Staff was friendly. Place is well kept, housekeeping also helpful. Only thing I did not care for was not being to control the thermostat. The room was cold when we arrived and had to get help from front desk to get it changed. This was only a minor inconvenience. Everything else was great!

We loved the ambiance of this classy retro hotel. Would love to have more access to the wonderfully cozy spaces, restaurants and bars in the building. The hotel room had all of the essential elements for a comfortable stay. Every nook and cranny had a handy storage space or a helpful plug. We will be back.

Numerous rooms are currently unheated because of a problem with their heating system. The thermostat just flashes an error code, and the rooms are frigid cold. Management admitted that the problem is major and impacts a number of rooms, yet they continue to attempt to rent them out without warning the guests. I cut my stay short and moved hotels. The way I was treated was appalling, but the fact that they keep on doing it to other guests is what’s truly unacceptable. I’ve stayed at the Freehand in LA and it was great, but AVOID THIS ONE. It’s absolute garbage
