Ibstay in this property and it was the worst mistake ever. The contructions is nice but a bit old but that was not the major issue. I arrived after 4 PM from international fligh and the first thing the front desk told me to eat in any of the restaurant i have to make reservation before 4PM, becUse i arrive after 4 i have to go to the restaurant to see if they can make the favor to accommodate me. Something extremely ridiculous. They should help you to get the spot in the restaurant where you want to eat the fisrt day if you arrive after 4PM The first day the AC was super cold and i couldn't adjust it in the thermostat it was already pre-set up. I contacted the frontdesk and they sent someone to fix it. Worst mistake i was with no AC for 2 daysi called the manager and he said it was working perfectly. LIE the temperature inside the room was 87 for 2 days until finally they decided to change the room. Food it is not so great. The buffet doesn't have many variety. I visit xcaret and the buffet there was way better than the one in the hotel. Dont book this hotel it is a garbage. It doesn't worth the money you pay.

The food was of good quality, the cleanliness of the resort in general(our room, the restaurants and common areas) was good. The service at the bars was deficient, not nearly enough service providers in those areas of the resort. My biggest concern and disappointment was regarding the superbowl. We purchased a private table at a cost of $315(turns out it was $345), the table included a credit for bottles of alcohol for the amount paid. I did order the bottles but that was not my focus, we wanted to watch the game with table service for food and drinks. I was advised when i booked the table that was included. We received very little service, when we asked to order food we were told that was not an option for us. All the tables around us ordered food that was delivered to their table. In addition all the tables around us ordered and were served drinks and received the bottles they had ordered early in the game, ours came at the beginning of the fourth quarter after my partner asked for them. There was also no organization for the event, people made there way and stood in our line of view to the TV broadcasting the game and we had to shoo them away. It was such a disappointment and it put a damper on our entire vacation. I approached the person responsible for the event that evening and was assured we would get to speak to someone the next day. The next day nothing was resolved, we were told we could attend restaurants in the vip section and given fancy fruity drinks.

Haven is a very nice resort. Dinners were excellent! Not a lot of choices for lunch if you don’t do the Serenity club, there is always a buffet and 2 small snack shacks; but no restaurants where you can order from. Breakfast is only a buffet, so no choices there either. Very nice rooms and pools. Some of the entertainment was decent, but nothing special. Beach is nice and quiet, not a lot of people on it. Staff is very friendly and great service. One pool is quiet and laid back, one pool is more of a party, loud pool. We’d stay there again

We really enjoyed our stay at the Haven! The hotel is very close and convenient to the airport without being in hotel zone. We really enjoyed that there was one pool with music, entertainment, and activities and another more mellow pool for just relaxing and reading. The grounds are very pretty and well manicured. The staff was very accommodating and wonderful (Especially Carlos by the pool.) the restaurants and food was pretty good, but our main complaint would be the difficulty of getting into the restaurants with our group of 6 to 8 people.
