Staff was super, breakfast was above average for hotel breakfast, although sometimes hard to get a table to sit. Interior of the rooms needs a serious update. Carpet old, mattresses saggy, burn mark on a piece of furniture. Bathroom seems updated, but water pressure and hot water affected by nearby use. Lobby chairs need replacing too. A bit of investment and it would be great. Location was super.

Sijainti oli hyvä, lyhyt kävelymatka metroasemalle. Hieno näkymä huoneen ikkunasta Empire State Buildingille, upea iltavalaistuksessa. Hyvä ilmastointi joskin vähän kovaääninen. Vuoteet oli kapeahkoja kahden nukkua, etenkin kun patjan reunat oli istuttu linttaan, meinasi nukkuessa kierähtää pois sängyltä. Sängyssä vain yksi tuplapeitto, piti pyytää toiselle nukkujalle oma, sille ei kyllä saatu lakanaa pyynnöistä huolimatta. Neljälle hengelle ahdas huone, ei tilaa matkalaukuille. Jääkaappia ei ollut, se olisi ollut plussaa. Huoneessa ei ollut mitään vaatekoukkuja takeille tai repuille. Vaatekaappi henkareineen oli kyllä, myös silitysrauta ja -lauta. Kylpyhuone oli reilun kokoinen, hyvät shampoot, hoitoaineet, bodywashit ja käsisaippuat sekä vartalovoide. Aamupala ok, mutta leipä oli vain vaaleaa, eikä mitään leivänpäällisiä. Ei esim. juustoa, kinkkua, mitään kasviksia ei ollut. Munakas/omeletit olivat hyviä, toisina päivinä oli vaihtelevasti pekonia/kalkkunamakkaraa tms. Aamupalan kaikki tarjoiluastiat ja aterimet olivat kertakäyttöisiä ja atetimet pakattu yksitellen muoviin. Tuli paljon roskaa. Kahvia sai hakea aamupalahuoneen koneesta milloin vain. Oli hyvä kahvi, kone jauhoi pavut siinä tuoreeltaan. Respan henkilökunta oli tosi kiireisiä ja ehkä siksi vähän yrmeitä. Aamupalahuoneessa ihana iloinen herra hoiti pöytien siivoukset, hän oli ilopilkku aamuun!

The room was clean, the staff were friendly enough. Breakfast was typical of Holiday Express. The down sides - Furniture is VERY warn to the point that it gave an initial vibe of being unclean until you realized it was just thread bare and in great need of updating. If you are looking for somewhere clean - not a bad option. The location was ok but I think it was a noisier part of the city. I have stayed by Penn Station before and that was quieter. It is close to all the hyped tourist spots so we enjoyed that.

Free breakfast was great during our stay, many options to choose from. The hotel is a bit dated but clean. Some things didn’t work like all but one ice machine in the building were out of order and a couple of the lights in our room but not a big deal. Was very close to walking around midtown and the sights.
