Love the dive shop, animals and staff. Food not so good.

I loved the resort. It felt secluded and my kids loved the wildlife on the property. The food at the buffets was acceptable and the on site restaurants were great. The rooms were small but we were hardly in the room. I did like that they were bungalows and not a high rise. It felt like we were in the jungle.

This is my third time staying at this resort. It is close to the airport and well maintained. I always choose this location because of the fact that DRESSEL DIVERS is on site. Very clean and well maintained, they are in the process of making more improvements. The food was excellent and the staff was very polite. My room was 3314 and it was close to the dive shop. It hadn't been updated yet but worked perfectly for my needs. Recommend bringing a surge protector because there are limited outlets. Heat and hot water worked fine. Nightly entertainment was excellent and special thanks to the dive staff. I will return in the future!

Our entire experience was great. The staff provides great service always. The resort has awesome grounds and landscaping (and animals), this is true for all Iberostar locations we've stayed at. The bungalow-like accommodations are a nice touch. The food selection at the buffets was great, could always find something we liked. Plus they have ice cream. The pool and beach areas are very nice. The entertainment staff does a great job all day, and the evening shows are worth seeing. Perfect place for divers, the snorkeling was okay. .

Iberostar is the last hotel south of downtown and closest to Palancar Reefs. This means a short 5 to 15 minute boat ride instead of the hour ride from hotels closer to town. They have excellent food. They got a new chef last year which really improved the food. This year it's even better. The buffets and special restaurants (included) are very good to excellent. Huge variety for choices for all meals. The rooms are very clean, quiet, comfortable beds and pillows. (Some other hotels have concrete beds with a mattress on top.) Excellent staff: friendly and helpful front desk and bell captains, bar staff, special activities coordinator, food staff, room staff, and activities people. Great air conditioning, TV, in-room safe and strong door locks. Dressel Divers is the on-site dive operation. This is a first class operation. The staff are also very helpful, friendly and professional. They take their jobs seriously and the dive masters do a great job keeping their groups together and safe on dives. Their facilities are comprehensive. The beach is great. Soft sand that you can walk for blocks or further. Most of Cozumel's hotels have a rocky shore or small cliff, but the southern hotels are on nice beaches with palm trees and lots of cabanas for shade. The pool is large for swimming or cooling off and theirs a kids pool also. Daily intro dives classes are given in the pool. Most other PADI certifications are available too at Dressel Divers.

It was a great place to stay , food was great , the staff from the time we got there till we left were outstanding ! The entertainment was wonderful . Would go again .

Comfortable Food is better than most other all inclusive

We always make our trip during the off season. They are usually doing building maintenance around the conplex, but that does not affect the trip for us. The spa is great and the beach is great.

Iberostar resort was nothing less than perfect. Staff was polite, attentive, and the resort provided everything to make this vacation amazing. Food was plentiful and available always, entertainment was spectacular and not drawn out, activities were always going on. I also enjoyed the services of the Dive Shop, everyone there was extremely professional and made my diving experiences perfect. Rooms were exceptional, well stocked, cleaned daily, and air conditioned. The wildlife around the resort was a big plus including the well behaved cats that greet you in the dining room, flamingos, parrots, turtles, iguanas, wild pigs, peacocks and pea hens, all a part of the vacation. Once again it's hard to name all so I want to reiterate ALL STAFF WERE EXCEPTIONAL INNPROVIDING ANY AND ALL SERVICES.

From the front desk to the dive shop, our experience at Iberostar was top notch. Recently refurbished, the facilities look and feel great. It's jungly and there is lush, manicured vegetation everywhere as well as iguanas and peacocks wandering about. The staff really made our experience memorable. Edward in customer service, Lee in the dive shop, Teresa on the pool service staff were standouts in their pride and professionalism, spending a lot of time with us answering all our questions. Special thanks to Ailine and Alejandra from the Star Friends team for getting us involved in fun daily activities and also for their awesome dance performances at the nightly theater shows. The shows were much better than I expected and the employees perform them. The same person you might meet running the kids club or teaching aquatic aerobics by day, might be swinging from a trapeze or juggling fire by night. It's really impressive and it was a great value. We met many returning guests and plan to return ourselves.

I stayed in Iberostar with my daughter in December 2014. It is a very nice and beautiful place. Food is very good, so the staff too. Flamingos, iguanas, parrots - it was so funny to see them every day. Perfect to stay and for the scuba diving.

A lot of renovations during our stay this time (our second time here), led to some difficulty getting around the resort, and problems with power and a/c outages. The food was not up to par at the beginning of the week, but by the middle and end of the week had greatly improved. Service is always great here - very friendly and helpful staff. The evening shows were entertaining and fun. Our main reason for coming to this location is the diving - you can't beat it. The dive shop is very convenient and it is great to just walk over from your room and go on your dive. The location along the reef is excellent, with very short boat rides to the dive sites - the dive shop and location are 5 star!!!

Research best place in mexico to get diving certified and this was it! the Dive crew at the resort was amazing. The resort itself was beautiful and well kept. Food options were a bit repetitive and limited but good. Unfortunately it rained almost the entire time I was there but had a great time overall.

we stayed and had a great time! the bed was hard as a rock but the housekeeping staff brought me a mattress pad to make me comfortable. food was so so but we went during low season which was fine

Great hotel for the value. Dive shop is wonderful. I wish the hotel had some air conditioning outside of the rooms.

I am never disappointed when I stay at this hotel. It is located 10-15 minutes from the airport and just outside the Cozumel Cruise Ship Area. My room was clean and the staff was excellent. I chose this hotel to go diving and was very happy with my experience there. I saw so many things and special shout out to Dressel Divers Cozumel for taking care of me. Special thanks to Liam, Ronin, Jay, Erika and Alan. I will be returning to this hotel again!

I stayed here because a friend wanted to go to Mexico to celebrate our milestone birthdays. I guess I just didn't like the all inclusive arrangement. While it was nice having everything paid for up front, I like to go to new restaurants, I like to explore the area I'm visiting and I'm not much for the cheesy evening entertainment. The restaurants they had were all very similar food and it was all just mediocre. When I checked in, they didn't even inform me there were activities to be booked outside the resort. I probably would have paid extra and done more if I had known. We did go for a snorkel trip with the on site dive shop and that was fun.

This hotel is perfect if you dont expect to walk into the ocean from the beach, if you dont expect a clean room, if you dont expect to have any type of good service. We started out in a room in the middle of the resort surrounded by trees, creating a room that is damp and dark and since I metioned dark - the lighting is terrible. We did upgrade our room to ocean front, but the bed was unbelievably uncomfortable. I felt like I was going to role out of it from the time I layed down and had to put a pillow under the sheet at the edge to keep from falling out of bed. The beach is lined in coral, cannot walk into the ocean from the beach without water shoes, so we spent most of our trip at the pool where there are wait staff but dont circulate around the pool, they stand at the pool bar talking to each other. In the main dining hall, expect to get your own coffee as the staff ignore you most of the time. Their steak house restaurant is their best bet. You do have to make a reservation but you are allowed to book up to 3 reservations at a time. The wait staff are very good at this restaurant and should train the rest of the resort on customer service. This was my 5th trip to Cozumel and woud not recommend this hotel, to anyone.
