Booking flights from Indianapolis to New York means that you’re heading from one fabulous, artistic and fun-filled city to another. There are a few ways to get to Indianapolis International Airport, which is located seven miles southwest of the center of town. The bus stops at the airport’s Ground Transportation Center and will cost you $1.75. You can also take a cab from the city for about $25 to $35, and it will take a little less than twenty minutes. You could also park your car at the airport for $9 per day.
When you arrive in New York, you’ll land at JFK, La Guardia, or Newark Airport. You can take the AirTrain service from the airport for $5. You’ll get off at the “A” subway JFK train stop. From there, you can take the subway into the city for $2.50. Taxis have flat fares into the city, and the fare into midtown is $45. Taxis and trains are also available from the other airports. Fares are clearly posted, so check before embarking on your journey. Summers in New York City can be hot and humid, especially during August. Temperatures at this time average in the 80s and often go higher. Nights don’t usually provide much relief, so if you’re in the city at the time, dress in light clothes to beat the heat. Winters in New York can be quite chilly, with temperatures averaging in the low 30s. There are so many things to do in New York that you’ll never get around to them all, but one thing you should try to see is the Metropolitan Museum of Art, home to some of the best art collections and exhibitions in the world. Get some real New York pizza at Grimaldi’s in Dumbo, Brooklyn.
