There was no privacy! Even though I put do not disturb, the staff just walks right in. There was a serious lack of communication between the reception desk and the concierge desk. I was given a free french dinner, and then during check out they asked for $2500. That almost gave me a heart attack! Aly (Alyhandra) working at the concierge desk was a treat. She was extremely polite, well mannered, and respectful. She made our stay worth it! But the invasion of privacy was furstrating.

Fantastic time. Met a lot of people from quite a few different countries. Bartenders kept us well hydrated. The golf cart drivers were a lot of fun. Beach is decent but definitely want to wear water shoes as a lot of coral and rocks. Snorkeling was good but high winds so quite murky. Not the resorts fault for wind obviously. Food was good. I’m not real picky so always found something good. Ate at the buffets and they were good. Rooms clean. We do tip and I hope more people will. Pay is pretty low in Mexico. Less than 10 dollars a day. Good place. We will probably go there again

We loved the lazy river & made sure to go around it several times a day. The spa was very beautiful & relaxing. And we have never experienced a spa like that before. But, although the rooms were beautiful, they were noisy & echoing, and we were on the 3rd floor! Several nights we were woken up at 4am by loud yelling and laughing from people coming back to their own rooms. The rooms were clean & had great amenities, but the pillows were too big and hurt my neck. There were several pillows, but they were all the same. The ladies in the ice cream shop were rude every time I went in there even with a way too early closing time at 5pm, often, they shut and locked their doors even earlier than that. The ice cream shop should be open til 10pm, not 5pm. The ladies in the coffee shop were awesome, always sweet & accommodating! Our concierges, Ruby & Pablo, were friendly & helpful! Our favorite restaurant was the bbq on the beach, but our least favorite was the steakhouse, the food was delicious and the steaks cooked perfectly, but the lighting was terrible. The lights were installed directly above the fan and it gave a strobe light effect all evening that made my friend nauseous. The beach itself was beautiful and the beach volleyball was fun. We also wanted to play bocce ball but we could never figure out where to get the equipment for it & only saw one activity director with people on the bocce ball tracks once, on our last day.

The staff when checking in was no welcoming at all. Stood at the counter for 5 mins without anyone making any eye contact and literally looked

We loved the lazy river, the beach and pools. The only thing I would recomend is trying improve the dinner buffet. Breakfast and lunch buffet are good. And you cant leave out the staff. Everyone of them are wonderful people. The fist night we arrived we got a ton of hugs from waiters to bartenders to check in desk and dive shop guys. They all remembered our names and went out of there way to make our trip wonderful. That's the true reason we keep coming back. Our 4 trip in year and half.

Staff was good. Coffee was wonderful. Japanese restaurant was decent. Now the negatives: 1. Room had a peculiar smell 2. Long walk from the room to the lobby 3. Food choices very limited and redundant, not even the slightest change in the buffet options 4. Buggies transporting folks were more interested in taking club members, very few stopped for us 5. Drinks were average, with very few bartenders excited to serve We would not be coming back.

It was not crowded so there were no big lines anywhere. The landscape was pretty and well maintained. The food was good and had a lot of choices to pick from. People serving the food were very nice. The room size was great but needs to be updated. The bathroom needs a lot of updating (faucet, toilet, floor tiles in the shower), sofa in the room shows stains, the balcony door was rusty and hard to open/close and the AC not working. We have reported everyday since we arrived that the AC is not working and just after four nights of “sauna” they sent someone to replace the thermostat. The beach does not have sand and there are stones in the water so you need water shoes. Overall OK but I will not call this resort more than a three stars resort.

Very big, not much restaurants, not very good quality food and drinks. Healthy bar very good only . A lots of swimming pools, very cold water. Nice beach. Good service. Nice spa.

We were charged 300$ for something that did not happen to our room. The place where you put your key card in to turn the lights off fell off the wall and broke. Must have been old and had nothing to do with us. Would not let us leave the resort unless it was paid. Be very careful with this place. They also refused to get us the manager to speak to.

To make it quick terrible service, food was awful, rooms look bright in pictures however the bathrooms are dark and not updated/dingy. Pool is nice, beach is amazing. Would never go back and would never recommend. Want to hear more to talk to me please email me.

The all inclusivity idea is always a convenience. But at the same time, it shows the mass production of the food, hence it's definitely a "quantity over quality" mentality. Most of the food taste is decent but also bland. Putting the food quality aside, the initial greetings that we've received in the front desk was particularly unsatisfactory as well. The lady who greeted us was far from warm. She's very short with us and definitely did not appear hospitable. Not sure if that was just a one particularly bad day for her but perhaps a bit of awareness when you're working in a hospitality business? Moving on to our room, our first room's toilet was broken. It wouldn't flush and we saw a couple of baby cockroaches. The bathtub has a lot of residues of hairs. Just overall unacceptably unclean. So we called to ask for a different room, which we got and was decent in cleanliness. However, on our 2nd day, we also got a visit from a little friend, this time not a baby cockroach but a legit big cockroach. We're just tired of complaining so we got rid of it ourselves. Overall pools and staff seems pretty friendly. Akumal area in itself is gorgeous but this review isn't about the area but the establishment of the hotel. So...yeah. Definitely not coming back and would try a different resort next time. Suggestion: start by training your front desk staff to be warm before spending your energy in writing an apologetic reply to this review.

Very large lots of activity. Restaurants and food lacking.

Food was just okay to bad. More AC in dining areas. Lounge chairs by the pool were impossible to get if you didn't have your spot staked out by 8/830

cleanliness of property was excellent. Maybe different options at food outlets?
