Great location, rooms are nice but small (not unusual for rooms in the area)

Room was quite small, but spent most of my time outside anyway.

Lobby is attractive but room was tiny and showing its age. Bar lacks character... breakfast options poor. Have stayed at Paramount many times over the years and have always had a good experience— great location. Housekeeper was very nice — greeted us in hall whenever he saw us.

Fantastic. Great people. All friendly and very helpful in every way. We will certainly return!!!

Hotel advertises a cafe and restaurant on site however both have been closed as of my visit in late 2018. Hotel has excellent atmosphere and lighting upon entering the facilities and check in was quick and easy.

Hotel lobby was so dark I couldn't see the bag in my hand. 12 minute wait to check in, only about 3 ahead of me. Hotel check-in was disruptive, clerk was speaking to someone else while I was trying to check in. When I asked if I could have a room with a bathtub, the clerk shrugged and said I don't know if the room has one or not. Room was clean but very shabby with holes/stains on carpet. Furnishings were very sparse, no clock on nightstand, and after finding drawers in closet, the drawers could only be opened so far and then they hit the ironing board. Shirts did not have enough room to hang. Bathroom was so small I could barefy fit in it let alone a bathtub. When I went to use shower the hot water was gone after 5 minutes.

Great location, great room, great housekeeping. The only complaint I have is when I called the front desk to find out about internet access, the lady who I spoke with was not very friendly.

I am telling everyone I know not to set foot in that place. The lobby and hallways are very dark, and with little security at the elevators, you had no idea who was on the elevator with you. The entire bathroom flooded every time I took a shower. The door would not lock behind me when I left the room; a technician tried to fix it but didn't, and I had to figure it out myself. The wall sockets were so badly installed that the plug from my iPhone kept slipping out. Same for my friend's room next door. Impossible to manage the room temperature. The housekeeper ran out of washcloths one day, and the next, dropped a bottle of makeup on to the steel sink and the bottom broke off. I came back to find the bottle turned upside-down on the bathroom shelf with the remainder of the bottle on the shelf next to it. With no food services at all (except the tiniest snack shop I've ever seen and nothing to drink), an inexpensive coffee maker would have been a nice luxury. Only one ice machine in the entire place. The cable system worked but without a PBS channel. The only benefit is the location, but it's not worth the downside. Absolutely awful.

Location is great! In the middle of everything! Close to subways. Lobby is beautiful, the rooms were ok. Lobby may have set my expectations up for a better room. Nothing was wrong with the room, standard room for NYC, but I felt the 1st impression of the hotel, was not quite the same as the impression once entering the room. Again, nothing negative, and I would stay here again without question.

This hotel has shabby, dirty rooms. I looked at three rooms upon check-in, and all were improperly cleaned and well-worn. The hotel states that it is 4 stars when it's actually only 2. There is no functional furniture in the rooms and no desks upon which to set up a computer. The only outlets in the rooms are in the bed headboards which is impractical and annoying, and the wifi was incredible slow. Both the concierge and front desk did not answer the phone after several attemps one day. Each room comes with only 2 small drawers inside the closet and the bathrooms are cramp and lack adequate shelving. In some hallways, the wallpaper was pealing off the walls. To be fully disclosive, the hotel did comp my first night and wave the mandatory $34 facilities fee this hotel charges to each room everyday, and did move me to a room in better condition to make up for the lack of cleanliness and shabbiness associated with the rooms in which I was originally placed. However, many of the above issues are inexcusable, and could have easily been addressed with better maintenance and housekeeping. I'm very disappointed that Expedia/Orbitz is marketing this hotel, and doesn't seem to be aware of the issues with this property. Staying in this hotel really detracted from my trip.

steps from times square, modern lobby, smaller rooms but expected for times sqare, beds and pillows 0were very comfy, towels are not soft, AC worked well and was easily adjustable, room was clean, took the staff 45 mins to bring a toothbrush and extra towel. Get some pizza from next door. Its delish

The rooms are extremely small and stark/ sterile white. The bed faced the window, which made it hard to sleep. The lobby to the hotel is very dark, reminded me of an old cigar bar from the movies. For safety purposes, hotels normally assign female guests closer to the elevator. This is the first hotel that put me at the end of a long hallway.

The air conditioning didn’t work for beans and so while the hotel had a nice lobby and was ok for the rate we paid, the extremely tiny NYC sized hotel room was a sweatbox and not great because of it.

I like it rooms clean staff really friendly i choose it again if i gi back to ny for sure:)

Desk personal very cold and impersonal. Didn't like being asked to show my room key as soon as I.was getting off the elevator first thing in the morning. Would have understood if I'm trying to get into the elevators for.safety, but was getting off, obviously coming from MY room!

Only 2 things I did not like: No coffee in the room Cable did not work for most of our stay
