Best Western Premier Herald Square

Hotel is close to Times Square and the subway. The staff was excellent. They were very helpful with bags, directions, and cabs. The room was very clean. Breakfast selections were good. If they had some mixed fruit, it would have been better plus the coffee tasted bitter some days. Overall, any excellent choice for touring Manhattan.

Very centrally located - could walk to Central Park and to Battery Park, very clean and comfortable beds and pillows in the room nice patio outside the hotel great breakfast choices-eggs pancakes breakfast burritos sausage cereal yogurt and all types of bagels and pasteries

Perfect location for Madison Square Garden events.

Smaller but well appointed quiet, clean and comfortable room. Superb mid-town location. Wonderful staff.

Close to everything and subway. Room was small but that was to be expected. Our heat wouldn't stay on but when it was, marijuana and cigarette smoke came in it. Staff was nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Good, small NYC hotel. Breakfast adequate. Hot dishes--eh! Staff very nice.

I had a really good experience. The first night I did ask for an extra blanket was told someone would bring it up, but I never received it. I wanted to conserve some energy by not turning up the heat and I had to. Other than that everyone was friendly and helpful! The bartender was GREAT! 🤗

Everything was great until I encountered the front desk agent at about 6 am Wednesday morning. She looked like she was disgusted for being at work. That was a brief moment but overall the stay was excellent.

I have found Best Western hotels to be a reasonable compromise between affordability and quality. I found this to be reasonably priced (at the rate I paid for one night, including WiFi and free breakfast). But having stayed at a Berlin BW Premier I have to say this is not worthy of the Premier tag. Very courteous front desk and wait staff at breakfast. Hotel bed was clean and comfortable as was the bath. The pillows were a little too fat for my comfort but not lumpy. I would stay here again. IMRAN

Everything was excellent. Complimentary breakfast is a nice benefit. Logistics of breakfast and quality of breakfast could probably be improved without much expense.

Obviously it’s NYC and We weren’t expecting a huge room but we were expecting a little more comfort. The beds were terribly hard and it took all night to get comfortable. By the time we got comfortable we had to get up. It was like sleeping on a bed of bricks. Other than that it’s a great location from Penn Station and we normally take the subway every where but it was nice to be able to walk most of every where we wanted to go.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Was nice, hotel was clean and the breakfast was yum. The room was NY sized but comfy. As a small hotel - 6 rooms per floor - plan your morning departure. Having to wait for a while for the elevator during certain times resulted in having to use the stairs. Would definitely stay again. The hotel was a few blocks from Herald Square, not far from Times Square and Grand Central Station.

I expected a 4+star hotel but it was 3-. No room service at all. The location is very inconvenient.

A very nice hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good - not great. Rooms were tight for two people, but would benefit greatly by adding a small refrigerator - even a small microwave. Or at least a microwave on each floor. Great shower - and for once, it did not leak all over the floor. Cable TV service was unpredictable - in and out. I would consider staying again - but it will not be at the top of my list.

Overall all went well. Everything just small. Parking was close enough. Great for 1-2 people but too small for family.

I was told to park in the lot across the street. They had a deal where it would be $39/ 24hrs and since I was staying the weekend it was perfect. Upon picking up my car I discovered that the lot across the street was, in fact, not the correct lot and cost me an extra $90 for my trip.

Walking distance to the Empire State Building. Across the street from the ESB is a fantastic pizza place called Little Italy. Subway locations near by. The hot breakfast at the hotel was different every day. The hotel had a luggage holding area that was very useful on our last day as we didn't have to drag our luggage with us after we checked out. Only bad thing was that it was small but hey it's NYC!

Decided at Thanksgiving to take my mom & daughter to NYC at Christmas, something we had done in the past for a number of years. We had never stayed at the BW, but the reviews & price were so good we decided to try it. Everything in the reviews was spot on. The staff here couldn't be more pleasant & helpful, the hotel is clean & well maintained and the breakfast was impressive (we just had to wait a few minutes for a table). The rooms are small - but that's not unusual for NYC; note: we only had one large suitcase between us (4 adults + 4 big suitcases - be flexible and come with a sense of humor). Location is great - reasonable walking distance to Rockefeller, Times Square; Empire State Bldg & Macy's are just around the corner. If the rooms were a little larger, this hotel would be perfect! However, the warmth of the staff, the cleanliness/maintenance of the hotel, the breakfast & price make up for that in our opinion. We would def recommend this hotel! :-)

Very new facility, but rooms are definitely NYC sized, meaning very small. I traveled with one other person & we had 2 full sized beds, not a lot of room for luggage. Bathroom was brand new & very comfortable to get ready in. Great location for 34th St Macy's, Bryant Park, & Times Square.

We stayed for 4 nights, it wasn't as expensive as other places yet it was very comfortable and clean , we arrived 3 hours early and they let us check in without a problem, everybody was very friendly and breakfast was really good and they served a different variety every day. Only con was that we didn't get a very good view since our room was on the 3rd floor, there are 6 rooms by floor and only 3 of them get street view, the other 3 look at the back of the Bulding , rooms aren't that big but if you are going on vacations like us you'll only go back to the hotel to shower and sleep.I think the rooms size are what you should expect for New York, we will definitely stay there again on our next visit. It's really close to herald square, Macy's ,1.5 blocks from the Empire State Bulding and a very short walking distance to the subway.
