhis hotel a number of times. We love the location in the Financial District- simple transportation anywhere on the island, easy walks to stores and restaurants, as well as to Battery Park and the water. Rooms are large for NY and very comfortable, staff was very accommodating and friendly. Would return happily.

This hotel is located in the heart of the fianncial district. A drawback is that it is a long and expensive cabride to get to midtown for any tourist activities. The hotel is quiet and fine for the business traveler. Ice machines are only locate don three of the 14 floors so be prepared for elevator rides.

Right around corner from my office. Stayed here for comfort after concert in Brooklyn

Pleasant. Room service needs to be better. Did not deliver breakfast on my last day. Also too much salt not enough sugar. They seemed to serve salt with everything even coffee. No coffee pot in the room either. The house wine was just ok.

Pretty good - although there was a bunch of furniture in the hallway leading to our room, and the public restrooms for the restaurant could have been more clean. Things you don't expect at a relatively upscale boutique hotel.

I don't know who decided on glass see-though bathroom doors but I feel it very undesirable, especially when we had visitors. There was no top sheet on the bedding. I like something between me & the comforter the guy last night slept under. Also, the room needs a comfortable sitting chair in the corner with a small ottoman or table of sorts. There's only 1 chair at the dresser and I was forced to eat on the bed. I expected the quality to match a Marriott or Hilton in which this hotel fell short.
