First of all this property is touting itself as a five-star resort which is absolutely not the case, if you're expecting 5 star hospitality then look someplace else. I suppose it might have been a five-star when it opened in the 90s but today I give it a three star. Maintenance was quick to respondas I had five service requests in the room from toilet mechanical issues to the AC and making a terrible racket usually at 3:00 a.m. Tipping is important here as it definitely increases the service availableity and effort by the staff (bring change). The highlight of this property is the dive shop Dressel divers. Very professional well organized dive shop that can handle large and small groups and everything in-between.

We enjoyed the beautifully kept garden areas, bars, coffee machine, animals, and staff. our room was always cleaned by the time we returned from breakfast! The beach is not an easy beach to enjoy, very rocky. I took a free scuba try out class in the pool and my tank ran out of air. not too safe!!!! we went on the discover class the following day and did 3 dives. Will return again sometime soon.

We had an incredible stay at Iberostar Waves Cozumel. My husband, our 2.5-year-old son, and I enjoyed every moment. From arranging a nanny to getting back into scuba diving after almost three years, everything was handled so smoothly. Babysitting: We were genuinely impressed with the babysitting crew. Isabella (front desk manager) was like the sweetest auntie to our son—warm, attentive, and always there when we needed help. Alexia (kitchen chief assistant) went above and beyond to entertain him and make sure our picky eater was happy. And Michele was so friendly and caring. They all made us feel completely at ease and added so much comfort to our trip. Food: The food was simply amazing. The variety was mind-blowing, everything cooked perfectly, and we loved having the main restaurant plus three specialty restaurants. We never had a meal that wasn’t great. Room: Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept. It was on the smaller side for a family of three, and the beds could be a bit softer, but overall it met our needs and we slept well. Diving: The dive crew was awesome! Each dive master had their own personality, but Veronica was definitely our favorite. She was everything you’d hope for—knowledgeable, confident, charismatic, and so lively and open. She made every dive memorable. The dive shop team organized everything well overall, though I do wish the boats were grouped so divers with similar experience levels stayed together and could keep the same dive master thro

Staff is the big standout for us. Everybody was helpful. The Executive Chef managed a great kitchen with delicious choices. The Property needs a refresh in terms of looking impeccable with EVERYthing working properly. We will go back to Iberostar again, and we aren't even divers!
