The only keeping this from being a 5 star review is that the air conditioning in our room was horrible. The hallways and common areas were nice and cool, but our room never got cool at all.

My reservation couldn’t be found initially and I had to wait two hours to get the issue resolved. Not sure if Orbitz’s fault or Sheraton’s but I was inconvenienced and not upgraded or offered any kind of compensation other than free breakfast and I couldn’t get into restaurant for breakfast as the line was going outside the restaurant and I didn’t want to wait.

Louie Pachero provided the most outstanding service Ive experienced at a hotel in decades. Sheraton is lucky to have such a poised & professional gentleman. He went out of his way to ensure every detail was sorted, particularly when I had ripped a hernia. If having “home away from home” support is how you define a good hotel experience, particularly in a hectic & unforgiving city like NYC, Louie and the Sheraton staff exemplify pure hospitality from a bygone era.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks. The hotel was very busy for the whole time we were there. They charge $30 tax destination fee and in return you can spend up to $30 in their restaurants. But be careful and check your bill as they did not return the full credit - this happened multiple times. On the positive it is a great location near Times Square.

We had a great stay. There were a lot of large groups that stayed at this hotel but it did not disturb us. I was disappointed that they charged me to give me the room early as they have never done that before. They used to be very understanding about people traveling from the west coast wanting the room a bit early. I did get my room early but I had to pay extra. Otherwise everything was great.

We chose the Sheraton because it was supposedly pet friendly. Upon arrival we were informed we couldn't leave our dog alone in the room. That defeats the purpose of being a pet friendly property. Will never stay at a Sheraton because of that ridiculous policy.
