Those individuals who take a flight to Indianapolis International Airport (IND) will find that the city offers a number of attractions for tourists including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Lucas Oil Stadium, the Indiana State Museum and the Indianapolis Zoo.
Indianapolis also hosts a number of popular annual events; the historic Indianapolis 500 is the biggest such event the city has to offer, and takes place throughout the whole of May every year. There are a number of activities to explore in the festival including a Mini-Marathon, an Education Program for fourth grade kids, and many first class parades.
A flight to Indianapolis International Airport (IND) will land you just seven miles to the southwest of the central business district of Indiana. Downtown Indianapolis can be reached from the airport in as little as just sixteen minutes by taking the I-70.
The IndyGo's Green Line Express offers a non-stop service to take visitors from the airport to the city, and there are also taxis and car rental services available.
Other notable annual events in Indianapolis include the Eitejorg Museum's Indian Market and Festival in late June. You can also visit the Indiana State Fair in August; the nation's premiere agriculture, education, entertainment and youth showcase.
