We stayed 4 nights at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya and overall had a great experience. Transportation arranged through the resort was smooth and comfortable, and check-in was pleasant with champagne offered while we waited. Afterward, a golf cart took us to our room. The room was modern with nice built-in tech like Bluetooth speakers and electronic “Do Not Disturb” panels. Two small drawbacks were the smoke detector above the bed flashing all night and a very loud coffee machine. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed L’Olivo (Italian), La Hacienda (Mexican), and Mar y Tierra (steak & seafood). The breakfast buffet had great variety, Cafe Sisal was perfect for coffee and desserts, and the food trucks were great for lunch. Activities were a highlight - carbine shooting, Zumba, and pool games. Israel, Carlos, and Pablo from the entertainment team were fantastic. The property is beautiful and very clean, and seeing coatis and iguanas around the resort was a fun touch. The beach itself is beautiful, although we were unlucky with heavy seaweed during our stay so swimming wasn’t possible. The only real downside was the pool lounge situation. Guests reserve chairs very early (around 5 AM). When I moved unattended items after confirming with staff it was allowed, another guest threatened me. The resort should remind guests at check-in and clear chairs before the pool opens at 7 AM. Overall we had a great stay and would absolutely return to this resort.

The majority of the staff was very courteous. The lady at the check in desk spoke VERY quickly so it was a bit difficult for us to understand her. So after we got settled into the room we went to ask the concierge some questions and it seemed to annoy him. The good was delicious, including room service. We wake very early but there’s no coffee available until 7, but all you have to do is call room service the night before and put in your order for whatever time you wish!! The showed each night were good but not great but we still had fun. We got to see coati, several different kinds of birds, capybara and of course a plethora of iguanas. We would definitely stay here again

Horrible ! We rented 3 rooms for 3 nights at a little under 8000 dollars . We get here and waited an hour for a tour of our rooms and to get our room keys , no one ever came so we just asked for the keys and got our own room without a tour. Next day our room keys didn’t work after we returned from an excursion. We were tired and wet and it took another hour and 15 min to get another key. The line was so long on people having issues. Person who finally made us a key could care less about how horribly things were going for us . I would never recommend this place to anyone !

This resort is the most amazing place that I have ever been to. The staff was accommodating and pleasant. The dining exceeded our expectations. The pool was huge, warm, clean, and the swim up bars are phenomenal. We will absolutely be back year after year!
