First time in NYC, first time at this hotel. We got a complimentary upgrade to our room and they allowed us to check out late the day we were scheduled to leave.
Fantastic, responsive staff and a wonderful room. The bed was perfect and the bathroom fit for a Sultan.
We had a lovely stay and the staff was excellent.
We had a handsome junior suit with plenty of room, nicely appointed and a large bathroom. Hot water available in shower or tub immediately. Very good sound insulation. All lighting controlled by electronic center on either bedside. Excellent mattress. Pleasantly surprised to find that we had a $100 credit after booking during an Orbitz sale, so we had no additional charges for our room service orders. In my opinion, similar to our stays at the St Regis, perhaps a little greater sense of warmth than our stays at the Four Seasons. But all three are wonderful hotels. Delightful week, would recommend highly.
It was a very lovely hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. From the moment we arrived, which was earlier than the normal check in time, we were able to go to the room, which was ready for us. The bed was extremely comfortable. Room was clean and well appointed. We stayed for four nights, and really enjoyed returning after a long day of touring, usually very tired, and feeling that we'd returned to a very comfortable "home". Bathroom could use a grab bar on the outside of the tub, in addition to the one that is already there on the inside. This would be useful because the tub rim I saw high, so I found you are short or have any balance or difficulty lifting legs, this would provide support. Otherwise, the bathroom is comfy. I will definitely recommend to other NYC visitors, and return to the Peninsula on our next trip.
conveniently located in midtown. Great roof top bar with views.
Lovely hotel in great location. Spa, fitness center, and pool were second to none. Marc did a great job checking us in. Jodi is very professional and skilled masseuse.
Great art, great spa, great food and bars, and all of this from one location. Best indoor pool and rooftop bar in NYC too! This is an extremely well rounded hotel that has it all. Central to everything you will ever want and need to donin NYC. I've stayed at them all - every luxury hotel - and this one is exceptional because it has all the essentials and the cherry on top is the staff. One of the kindest, most professional and hospitable in the city. Hands down this is the best choice for your stay in NYC.
Upon checking in I was upgraded complimentary! I am accustomed to stay at the Peninsula hotels in Hong Kong and Beijing as well as treatements at their spa in Shanghai, but it was my first time in one of their 3 hotels in USA! So I was affirmed that they are worldclass and consistent with the high quality they stand for ~*~ Will be back and especially look forward to visit their newest edition hotel in Paris!
The accommodations were very generous and extremely comfortable
The staff was unbelievable… We flew to New York City for one night to see a Broadway show and I mentioned to the staff that it was a surprise. The front desk alerted the staff in the hotel and restaurant and everyone kept it a secret. Transportation to the show was a complementary black SUV. The staff was extremely friendly and the facilities were immaculate. Thank you...
This was a good spot for a quick weekend in NYC. Great roof top deck to enjoy the sun and a few drinks.
While the location is 5-stars/diamonds I was not overly impressed based on its reputation and stature in the industry! While it boast of one being able to control everything in his/her room from one "touch-of-a-button" location nothing can be further from the truth. Technology wise it is still in the 20th century. I met several of the "Jr." managers and found them to be exceptionally cordial, well educated and hungry to deliver 5-star level service. Now it is up to top management and the owners to give them the tools they NEED to perform in such a manner and at such a level!
This was a perfect location to enjoy theater, great restaurants, shopping, and Central Park. We chose this hotel because of it's 5 star reputation and reference from travel web site for being supportive of gay visitors -- we were not disappointed. All the staff went out of their way to help us celebrate and make us feel welcome with a room upgrade and champagne. Concierge services were outstanding. Even other hotel guests were great -- buying us drinks when they heard we had just gotten married.
Went for my 30th birthday as a surprise. The spa was amazing, staff was wonderful, location is perfect. Definitely will return!
Everything was perfect. Just what I was looking for to celebrate daughters birthday and have quality time spent in quiet luxury. Great place for that special time! They were happy to take care of all our needs..reservations, transportation, recommendations for restaurants and directions for getting around NYC. Location is perfect .....much better than Broadway, which is hectic and very noisy.
I am not one to have anyone do anything for me. I carry my own bags, do my own research, make my own reservations, so it was a little odd but very enjoyable to get incredible five-star treatment. My door was opened from the cab, my bags were collected for me from the trunk and taken to my room, and everyone was courteous and professional. My room was awesome, very quiet. The only issue was the bathroom sink was clogged and so was the tub. To be fair, had a I complained I know they would have sent someone within minutes to fix whatever I wanted to have fixed. The concierge made reservations for me at a great steakhouse close by (Quality Meats, steer clear of the porterhouse for two and just get the Filet!). This was the coolest part for me, how helpful and knowledgeable the concierge was. Room service was impeccable, the food was great, had breakfast one morning and a late night snack the next. Everything was expensive but this is 5th Ave NYC! Really enjoyed my stay and think the Peninsula is awesome, oh yeah - if you have kids they have lots of activities for kids and even have a fitness schedule of classes (yoga, etc.) throughout the week. A great 5 star hotel!
Excellent Hotel! Everything was perfect and I highliy recommend this Hotel! Go there and stay there! :-)
We had a fantastic weekend getaway at the Peninsula. All I can give is praise for this hotel. Will definately stay there again.
The Peninsula was WONDERFUL! A great place to stay. In fact, so nice, on of the people in our group said her wouldn't mind just staying in the hotel instead of getting out and seeing the sights. We were so close to all of the great places in New York, too! They have a limousine service in the hotel that will take you to the theatre, NO CHARGE, also wil drive you to places more that 10 blocks from the hotel. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
