Very laid back atmosphere. The pools were absolutely huge! Food and staff was very good. Staff members always went out of their way to accommodate us. Only thing that could improve was the beach conditions. It was windy and grass/seaweed was washing up on the shore. Staff was picking it up everyday, but couldn't stay ahead of it. We would revisit this resort again
We recently got home from a seven night stay at haven. I’m an ocean girl and my husband a pool guy so we decided on an ocean front swim out. For the price it was doable for us and we considered the room a luxury. We were looking to relax and get some quality time and Haven Riviera definitely did not disappoint. I would rate the resort a 10 for our needs. The food was very good and I liked the selection of fresh fruits and veggies. The staff was always courteous and seemed eager to make us happy. Since we were looking for downtime we didn’t do much but take the catamaran out and it was absolutely worth it. We visited all the pools but chose to make the most of our time in our swim out. The weather was a bit chilly when we arrived . We were able to swim during the day but evenings were just too chilly for us and we are from Illinois. It didn’t ruin our experience. For our price range we will definitely be back! I was disappointed in the lack of tipping I observed. The workers go above and beyond and in my opinion one should expect to tip every time at an all inclusive.
Ok, we’ve got our share of all inclusives for a while. Dining was mediocre. They don’t know the meaning of a “rare” steak. Men’s closed toe shoes, even if they are a $200 pair of leather ColeHaan closed toe sandals really means HeyDudes or white running shoes are preferred and you need to go back into your room and put those on. Most of the incidental staff was not warm and welcoming. Some were very kind and wonderful, apologizing for your bad experience. Very limited night time entertainment and ya better get there early to get a seat. This whole thing of putting your towel, hat and book out to secure your spot by the pool at 6:00 am seems just about as junior high as you can get. What I really hated was seeing those who you knew banked on this place to be their special get away they’ve been saving for and looking forward to being disappointed. I’d send them someplace else if I had the money. Makes our hearts sad. 😔

I enjoyed everything that was there and what was provided to us. I loved our room and the beautiful view of the ocean. What I didn’t like was that even though the resort was supposed to be all inclusive there some things there that wasn’t inclusive. For example, some restaurants serve food that you still have to pay even though it was supposed to be all inclusive.

Haven was an experience to remember. It was clean, quiet and the food was awesome!. Lots of dining choices.

Extremely disappointed with this supposed 9/10 star resort. It was under repair, missing tile and mold on the shower head, noise in the ceiling that maintenance was unable to fix properly after multiple attempts and food was terrible. We checked out within 24 hours of our arrival and the resort refuses to issue any kind of credit for the other six days!! Horrible upper management who does not respond to emails. We are still waiting to hear back from them.
