Moon Palace Cancún - All Inclusive

The only problem is that the water park close too early, it's like everyone is forced to stop swimming after 8pm. Other than that it was a great hotel.

Excellent hotel but the checking was the worst, we waited almost 2 hours before they gave us our room and it was a mistake on the hotel The first impression always counts and our first impression was the worst

Highly recommended, friendly and attentive staff, many things to do, great food.

I stayed in Moon Sunrise, which is little old. There was no elevator to 3rd floor. But that was okay for me. Also the mattresses are saggy and uncomfortable. Next time I would like to stay in their new Grand section. The resort credit is not 100% free to use. I paid service fee on the credit which I didn't like. There are lot of limitations in using the credit. So, I couldn't utilize my resort credit fully. The transportation from/to Cancun airport is not included in the price. If you book through Orbitz you have to arrange your own transfers from/to Airport which is an extra cost. We reached Cancun airport around 10.30PM. The private shuttle transportation took more than one hour to the hotel. The restaurants in the moon palace were closed at 11pm. So I ordered 24 hr room service which took 1.5 hrs to get me the food. The room service food was not so great. Very few items were available at night. Apart from few small things we enjoyed staying in moon palace. I love the food in their Italian and Thai restaurants.

Absolutely gorgeous location, comfortable accommodations, and attentive and professional staff. Our daughter has a tree nut allergy, and all of the restaurants inquired about if anyone in our family had a food allergy. Even in the buffet, my daughter got a sesame seed bagel, and a staff member came to our table to make sure that she was not also allergic to seeds. The food was great. It was very convenient to have 24 hour room service with our all-inclusive package. Get a side of spicy mayo with the hamburgers! Pools were fabulous and the ocean water was crystal clear and as warm as a bath. Fish and stingrays swim right past your feet! The Moon Palace Sunrise was a perfect place for our family vacation. Couldn't have asked for more for our money!

Moon Palace consisted of three resorts: Sunrise, Nizuc & The Grand. It didn't say on my reservations but we were booked at Sunrise which gave us use of Nizuc for free. The Grand needed a day pass for access at an additional cost. I can not comment on the Grand as we did not go there. The resort is massive and they assigned us to the last building in the resort which was the Sombrero. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the lobby/pool area or you could wait for a golf cart to come pick you up but the wait could be even longer. I tried to switch rooms to something closer but nothing was available. The distance from room to activities was HIGHLY inconvenient. The main pool you see in the pictures is at the Sunrise. We stayed in the only section that seemed to be playing music and had activities and had a good time although the drinks at the poolside bar seemed light or watered down. The Flow-Rider is at Sunrise. The blue pool slide you see in pics is at the Nizuc pool but otherwise the Nizuc pool seemed small in comparison. Sunrise had two outdoor restaurants, an outdoor buffet for lunch and three indoor restaurants (Seafood, Mexican Buffet, Italian, Asian) Nizuc had similar buffet but Brazilian and Mexican Sitdown. The Mexican sitdown, Arrecifes, was the best in both resorts with the Brazilian, Los Caporales coming in a distant second. Sunrise food was just "ok" compared to Nizuc. The beach was infested with seaweed which made it unuseable for us. Nightly entertainment was good.

The overall experience was ok. Just a few glitches though. We went on excursions and our packages that we paid our money for wasnt up to par. So we basically paid $200 for nothing with the dolphins discovery because we didnt receive what we paid for! I would NEVER visit again!!!!

The hotel itself was nice. Buildings a bit dated. Rooms were very nice. Staff was beyond great. Service a food were amazing. The beach was horrible and smelled like sewage. We would absolutely visit a moon palace at a different location. I would give the hotel and service a 10. Beach a 0. If you are not interest in looking at the ocean than this resort would be great for you. The seaweed is piled up 2 feet high on the beach. I just want everyone to know that the service and staff was beyond excellent. We were only disappointed with the beach.

Moon Palace is a wonderful and beautiful resort that has everything you could possibly want! There was no need to leave the resort unless you wanted to go out exploring. The only reason I did not give it a five star is because there were ants in a part of our room.

Staff is amazing. Pools are wonderful. Many restaurants to choose from. Good for families and friends

Service, food, drinks, golf all are first rate. Cannot wait to go back.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. We really enjoyed the days and nights there.

Everything was great but we needed more excitement, more entertainment. Too mellow for us.

For the third year in a row we have thoroughly enjoyed. Due to size of resort it has child friendly areaa as well as quiet adult areas and everything in between. Lack of pristine water at beach is only downer.

Amazing resort, very clean, everything that you may need for a pleasant vacations; My only complain is the credit that they advertise with the room is a trick and is not worth it; you can not use the credit how ever you want, and the only things that you can use your credit, they charge you the taxes base on the unbelievable prices that they have, that way nobody use the credit. Since all the food and drinks are included, you don't really need the credit unless your looking for souvenirs, which you can find them outside for less than half price, and if you try to use them for a tour they trying to sales you a different and more expensive one for the same place.

Great location, great beach, staff were extremely helpful and pleasant, great rooms.

Pleasing experience overall. Very professional staff at the resort earned my loyalty for the future trips to Palace resorts. We were skeptical about going to Moon Palace even after making the reservation, based on the fact that the resort is away from the hotel zone in Cancun and the beach at the resort is not a great one in comparison to hotel zone beaches. But the resort look and maintenance, very attentive to detail staff and the food choices won our hearts. The flexibility of visiting other Palace resort in the hotel zone area made up for beach part.

At first, I would like to mention if I knew 3 buildings with the different style in Moon Palace, it would be better to plan this trip. Unfortunately, I had naver found this information in Orbitz or Moon Palace website. The other things are good. Specially, Martin in the front desk was very kind and helpful. One mire weak point is the food quality. The variety is short. And several restaurants reqired to be waited long line. Some shasimi was not fresh. (Smell fishy) I think if Moon palace gives the advise of which building stayed and makes the variety of the food and better quality, I will recommend this wonderful place to my friends.

We don't usually do resorts. This one was lovely. The entire experience was gorgeous. I am not sure though the all inclusive lifestyle suits our sensibilities though.

Could not beat the ocean view from the room unbelievable!!

Thank you very much for sharing your honest comments about the service and how fascinating your visit was; we deeply regret knowing that the beach was a factor that influenced in your final rate. We want to share with you that due to the natural conditions of our beach, the appearance is different due to a coral reef that is located right in front of our property, however daily we carry out cleaning work that despite this, nature will always do that our efforts be doubled. We hope that very soon we will be able to serve you in any of our resorts in Cancun, it will be my pleasure. Sincerely, Jose Luis Gonzalez Moon Palace Cancun
